Nick and Aaron are finally back to cover another Sega Genesis game. In this episode, they try to keep their heads attached as they cover Decap Attack! "Green Hills and Blue Blurs" performed by Daniel Tidwell: facebook.com/danieltidwellofficial
Last year, we explored the NES era's few horror games and ranked them on their general spookiness levels—given the standards of the time. And now we're back to do the exact same thing for a whole new generation of consoles! This week on Retronauts, join Bob Mackey, Kole Ross (of Duckfeed.tv), Diamond Feit, and Drew Mackie (of Gayest Episode Ever and Thrilling Tales of Old Video Games) as the crew unites to discuss a magical time when horror games could have evocative titles like "Decap Attack" and "Zombies Ate My Neighbors." Retronauts is a completely fan-funded operation. To support the show, and get two full-length exclusive episodes every month, as well as access to 50+ previous bonus episodes, please visit the official Retronauts Patreon at patreon.com/retronauts.
Grab yersels a crucifix, a shotgun and a game genie - it's time for a spooktacular. We've got it aw for ye here, from a discussion of the scariest video game villains to a return visit from the disembodied malevolent spirit of Sir Sean Connery. Mick demands justice for Bruce Campbell in "Evil Dead: Hail to the King", Andy discusses Mummy physiology in "Decap Attack", McCormick visits Mario's cowardly younger brother at his gaff wi a bag of cans in "Luigi's Mansion", and returning Clocherty sibling Helen dons the terror mask to take on 1988 arcade classic "Splatterhouse".

This is definitely our most Sega episode yet of Sega Mania Podcast - only took us five episodes to keep (mostly) on topic! Beginning this episode is a new segment: Games We Missed. Every episode, we'll be picking a game not reviewed in the magazine (up to 1994) to play and discuss on the pod. This episode, we randomly drew Alex THE Kidd in Miracle World for Master System. It's a game we'd all played before, and one that...well, it's not great. If you're a huge fan of the game, prepare your ears because it's getting roasted. We also return to ranking in this episode, and it's time to judge half the games covered in issue 2 of the mag (1991). Where do Sonic the Hedgehog, Castle of Illusion, Spider-Man vs The Kingpin, Dick Tracy, Quackshot and Decap Attack fit into our Sega Mania Official Rankings list? Will everyone fall out over Columns again? Lastly, there's a couple of cracking listener questions that let us reminisce about the glory of 90s gaming mags and why they inspired us to do all this nonsense. Enjoy, and don't forget to pre-order your copy of Sega Mania Magazine Issue 5 at www.sega-mania.com now!
We're back! We hope you didn't lose your head over our brief hiatus but if you did your in good company! This week we play the bizarre Genesis/Megadrive game Decap Attack!!

Retro Month Begins! Episode 73 finds us discussing a handful of Horror games that were available on the Sega Genesis, the 16-bit console favored by the cool kids who smoked cigs and watched R-rated movies. We are mostly talking Devilish, Decap Attack and Haunting Starring Polterguy but - as per usual - it goes all over the place.
