Send us Fan MailWelcome to Episode 256 of Painted Trash Podcast: Your LGBTQIA+ Podcast of Hilarity, F*ggotry, and Discourse! Despite his aversion to horror content, Mark was seated with Casey earlier this week to view the new horror film, Obsession, now playing in theatres. Following the showing of the new film, The Boys got to talking about obsessions and how those show up in people's lives including theirs! And what are The Boys obsessed with (or who)? What famous obsession the world may know and then Mark & Casey discuss what happens with things become physical. It's the type of discussion you'd expect with your GBFFs on a somewhat taboo subject. As you might have guessed -- the laughs ensue even when the humor goes more than "blue". First, in this week's Tea Party, Casey's got a mug full of piping hot tea on the sloppy performance by the host during the recent live broadcast of the finale of Survivor Season 50. After 25 years of hosting, you'd think Jeff would know you don't wanna break the mystique of the segments not yet aired. So why did he? Casey knows and he's giving you the tea! Then Mark is giving us the deets on a recent murder and attempted suicide in the gay and fetish community in Chicago. It's a shocking situation and if the tea's as piping hot as it seems, it's gonna make for a scalding hot docuseries! And hint: this story is a perfect lead in for the Midsection!Trash Talk topics this week cover Roseanne's threat to leave California, how is it possible Spencer Pratt may have a legitimate shot at becoming Mayor of Los Angeles, and closing things out-- apparently the $1.7 billion dollar slush fun isn't enough for Dump '47, now the Orange Thief in charge is trying to make sure he never has to pay taxes despite the hundreds of billions he made since getting back into the White House.Oh, and yes, there's recommendations too! This one chocked full with topical discussion, hot tea, hilarity, and even some discourse. So grab a full glass of your tasty port vintage of choice, check your diaper and getcha a fresh one, and pull up a seat at the table with your GBFFs to talk sh*t. This week during the Tea Party, Mark is giving us all the lowdown on his day at Hot Rodeo! After the most recent season of RuPaul's Drag Race had it's annual makeover episode, it was clear -- a day at the rodeo had to be planned -- well the gay rodeo! From the competitive events, to the trade, to the food, and to the after hours, you're gonna hear bout it. For his tea party, Casey's got some good news and some bad news. Luckily he started with the billion dollar ballroom and closed up with actual hate crime laws on the books in the UK.Moving directly intro Trash Talk, Mark kicks things off educationally, telling us a new troublesome side effect of straining while popping a squat. If you're a regular listener (even semi-regular) you know The Boys are music aficionados and live for a quality vocal -- regardless of genre. Often with very strong and unabashed opinion. So imagine the reaction when a popular blog/ publication put out their list of top vocals!!That's right! This week Mark & Casey are reviewing the latest released list of the top 100 vocalists of all time. To say it's problematic on some levels is to put it kindly, but there are some wonderful surprises too! So it's not all trash! But you'd best believe what is trash on the list is getting read. That's right -- to the library with 'em! Also, The Boys are giving you some insight as to who makes their tops on their "definitive" lists.Kicking things off though, at this week's Tea Party, Mark is telling you about alternative treatments at the chiropractor which don't involve intense cracking, offering better, deeper relief; and Casey is spilling the tea on Madonna's new marketing tactic aimed at gays and their platforms -- hint: it ain't the kind with heels. In Trash Talk this week The Boys are painting a planned campaign for a potential Oscar nominee; 86-45,,, these numbers got someone indicted as a terrorist threat (what trash!), and if you're planning to visit one of the most holy temples in India, be prepared... you'll need to prove you're a believer and you won't believe how.All this and a shared recommendation?? Well, you certainly don't wanna miss this one! So fill up a tall glass of port vintage, put on a fresh diaper, and pull up a seat to the table with your GBFFs as they discuss the happenings in the headlines and pop culture. Send us Fan MailWelcome to Episode 250! SCOTUS is supposedly part of the checks and balances built into the United States Government. Their history over the last several years has been marred by scandals, inappropriate commentary, as well as both lazy and shocking rulings. They have given POTUS unchecked power, created law and precedence based on fake cases, and now they are allowing a dangerous