The gang is continuing to make our way through Strange Brigade, a game we all seem to be enjoying more as time goes on. Denn nachdem wir ankündigten, jetzt zweiwöchentlich über Indie-, AA- und auch mal AAA-Titel zu sprechen, tun wir das auch - und nicht nur das. Christina und Sonja berichten über ihre Erlebnisse auf der Gamesweek vergangene Woche in Berlin, und unser Leckerlevels-Segment entpuppt sich als gemütlicher Kaffeeklatsch. Ach ja, über Spiele haben wir natürlich auch noch geredet. Florian fragt sich vorbei an widerborstigen Angestellten, hackt sich durch ein SciFi-Soulslike und scheitert an wunderhübschen Pixelbossen. Christina verliert sich in den Abgründen ländlicher Mystery, pixeliertem Horrors und klassischer Point'n'Click-Kost, während Sonja im winterkalten Russland und auf B-Movie-Sets auf dem schmalen Grat zwischen Melancholie und Absurdität balanciert. Razem ruszają w górę morderczej wieży potworów, by wyzwolić uciemiężone małpy i kosmitów. „The Deadly Tower of Monsters” jest pozycją nietuzinkową z kilku względów. Jest olbrzymim hołdem dla amerykańskiego kina science-fiction lat pięćdziesiątych i sześćdziesiątych, ale konceptu, w jakim twórcy zdecydowali się przedstawić historię, nie znajdziecie nigdzie indziej. Bo przygody, które przyjdzie nam przeżywać, są filmem, do którego właśnie reżyser dogrywa komentarz DVD. Dużo humoru, świetny klimat, masa nawiązań i kilka godzin bardzo dobrej zabawy. Poza tym Sick z Brzucha Wieloryba nagrywał to na mocnych lekach, co dość ciekawie komponuje się z tę niesamowitą podróżą.

Au programme cette semaine, on commence avec un jeu très VHS, The Deadly Tower of Monsters, ou on combat sur une planète lointaine des dinosaures, des robots et des chimpanzés mutants. On continue avec Level 22, le jeu d'infiltration de la vie de bureau. Mais le gros morceau de cette semaine, c'est quand même les pokémons qui se mettent sur la gueule dans Pokkén Tournament. Il y a peut-être quelque chose à sauver dans ce jeu de baston hybride, mais c'est pas gagné. On finit l'émission sur The Culling. On aurait aimé vous en dire plus sur cette adaptation du concept de Battle Royale, mais on est mort trop vite (et trop souvent). «The Deadly Tower of Monsters» ist eine gelungene Hommage an B-Movies der 50er- bis 70er-Jahre mit kultigen Drau-Hauf-Helden. Bereits im ersten Level prügelt und schiesst sich der Spieler durch ein Filmset mit Stop-Motion-Dinos, wilden Affen und einem Holzgerüst King-Kong - das macht Laune. Das rudimentäre Kampfsystem überfordert nicht und der spassige - Kommentator-(Off-Sprecher, der die Action und Hintergründe analysiert) sorgt besonders bei Film- und Comickenner dieser Trash-Ära für Lacher.
