the "artfully long" season 2 is drawing to a close
If I'm gonna record it I'm gonna release it. POSSESSOR UNCUT.
In an attempt to post more episodes in general, I am going to record in weird places when I feel like talking about a movie and I'm all alone. Today I was moved to review Knock Knock from the driver's seat of my car.
Part 2! I took some uhhh "creative liberties" here and there to sidestep some racist bile that I was not comfortable reading.
Noah reads part 1 of H.P. Lovecraft's classic horror story "The Call of Cthulhu."
sorry about the projector :(
We talk about that wonderful first debate, the moving documentary "Time," the Netflix misery porn festival "The Devil All the Time," Denis Villeneuve's cartel thriller "Sicario," and the surreal, Japanese, 70s action franchise "Female Prisoner Scorpion."
If you don't know anything about ⊃∪∩⪽, this is a good place to start. Or maybe not? ⊃∪∩⪽ is confusing and hard to simplify but we cover the trailer, why we like ⊃∪∩⪽, and other related ⊃∪∩⪽ talk.
Chadwick Boseman, Tenet, and the Issue of Movie Theaters Reopening by Ticket Studs

First Reformed (feat. Nolan Roth) by Ticket Studs
The boys bring some friends along to enjoy the work of the cobbler himself. We only had the one mic for several people trying to social distance.
Noah summarizes the plot of both "The Last of Us" games for those who are not interested in video games and explains why they're basically movies. Full spoilers ahead. Bucky listens intently and then cleanses your pallet by telling you about the magic of Animal Crossing.
Friend of the Studs Nolan Roth drops by to talk about Baby Driver, mere hours before the wide-spread news regarding accusations of sexual assault by Ansel Elgort. The timing could not be more hilarious. Additionally, Nolan muses about the possibility of a TV Series based on the children's game "The Floor is Lava" three days before Netflix announces a game show series of the same name and premise. The point is that Nolan is weirdly prescient, so maybe take note of everything he says in this. We look forward to using him as a pop culture oracle.
Citizen Kane, Birds of Prey, HBO Max, H.P. Lovecraft, and Spongebob's Sexuality by Ticket Studs
a short bonus episode discussing choice moments from Don Hertzfeldt's "It's Such a Beautiful Day."
Noah has a conversation about movies with an old friend. Topics include the works of Christopher Nolan, Interstellar, Grown Ups 2, Bone Tomahawk, Star Wars, The Shape of Water, The Gentlemen, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri, and Out of the Furnace.
As requested, a short episode talking about Final Fantasy 7 remake.
Bucky returns to the podcast to be quizzed on her movie knowledge. Well, her knowledge of movies that Noah likes...
Remember when the apocalypse felt like it was still 20-30 years away? Remember when you could comfortably huddle up with your friends and have a nice, spirited discussion? I sure do. This ep was recorded pre-quarantine and was banked due to how long it was and how much editing was needed. Trimmed to lean hour and a half, please enjoy a conversation about some of our favorite movies of the 2010s.
It's the last one! What is the plot of this movie? We're trying to understand but we have no idea!
Oh boy here I go reviewing again. -Noah