practice to resume throughout the United States --- conversion therapy.Truth be told, this one is not actually that much of a shock. The recent ruling on allowing conversion therapy was both horrifying but also intensely thoughtful it would seem. This week The Boys are discussing the practice of conversion therapy, implications of the ruling, and the one sole dissenter, who in a big move, read her 10 page dissent in open court --- and it was powerful! Not enough people are talking about this and the implications for conversion therapy being allowed again. But first, you're joining your GBFFs at the Tea Pahty this week as Mark is spilling the tea on how he got his dinner out for free and the war in Iran's summary of the Dump's messaging on how it's going and what's the plan moving forward. In Trash Talk this week, Judge Jeanine Pirro's dirty diaper is showing, a paper products factory is targeted for not paying a living wage, there's one less candidate in the Senate seat race in Minnesota, and a viewer shares the latest "themed event" which fell very short.Your GBFFs have missed you these last couple of weeks, but they are back an celebrating with you in this all new, slightly extended, all new episode of the type of quality content you've come to expect. Send us Fan MailWelcome to Episode 249! The Boys are off at a Birthday Party but before they headed out to celebrate someone's birthday, they got this one in the can for you. It's only the second visit to the "Trash Talk Tea Party! The inaugural visit was such a hit, The Boys had to dial it up again with the few minutes they had. That's right it's a condensed version for you this week full of tea and deets for you! Mark & Casey are mixing it up this week and spilling lots of tea and painting the trash from recent headlines while they are off celebrating a 40th. A 40th what?? Wouldn't you like to know?? Topics this week include -- what the hell is up with all the junk mail political flyers you're receiving?? Casey's got spilling some stats and The Boys have plenty of thoughts and questions on the subject. And the Department of Defense spent what on what????!! Recent revelations have hit the news cycle and it's horrifying to see how our hard earned dollars are being elaborately spent. And this is on top of the mind-blowing spending reported on DHS last month. Also -- with the war on Iran the US and Israel have aggressed, the global fallout is just beginning. An out of touch, and increasingly disliked movie actor finds himself on the wrong side of the conversation again... he just can't seem to stop rolling around in dog sh*t. This is just the latest moment showing off his ego and elitist personality. Closing out the Trash Tea Party, Mark has got the piping hot tea on a gubernatorial candidate banned from WaffleHouse. And of course, The Boys have a recommendation for you, despite the condensed format to get some nuggets in your stream this week. You're gonna love this one and want to make sure you're getting right on to it.This one's a fast paced, streaming hot one for you! Send a textWelcome to Episode 245 -- No Right To Vote! The United States Congress has passed the S.A.V.E Act -- otherwise referred to as the Protect Voting Act. The Boys have reviewed the details of the controversial bill and are bringing you what you need to know in this week's Midsection.Conceptually it may all make sense -- and the talking points by it's supporters will have you believe it's about protecting election integrity and being sure non-citizens (read illegals) (and the dissenters) do not vote. After looking into the bill, The Boys have found this bill is full of challenges to basic voting right among US citizens. What are those challenges? Who is affected by the proposed rules? Also what about the timing? You'll get what you need to know and what you can and need to do about this dangerous and illegal bill. Suffice it to say -- you gotta fight for your right (and the rights of everyone) to VOTE!!Kicking things off this week in The Tea Party, Casey and Mark are discussing some of the scoring at the Winter Olympics this year and the trash scoring that seems to happen season after season. In Trash Talk this week include the Scarecrow From Hell embarrasses herself not just with her terrible hair but her abhorrent behavior during a Congressional hearing; Jill Zarin is bac... wait -- just kidding, she's fired; and a new movie announces AI casting to bring a tubber back to the silver screen. All of this and recommendations too?? It’s Friday, February 6, 2026 — The Scott Jennings Show is LIVE on Salem with a packed Friday lineup: the latest in the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping, justice coming for the Benghazi mastermind, a readout on Iran talks in Oman, and a brutal spotlight on blue-state rot — from Karen Bass’ wildfire cover-up to Minneapolis’ anti-ICE networks. Plus: North Carolina politics from the Tar Heel State and a COMMON SENSE takedown of Olympic “inclusion” insanity. https://balanceofnature.com/ See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Start with a word we all hear too much: fascism. Now ask why, with the term everywhere, our understanding keeps getting worse. That's the puzzle we dig into as Sudip Bhattacharya joins C. Derick Varn to dissect how American punditry flattens history, confuses categories, and protects the status quo with buzzwords instead of analysis. From cable news panels that treat any state action as “authoritarian,” to former neocons who reinvent themselves as respectable anti‑Trump voices while dodging their own records, we map the machinery that makes bad takes inevitable. The conversation moves from media habits to concrete stakes: Israel‑Palestine as a settler colonial project, the perverse weaponization of antisemitism, and the bizarre spectacle of far‑right figures courting Israel while trafficking in bigotry. We examine how this fog invites real antisemitism to grow and erases anti‑Zionist Jewish voices. Then we turn local: the Cuomo vs. Mamdani showdown in New York, where Islamophobic tropes, AI smear ads, and institutional panic collided with a multiethnic, youth‑driven coalition that showed what organizing can do. The story isn't about a savior candidate; it's about constituencies learning to convert movement energy into votes and power.Along the way, we chart the collapse of elite “competence”—tech barons LARPing masculinity, markets priced on fantasy, and leaders who cannot restore a fading consensus. That might sound bleak, but it's also an opening. We talk windows of opportunity: shifting public opinion on Palestine, younger voters rejecting old scripts, and the practical tools needed to make fast‑moving crises count—unions, tenant groups, legal defense, and media with memory. Precision beats panic. Structure beats vibes. If punditry sells amnesia, we trade in context: how we got here, what the rails look like, and where to lay new track.Listen, share with someone who's tired of vibes without history, and leave a review with the sharpest question this episode raised for you. #963 | Dominic and Ed discuss United's sensational 2-0 victory over Manchester City. Led by Michael Carrick, United setup in a smart counter-attacking style. In a few short days Carrick has rejuvenated team morale - and that of the fans too. They'll be dancing in the streets of Salford, tonight! There are challenges ahead though, such as the upcoming game against Arsenal - and Carrick still has to overcome squad depth issues, particularly in midfield. That's for next week, though. This conversation inevitably leads to trashy events which took place during the break. In Trash Talk this week, Mark is leading the conversation this week where the topics range from a disgraced conspiracy theorist seeking the Governorship in Minnesota; what happened when a waitress received her "tip" from a 10-top; and an apparent real-life Quantum Leap.Hilarity. F@gg*try. and Discourse. This one's got all of it! And it's right here for your listening pleasure. So fill up your cup with some holiday nog or your favorite holiday port vintage, and pull up a seat to the table to join your GBFFs to paint the trash!=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-Let The Boys of Painted Trash know your thoughts on this week's topics and episode! Send us a textWelcome to Episode 239! The Boys met up at Studio AA before heading out for the Thanksgiving Holiday to give us a treat. It's a once a year type of The news has been moving rapid fire these days with headlines galore. Some just begging to be painted by your GBFFS. It's that time of year kids -- The Boys have been watching the news cycles and getting tea on some of the most prescient and important news stories and this is the impetus for the at least once a year episode, Super Trash. And when it's been better than super, that's mega. (and no, not MAGA... not on this podcast) This week is time for Another Mega Trash! That's right! The popular and oft listened to episodes find their way into listeners, callers, readers, viewers, even some of the writers favorites of each season. Kicking off this week's episode, Casey & Mark are discussing who is made what for their Thanksgiving feasts and how they prepared for their tastes. Then a quick convo between The Boys about getting in touch with Santie for the Christmas List fulfillment. Closing out the Weekly Trash Pick-Up, your GBFFs are discussing seeing movies you don't really want to and how to ruin the film for everyone when you don't like it.Trash Talk topics this week kick off with some new or further troubles for some of The Real Housewives. There's an update