Our first guest for Season 4 Episode 1 of the GAA Minor Moments podcast with Electric Ireland is former Cork and Dublin Camogie player Sarah O'Donovan. Throughout the episode O'Donovan discusses her transition to punditry, highlighting how her playing experience informs her insightful commentary. Sarah recalls her selection for the 1999 Minor Cork squad as a major moment in her career and tells upcoming players to "just focus on the ball”. After a period in Australia, where she reflected on her Cork career, O'Donovan returned to Ireland and played Camogie for county rivals Dublin. Later in the episode, Sarah shares her appreciation for her family's support, her experiences with different managers, and the unique challenge of facing her home county Cork in Parnell Park wearing the blue of Dublin. Every Tuesday well known Irish stars will share memories from their early sporting careers and reflect on the defining moments from playing Minor and how that shaped them both on and off the pitch.
