Setting the stage for a deep and multifaceted discussion on achieving peace in 2025, this episode blends philosophical ideas about consciousness and reality with practical considerations of societal structures and community action.Joy Gilfilen begins by outlining the podcast's aim to discuss transitions in peace-building and explore alternatives to corporate rule. Eric Thompson delves into a foundational understanding of reality through consciousness, discussing the human disconnect from the natural world and the implications of our destructive actions. The initial segment also explores contrasting views of justice: as a balance of truths versus a dynamic flow between them. This leads to an introduction of consciousness as a fundamental basis for perceiving time, space, and the material world.Featuring Intentional Change Network contributors David McLeod of the Whatcom Transition Town Movement and Bruce Myers, a Public Artist focused on Quantum Place Based Practice.

This show was shown 4 times, once the Friday prior and three times on Saturday. There were none on Sunday due to the TFR. Two NDAA compliant drones manufacturers, Terraview and Skyfish are petitioning congress to remove the blue sUAS requirement. These two manufacturers claim the Blue UAS program is causing damage to NDAA compliant manufacturers. Both manufacturers applied for blue UAS, but were told the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) lacked the funding to evaluate their systems. “The Blue sUAS list was never designed to be a gate-keeper for federal government procurement,” says Bruce Myers, Terraview CEO. “It's actually stifling competition… The DIU never intended the Blue sUAS list to be the be-all-end-all. ” https://dronelife.com/2022/02/12/ndaa-compliant-us-drone-manufacturers-petition-congress-to-remove-blue-suas-requirement-from-gsa/ Check out our new FPV course! Nevertheless, after sometimes long and unavoidable periods of separation from my loved ones during the pandemic, it is time to devote my full time and attention to them. As I wrote in my letter to President Biden, it is time to go home.” Administrator Dickson said he made the decision in light of growing extended family and time away from his family. What comes to mind when you think about California in the mid to late 60's. Surfing, Beach Boys, fast boats? What about the Myers Manx VW Dune Buggy? Hello, I'm your host, Gary Neidert and you're listening to My First Ride Podcast. During the mid to late 60's, all kinds of recreation was available in California. Of course, surfing and the Beach Boys is top of mind. They recorded great songs about girls, cars and playing on the beach. During that time, building vehicles to play on the sand dunes became extremely popular. Take an old truck chassis, cut and weld, put big tires on it and presto, you have a dune buggy. There was a guy that built sail boats and surfed that turned his attention to playing on the dunes. He started making fiberglass bodied dune buggies, but, as a business, it wasn't profitable because the price point was a little too much. After manufacturing a few units of the original dune buggy, he revamped the design and mated the fiberglass body to a VW chassis and the Myers Manx was born. The creative genius behind this new trend was Bruce Myers. He went on to inspire a whole new industry with his simple, but sexy, design. Many companies copied what he created. However, they were never the same as Myers' original creation. The inspiration for this story came from a local car show I attended in April produced by Mustang Sally Productions. It was held at a local Bass Pro Shop with around 200 vehicles registered. It was a great show with fantastic vehicles of all types. As my wife and I were walking through and taking a few photos, we came across a blue metal flake fiberglass dune buggy. As we got closer, I noticed it was a Myers Manx. As we talked with the owner about his Myers Manx, he began to talk about the background of his car. Turns out it was signed by none other than Bruce Myers. This got me thinking back to when I was in high school and the memories of my dad buying a VW Dune Buggy. Unfortunately, it was not a Myers Manx but was well done and looked great. The color was metal flake blue with gray spoke mags and big tires. It was so much fun to drive. On this episode, I'm going to talk about the origins of the Myers Manx and what's going on with the company now.

Bruce Myers, Executive Director, United Spay Alliance “The law tends to be way behind the needs on the ground… We’ve got to let the law catch up.” In this Spay Day episode, Stacy is joined by Bruce Myers, an animal protection lawyer and new director of the United Spay Alliance. The United Spay Alliance (USA) seeks to establish timely spay-neuter programs in each state that are easily accessible to people who need it—not just a list of clinic locations, but a state-wide database with e-resources and FAQs. Bruce is optimistic about this goal, as it has relatively light financial projections, and in his first year as director he hopes to address some of the animal welfare issues in the Southern United States. He is open to hearing from people in the animal welfare community on subjects such as messaging, education, and access! To get in touch with Bruce, email him at myers@unitedspayalliance.org.
