Dan Nathan and Guy Adami dive into the implications of the latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) data, which came in softer than expected. They discuss how the Federal Reserve's preferred inflation metrics, tariffs, and the looming trade war with China affect market sentiment. The conversation touches on the recent fluctuations in the stock market, particularly the performance of tech stocks like Nvidia ahead of their user conference, the impact of the trade war on inflation, and the potential for a slowdown in the job market. The discussion also highlights the recent performance of banking stocks, consumer spending trends, and the importance of bipartisan support for economic reforms. The episode explores the forecasting challenges faced by market strategists and the potential for significant market moves in the near future. — FOLLOW US YouTube: @RiskReversalMedia Instagram: @riskreversalmedia Twitter: @RiskReversal LinkedIn: RiskReversal Media

With the start of Rugby's Six Nations Championship this weekend, that's where we kick off this week's episode. France were led by the imperious Antoine Dupont in their win over Wales, Scotland and Italy offered an intriguing tussle which was closer than the final scoreline might show, whilst England were probably flattered by a 5 point loss in Dublin. After their winter Break, Netball's stars are back in action as England host a quad series with South Africa, Malawi and Uganda. Following a convincing win over Malawi the Red Roses were then just edged out by South Africa. They face the final group game against Uganda on Saturday, before the medal placing round on Sunday in London. Australia completed their humiliation of England in the Women's Ashes Cricket - a resounding innings defeat condemning the tourists to a 16-0 whitewash defeat. England's male counterparts also slid to their worst ever T20 defeat, being all out for just 97 and losing by 150 runs. We also have a Super Bowl preview, the latest in our “Rugby League Challenge Cup road to Wembley” status, and updates from the worlds of Tennis, Golf and Winter Sports. Finally Tony fires a broadside, this time at the TV companies trying to drum up excitement about the dead parrot non-event that transfer deadline day has become.
And wanna buy a pretzel shaped like the Statue of Liberty? It may be all we have left of liberty in this country!
On this week's Education Gadfly Show podcast, Rick Hess, the director of education policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute, joins Mike and David to discuss education reform (or the lack thereof) during former President Biden's term and what we might expect from President Trump. Many of us in the USA have folks we know, even some we have loved and cared about deeply have been lost to the cult. But how do we talk to them? Is it even possible? Can we have any relationship at all with them? This one's a serious topic for a Mid-Section but it's done Painted Trash style, of course! Casey & Mark feel this one is important as relationships are important and in some cases there's hope; and in some there is not -- so what then? The Boys have some great advice and guidance on how to have a tough conversation without it shutting down or losing your cool (or your sanity). Of course the discussion delves deep and busts a couple of ... guts... with humor of course! What did you think would bustin'??? Trash Talk this week kicks off with The Dentures showing exactly how many "f****" he has left to give. Then it's on to a man in the UK who has made an interesting choice for his life at home and an entertainment problem on a recent flight.Kicking off this week, Casey is sharing about the rollercoaster experience of a recent watch from a prolific producer, Mark makes difficult casting choices for a film concept, and The Boys break out in song! This one's giving you all the feels and all 'da tall (tea)! So grab some of the fall-flavored port vintage and grab a comfy chair and pull it over to the fire pit to join your GBFFs because, It's Time To Paint!=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-Let The Boys of Painted Trash know your thoughts on this week's topics and episode! Send us a textWelcome to Episode 204! Fall Movie Season is upon us and Oscar season is fast approaching. Before The Boys delve into all of that (and to take a break from the punditry for a week), Casey & Mark are reflecting on poor casting choices made in film. It's been a topic on the boards on and off -- more on recently, it seems --- and Painted Trash Podcast has thots. This week, The Boys have created a short list of actors in roles they are perhaps not best suited for. Sometimes the actor is just not believable, sometimes the actor is just bad in the role; sometimes the movie is still good and sometimes the movie is garbage. Casey & Mark