He and Mike explore the shocking moments that will haunt you long after the credits roll, discussing why Bone Tomahawk is not for the faint of heart. So buckle up and join Wong and Mike as they navigate one of the most disturbing films of the modern horror-western genre.

On this episode of the podcast (that originally came out on July 12th 2022 on Phillip's old podcast called My Celluloid Heart Podcast), Phillip and his cousin Chip talk about S. Craig Zahler's Bone Tomahawk from 2015. They start the show by giving some general information about the movie, and then they talk about who they would recast in the movie if it were made today. It's then time to read the listener opinions from Instagram and Facebook. Then Phillip and Chip walk through the movie while Phillip sprinkles in some facts throughout. They both rate the movie, and have a wrap up discussion. Phillip then reads his Phil's Film Favorite of the Week; Hands on a Hardbody (1997). It was a great conversation.
Following our Kurt Russell triple-feature, we decided to talk about even more Kurt Russell movies on Patreon! Those movies ended up being Tango & Cash (1989), 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001), and Bone Tomahawk (2015). Here is a small snippet of our discussion on that first film. You can hear the full episode now only on Patreon at https://www.patreon.com/almostcultclassics. It's our first ever triple feature episode! We decided that instead of discussing one movie, we would check out three starring one of our favorite actors - Kurt Russell! We picked three films that couldn't be more different from one another. They are: The Best of Times (1986), Escape from LA (1996), and Breakdown (1997). But we didn't stop there as on Patreon we decided to talk about even more Kurt Russell movies: Tango and Cash (1989), 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001), and Bone Tomahawk (2015). That bonus episode is available, along with dozens more, exclusively on our Patreon at: www.patreon.com/almostcultclassics. We gave it a shot, but it was inevitable to bring up Bone Tomahawk time and again when talking about S. Craig Zahler's most recent effort. There's more to this Real Talk segment than unflattering comparisons thought! Gibson's persona, Vaughnn's seriousness, and what can we really make of that Jennifer Carpenter sequence?
