Van Gogh trekt er overdag altijd op uit met zijn schilderspullen, maar hij is altijd heel stipt op tijd voor het eten, dus ze beginnen zich al snel zorgen te maken. Rond 21.00 uur gaat eindelijk de deur open en stort Vincent de herberg binnen, zwaargewond en zonder zijn ezel of andere spullen.  'wat heeft u gedaan?' vraagt meneer Gustave Ravoux bezorgd. 'Ik heb geprobeerd mijzelf te doden,' antwoordt vincent. Twee dagen later zal de schilder sterven. Zelfmoord is het oordeel van de dokter.  In 2001 beginnen twee Amerikaanse auteurs, Naifeh en White Smith, aan een diepgravend forensisch onderzoek naar de dood van Van Gogh. Zij komen alsmaar vreemde dingen tegen. Vincents  schilderspullen waren weg en werden nooit teruggevonden. Wie heeft die meegenomen? De kogel zat op een rare plek, een plek die erop zou duiden dat iemand anders het pistool vast hield. Hoe kwam Vincent eigenlijk aan een pistool, op het franse platteland in 1890, terwijl hij net uit een krankzinnigengesticht kwam? Was het misschien dan toch... Moord? For fem år siden spekulerede jeg oprigtigt på, hvordan det mon ville gå med håndtrykket. Ingen gav hånd. Nogle hyldede det. Andre var kede af det. Uanset hvad man mente om det, virkede det i nogle måneder som om, at håndtrykket kunne være fortid. Coronapandemien havde slettet noget af det mest almindelige, et simpelt håndtryk. På en måde uhyggeligt, at noget så simpelt og indgroet kunne forsvinde så let. Men det kunne det så heller ikke alligevel! Pist væk var bekymringerne. Håndtrykket var tilbage. Og ingen tænker over det. Var det spild af tid at tænke over det håndtryk? Kan vi gøre andet end at forhold os intenst til nutiden, selvom den kan vise sig at være komplet ligegyldig? Det er sommeren 2012. Danske Vincent Seremet skal lige om lidt kastes ud over den svenske sø Vätteren fra en flyvemaskine, i 800 meters højde. I en gummikapsel - han selv har tegnet. Og han er 82 år gammel! ”Hvordan mon jeg klarer det” tænker han selv. “Mon han overlever” tænker alle andre, der er involveret i projektet. Vincent Seremet var virkelighedens Georg Gearløs. Han konstruerede og byggede gennem 50 år mere end 40 flyvende objekter; det ene mere eventyrligt end det andet. Han byggede og fløj en autogyro, et motoriseret katapultsæde, et raketbælte og ikke mindst en ryghelikopter til James Bond filmen "You only live twice. En titel der passede godt på Vincent! Alt hvad han lavede, var farligt og han brækkede mere eller mindre alle sine knogler i kroppen. Könntet ihr mal in einer Folge näher auf die möglichen Strategien und vielleicht auch eure persönlichen Regelwerke dazu eingehen? Das fände ich sehr interessant. Vielen Dank für dieses tolle Format!“ Eine Strategiefolge hatten wir ohnehin in Planung und daher den Kommentar als konkreten Aufhänger für eine Episode genutzt.⁠ Gleichwohl haben wir bei der Aufnahme frühzeitig gemerkt, dass es sich um ein Thema mit hohem Erklärungsbedarf und dementsprechender Informationsdichte handelt. Aus dem Grund haben wir den Komplex in zwei Teile gesplittet. Im vorletzten Beitrag habe ich meinen persönlichen Ansatz erläutert, in der aktuellen Episode stellt mein Konterpart seine Strategie dar. Anyways... PAC-Man finds the one man that can ensure humanities survival; along with two other men who, like two guys at a strip club, came so close. Their mission is to go into the ruins of New York and retrieve the last fertile woman. With her, PUC - I mean - PAC-Man and the PAC military (we'll call them PAC-Boys) and leave Earth for Alpha Centuri (Cause, you got that type of technology and capabilities, but only ONE MAN can get the last fertile woman out of post apocalyptic NY), and humanity can survive.