about Wendy and Eddie Osefo from RHO Potomac, who now find themselves in deeper legal trouble -- how so?? Well you'll have to listen to see just how. Then Dorit and Sutton of RHOBH are burgled at their homes as they take the stages of BravoCon in NYC and Mia Thornton from RHO Potomac finds herself in cuffs at the Atlanta airport. Next, Erika Jayne's finds herself in familiar territory when her new beau finds himself in scalding hot water. Also, have you heard of sologomy? Mark's educating on this new sort of relationship. Then, universally seen symbols of hatred are no longer seen as hate symbols by the US Coast Guard -- but there's no human rights under attack in the United States. Then -- this years hottest gift outta China is an AI/ ChatGPT teddy bear which now is under fire for horribly inappropriate statements they make. A woman is violently attacked after she paid someone over $500 to do just that -- attack her--- so she could claim political violence. Phew!Like we said -- it's an episode full of Super Trash! The Boys are bringing the hilarity and discourse this week. The topics are sprawling, the tea is piping hot, and the recommendations (oh, yes -- there's recommendations for you too!) are legit. This one's a super goodie. So pour yourself the port vintage you saved for yourself after the holiday, maybe even have ya a slice of pumpkin pie with it and have a seat at the table with your GBFFs who are bringing the hilarity, the discourse, all filled with f@gg*try! Get ready! It's time to paint!=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-Let The Boys of Painted Trash know your thoughts on this week's topics and episode! Send us a textWelcome to Episode 240! This week The Boys are enjoying some fun and relaxation in the sun and getting their Pride on, but they wanted to put some content in your stream to keep you informed, educated (because they are nothing if not...), and connected. It's shorter than normal episode, but the trash keeps coming.Kicking off this week, Casey & Mark are reflecting on wiggery and wig wearing while Casey relives the Halloween costumes and celebrations he was apart of during Spooky Season. The topic then turns to hot takes on the current season of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.Trash Talk topics this week include the upcoming Harry Potter television series and if anyone should pay it any mind being the creative behind the characters is a bigot; a disappointing scratch off, a shipping mishap with prescriptions, what the h*ell is a HogTok, and which actor is Casey oversaturated on.This week may be a quickie, but it's also a causerie. While it may be an abbreviated episode, this one's got healthy doses of hilarity, discourse, nor f*ggo*try. So pour a tasty glass of your favorite port vintage, a pull up a comfortable seat to join your GBFFs. Send us a textWelcome to Episode 239! We all love our stories. You know the ones -- playing out on tv series often called soap operas. There are not many of those left at this point on "regular" television. It seems real life has enough drama of it's own and reality TV has replaced All My Children, One Life To Live, Another World, and others. These were like Dynasty (pun intended) similar to the idea of a franchise. One franchise which seems to have carried on the torch of soap operas best are The Real Housewives.Be it New York, Miami, Potomac, Beverly Hills, Atlanta, Salt Lake City... the women and their lovers, friends, and husbands, spill tea, deliver smackdowns, or have an all out brawl. And sometimes those lives get a bit messy. This week Casey is sharing with you the stories of just some of the legal issues in The Housewives universe and The Boys discuss the similarities and the patterns among the women. It's reality television and it shows us how messy "friendships" and lives can get. Success and failure playing out on a very public stage. There's thoughts and tea. And The Boys have got 'em.Kicking off this week, The Boys are discussing men's hygiene and grooming practices and telling the tales from a recent dinner party in celebration of an engagement which sparks a discussion on the future of gay marriage.Trash Talk this week start with a tribute to actress Diane Ladd, government shutdown fall out, and the Grammy's are showing their ass! This week, the tea is pop culture and it's piping hot! So pour yourself a nice fall fashioned port vintage, put on a nice fresh diaper, and pull up a seat next to your GBFFs for a topical convo. It's time to paint!