are taking you through their list of 5 actors in roles The Boys are not applauding. (Perhaps they are throwing food at the screen?)Kicking things off this week, Casey is storytelling about his trip in to Studio AA this week and Mark is taking out the post VP debate trash.Trash Talk topics this week include Melania's late with her messaging --- again; an election official gets read in open court before sentencing; all the tea on the Dump watches -- and it's low (even for Dump); and a follow up on last week's outing of a gay porn actor turned Anti-LGBTQ+ activist. All this and recommendations too?! You'd best believe it's a jam-packed episode of quality from The Boys and Painted Trash Podcast. So get 'cha a full glass of your early fall port vintage, bring your colors, pull up a chair, and join your GBFFs for an all new episode. Send us a textWelcome to Episode 203! Well the focus this last week has been on the 2024 US Vice Presidential Candidates; not just the top of the "ticket". News continues to pour in and we got our first glimpse as an "October surprise" by way of the first leaked information from the recent Iran data breach -- a dossier of the JD Vance "Dump File".Entering the docket just days before the Vice Presidential debate, a dossier containing much of the operatives research (i.e., dump files) on the Republican Vice Presidential Candidate, JD Vance. If you haven't heard about the data breach of the Dump Campaign's emails, this is the first leak of some files Iran took and has now released to the larger public. There are many disparaging thoughts and statements of his running mate, Donald Dump, spoken between 2016 and as late as 2023. While many Republicans were laying down for The Dump, Vance was a vocal opponent and was out in these streets talking to any old outlet who would have 'em. All the tea dropped just days before his biggest debate so far in his "political career". What was in the dossier? Well The Boys are breaking it down for you and sharing their thoughts on 'em.First up kicking things off with the Weekly Pick-Up, The Boys are getting caught up on reality TV trash including Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City. This is after trying to figure out what happens to rotted teeth.InTrash Talk this week, Mark is giving us a man puts out a hit on his wife and six children -- but he hired the wrong guy: Casey's spilling an anti-LGBTQ activist with a gay porn actor past: then it's a foul Bridgerton themed Ball and LizaMinelliOutlives tea.Of course, The Boys are giving you recommendations -- Mark with a limited series and Casey a new film. It's an all new tea sipping episode of your favorite LGBTQ+ poddie with your GBFFs. So grab your colors, fill a glass with your favorite fall port vintage, and pull up a seat at the table with your gay besties. The first Presidential debate happened last week and there is a lot to be discussed. So that's what The Boys are set to do this week. This week saw National Voter Registration Day an important day on the calendar and on the topic of the debate-- It happened yes. The Boys are sitting down to review their thoughts on the debate topics, messaging, and subsequent news stories since the debate finished up. Policy and facts coming from one side; lies and hate from the other. There certainly was a winner. There certainly was a loser. One of those gets painted. Bet you can guess which!Trash Talk topics this week include a Hot Ones Versus episode where a "star" must decide apologize or stand behind their attack on Madonna's movie career, Laura Loomer Twitter attacks, and a new reason to be careful how you treat your family. About a week ago, the assumed Democratic Nominee for President named her vice presidential running mate. After weeks of speculation, questioning, and comparing Tim Walz has been named the choice. The initial pool of candidates seemed vast with some the heavy hitters of the Democratic Party being named as potential selections. It was whittled down to 10, then 5, and now we know who will be making up the Democratic ticket on the ballot for the biggest office in the land! The Boys are going to delve in to who Walz is, his record, his LGBTQIA+ record, his tactics, and approach. Casey & Mark are breaking it down and out for you as the DNC is starting up.Kicking of the week in the Pick-Up, The Boys are trading war stories on berry memories and a trash stripper and reviewing the Paris Olympics. Would you take G's palmares, or Remco Evenepoel's? It's become a tricky question after everyone's favourite little bastard did the Olympic double last week. What a fella. Luke put that to G on the pod as the boys dug into all the action from the Olympics - and there's a lot to catch up on. We're also entering full on planning mode for our live show at the Lowry Theatre in Salford on November 8th - and to