Greetings! Scattered throughout today's program are takes in both word and music of "Blue in Green", the classic Miles Davis/Bill Evans tune. (Happy 100th Birthday, Mr. Davis!) That didn't start out being intentional until i noticed that the opening Laurie Altman piece was later followed by the similarly titled Morten Qvenild track. I was then motivated to find a couple of more unusual covers of "Blue in Green", notably by Dave Fiuczynski's Screaming Headless Torsos & the classic lineup of Oregon. These keep company with a plethora of new and less recent musics from multiple genres. Listen & Enjoy!! It's the longest episode title in the history of "A Musical Theatre Podcast," but funny enough, it's not even the longest musical title mentioned in the episode. This week, we're covering the Pulitzer Prize winning HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING, and we're doing it with award winning writer/composer Ryan Scott Oliver (35 MM, JASPER IN DEADLAND). Listening to this celebrated, modern musical composer speak with respect about classic musical theatre is a gift! And if that isn't enough, his longtime collaborator and co-founder of Actor's Therapy, Tony Award winner Lindsay Mendez (CAROUSEL, MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG) stops by to discuss the power of revivals and their new book "How to Survive in Musical Theatre Without Really Dying." In 2000, a young Japanese trader named Takashi Kotegawa (better known as BNF) began trading small-cap stocks from his bedroom with just $13,500. Eight years later, he had turned that modest stake into a staggering $153 million. This legendary feat serves as the anchor for a recent viral X post by veteran trader Ryan Scott (aka The Flow Horse). Ryan's post (linked below) argues a provocative truth: despite the cynics, it remains entirely possible to build a fortune in the markets. But if the opportunity is real, why do so few actually succeed? In this episode, we welcome back veteran trader Matt "Pax" Kenah to dissect this debate. We explore the deep psychological, mental, and behavioral hurdles all traders face, specifically focusing on the challenges of transitioning to a home-trading environment and the discipline required to become one of the elite few who truly thrive.Links: Ryan Scott (Horse) @TheFlowHorse - The Post: You Can Make a Fortune Trading - Don't Let Anyone Tell You OtherwiseFind out more about Matt and the PAX group at https://thepaxgroup.org/You can follow Matt on Twitter at https://twitter.com/paxtrader777AlphaMind: Powering Performance in Global MarketsAlphaMind brings powerful change, growth and development to people and businesses within global markets.