=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=Let The Boys of Painted Trash know your thoughts on this week's topics and episode! Send us a textWelcome to Episode 238! After a week off for yet another event, The Boys are sitting down and spilling the tea over all of the crazy goings on around them. They were trying out new spots to record this week's episode, but after trying a huge, cavernous, empty, and tacky rendering, they settled back into Studio AA for it's comfort and ease. This week, Casey & Mark are discussing the goings on surrounding the Big (i.e., overcompensating), Beautiful (i.e., gawdy), Ballroom (i.e., multi-use space) now underway on the grounds of Maralago DC...oops! I mean, The People's House...well,The White House. The project, already estimated to far exceed it's original budget, is being built on what we were being told, open grounds without touching the existing White House. Well we all know now what that was... The Boys are spilling the tea on the whole thing and sharing their thots on the matter.Kicking things off this week, The Boys are catching you up on the happenings while they have been off the last week from the Poddy which leads right into an informational and horrifying conversation about hair removal. Then in this week's Trash Talk, Mark is bringing to the floor Karoline Leavitt's mom, "grateful" Jelly Roll has a meltdown at a footwear store, and actual twins are warring on OnlyFans-- but what's it about? And oh, yes -- they've got recommendations too! This one's piping hot, y'all! So pour yourself a festive fall port vintage, put on a fresh diaper, and pull up a seat to join your GBFFs at the table for a chat and kiki! Send us a textWelcome to Episode 237! The Boys are back this week and the news is being shouted from the Tops -- Rooftop, Mountaintop, and even an Alpha Top! What kind of news you ask? What happened? How did it happen? Where did it happen? You'll want to listen to hear the beautiful, thoughtful, and singularly perfect event for their love! The deets are within and you'll only be hearing 'em here. Do the gays do it different from the straights? How does it go? All the details and lots of celebration ensues this week. But of course, The Boys are having to comment on the headlines going on around them. As residents of a Democratic (read Blue) City, they are both a part of the attack on Democracy and people of the Windy City. What is the real story and what is it like for the residents of Chicago right now? You'll wanna listen here to know. This is a biggie in a small package! It's a shorty, if you will. In this episode we detail the rise of detached "who's winning and who's losing" political analyses that reduces high stakes life and death issues to fodder for ESPN-style navel-gazing. With guest Jack Mirkinson.
Send us a textWelcome to Episode 235! For years and years we have been listening to people calling out silencing critics and First Amendment rights. Well rarely has it been called out from acts by the government of The United States Of America. But here we are. The head of the executive branch and his minions are trying it-- pressuring media to fall inline with what it is they approve of or else pay financial and legal consequences just because they don't like what is being said or shown.Censorship is alive and well in "the land of the free and the home of the brave," it would seem. This week The Boys are discussing the statement leading to the 2nd Late Night Host being suspended indefinitely because a corporation bowed to political pressure from the current Administration The chair of the FCC tried to intimidate and silence Jimmy Kimmel. The outrage was swift and intense -- as it should be-- but does it all mean and what should we be expecting moving forward? These Boys have thoughts.Kicking things off though, Casey & Mark are talking BB27 as the last weeks are upon us which leads to Casey sharing about his participation in local version of The Challenge. Then Mark is sharing about his latest observation and experience as a CTA trainer rider.Trash Talk topics include tea from a former Broadway cast member of a long running Broadway show which celebrated a milestone recently, a Fox New host advocates for murdering homeless people, and reviewing a study on kinks. Its one for the books this week. So getcha a full glass of a nice port vintage (maybe a spritzer this week?) and pull up a nice seat to the table to join your GBFFs for a catch up and chat. Send us a textWelcome to Episode 234! What a week, amiright?? The gun violence seems to be exploding across the United States with at least 4 known school shooting in the last week or so. And those are just the schools. There have been countless targeted gun shootings all over the country in the last week. One of which seems to be dominating the airways.Last week, far right conservative political activist and influencer, Charlie Kirk, was tragically gunned down and killed on a college campus at a stop on his "The American Comeback" tour in Utah. Specifics have been slowly shared out about the details surrounding suspect, motive, condition, etc. but the fallout has been more than dominating the airwaves. This is not the first act of political violence to take place in the last 6 months, but it seems to have struck a chord with so many. In this week's Mid-Section, Casey & Mark are discussing what we know so far of the murder, the major punditry points, and the legacy left by the proud white nationalist.Kicking things off this week, The Boys are discussing the latest aches, pains, trials and tribulations with the experience of aging as a gay man. It certainly is ridiculous to be discussing at their age! This on the heels of someone's birthday! Mark & Casey are giving you the rundown of a day on the town to celebrate, Casey!Trash Talk topics this week include a deep read on The House floor by Rep. Sarah Jacobs to the most bigoted members of Congress, a man takes matters into his own hands when someone forgets some party favors for the kickoff of NFL season, Bad Bunny flips the bird to ICE, and a man has been ticketed for needing a Slurpee....badly.And The Boys have got recommendations for you to! This one's got heft (and we ain't talking about their weight) with some levity of humor to balance. So pour yourself a balance bottle of port vintage and pull up a seat to the table in the library to join your GBFFs as they kiki about this last week. Send us a textWelcome to Episode 233! Being summoned to meetings is a daily event for so many folks. Thankfully most of our meetings are not televised worldwide. But most of us aren't making decisions that effect not just an entire country, but effects the whole world.Last week RFK Jr., the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) which includes the Center for Disease Control (CDC), was summoned to The Hill to testify under oath to a Senate sub-committee. And what a shi*show it was. The meeting was probably worse than anyone would have expected. His gravelly voice wasn't just nails on a chalkboard, it was static on a 1950's television when there was nothing on a channel. The sub-committee members lit the inept and unqualified Secretary up! From reports of chaos in the ranks for the CDC, to firings of those not supporting his views and demands, to his dangerous and conspiracy laden beliefs of vaccines... it was fireworks and the Senators laid bare for all to see their failure in confirming his nomination and many, many reasons we should all be petrified for the our health. While his voice was already a wreck, RFK Jrs leather face wasn't scorched off under all the heat! But first things first! This week is kicking off with The Boys taking a walk down memory lane through their experiences in middle and high school which leads to some tall tales of their teachers and experiences with peers. This week's Trash Talk topics include, the alien from Alien making an appearance on the actual Senate's floor (how did it get through security?), a judge who reads the wrong verdict in court, Tucker Carlson wants details on gay sex, and finding your high school bullies on "the apps".All this and recommendations too?? Phew! It's a jam packed episode so you're gonna wanna listen to the whole damn thing. This one's got hilarity ten times over, discourse in discussion, and your GBFFs are bringing all the f*ggotry! Send us a textWelcome to Episode 222! What a wreck! If you're anything like Casey & Mark, you watch headlines and delve in deeper if it interests you, but your intake of the news is cautious and limited. Well this last week has been full of things filling our headlines and news feeds with stories that were too wild to imagine and one specific trending topic caught The Boys attention and imagination -- Pardons? What a way to kick of Pride Month, amiright?Pardons. Yes -- the presidenture action which "forgives" and removes criminal convictions. Normally the headline of pardons come on at the end of a presidential term. That's not been the case for the first 5 months of TACO Trump's 2nd term. He started right out with the January 6th criminals who attacked the US Capitol and injured many, killing several. Now there's been more. The Boys are sitting down to discuss this latest round with some piping hot tea and then play a game of "who's next?".First though, Casey & Mark are kicking things off with some talk of the latest true crime streamers and a brief weekend in the country. Trash Talk topics this week include suspension finds a family who thought they'd try it, Mary Lou's had a rough week, and if your DJ career has lead to you dj'ing sex parties...And you betta believe, The Boys are giving you recommendations too. The clown show in Washington, DC continues, corruption abounds, and the trash is on full display! And you GBFFs are breaking it all down for you as only they can and will. So getcha a nice port vintage, fill up a glass or a cup, and pull up a seat to the bar next to your GBFFs.