make Producer George's life a bit easier, he asked the listeners for their suggestions and got the boys to rank them. It seems to be coming from up down, all around; to... and fro. Don't worry though, Casey & Mark gotcha covered. This week The Boys are hitting the punditry in the mid-section this week kicking it off with discussing the historical shooting that took place in Pennsylvania which goes straight into the RNC (pun intended!) and then Casey has a bold prediction. In Trash Talk this week The Boys are discussing another TV evangelist find him self face down, ass up on film, librarians being fined for checking out books tagged as LGBTQ+, and Grindr crashed in Milwaukee -- bet you're wondering why and what the reaction was. Welcome to Episode 194! Y'all-- it's been a minute. When Painted Trash Podcast launched it was the 2020 Presidential election cycle and the deeper into the cycle it got, the more The Boys leaned into their brand of punditry. Well the 2024 Presidenture election cycle has been a bit different with the expected rematch of 2020 between The Dump and The Dentures. This week, The Boys are kicking off their coverage of the 2024 US Presidenture election cycle despite it having started in 2022. As you are undoubtably aware, this election cycle is a wreck. The Dump has been convicted of 34 felonies already with other cases pending, SCOTUS is showing their crooked ass, news media continues to applaude and uplift sensational journalism over factual, thoughtful coverage, and the first debate full of lies, stumbling, and trash has created much fallout. What does it all mean? Casey & Mark are breaking it all down for you and bring out a call to action.Kicking things off this week Mark & Casey are discussing the jump across the pond with Sunset Boulevard starring talent, Nicole Scherzinger and discussing times on a lazy river and a painting party. With the weight of the Midsection this week, The Boys are keeping it short in Trash Talk with only one story this week of what happened to a man who sneezed inside out. It's an important time and you can count on your GBFFs to keep you informed with tea and topics to help you navigate the US Presidential election now entering it's own midsection. You'll want to get comfortable with a tall and full glass of your favorite summer port vintage. Grab your paints and pull up a seat at the table to join your GBFFs for this week's episode. Everybody has challenges in life and sometimes they are big and sometimes they are small but as we age, those annoyances are just part of life and those are referred to as "adulting". Does anyone really enjoy "adulting" all the time? This week The Boys are sitting down reflecting on "adulting" in their lives. Being a grown up and discussing responsibilities and experiences we all share throughout life. Sometimes the experiences of adulting suck and sometimes, when met with some humor, they can be a bit easier and more fun. That's what Mark & Casey think anyway. Sure enough though, these are experiences and responsibilities we all share so you'll probably relate to your GBFFs on this one.To kick things off, Mark & Casey are answering each others questions about keeping track of conquests, Pride weekend outings, and, because Painted Trash Podcast is educational, a writer had to set The Boys right on the idea of using poo for a certain activity. This week's Trash Talk features some news from this week's headlines including the latest actions from "The Dentures" (Ja Biden) for the LGBTQ+ community, a hotel lobby rant caught on a hot mic, a real estate deal if you got the patience, and much more!So you'll want a big glass filled with your favorite summer time, refreshing port vintage, your colorful paints, and pull up a seat to the table to join your GBFFs this week. Welcome back to THE DISCOURSE, a podcast about film, entertainment & culture. In this episode, Carl and Tony ponder the state of the cinematic box office in relation to prequels, especially after the failure of Furiosa: A Mad Max Story. Does it factor into wider trends about where the cinema experience is going wrong? Plus! With the BBC deciding to hire controversial tennis star Nick Kyrgios as a pundit, they wonder whether being an unpalatable figure is a blessing or a curse for broadcasters these days. And finally, 90s-era lads mag Loaded is being reborn for a new, middle-aged man audience. Do Carl and Tony fit the demographic? And if so, will they buy a copy? Is America a republic or a democracy? Jonah has forced many recent Remnant guests to answer this question, but only Jay Cost—a historian and senior fellow at AEI—has written a whole book on the subject. It's called (creatively enough) Democracy or Republic? The People and the Constitution, and Jay joins the show today to flesh out its thesis. In an era of declining civic virtue and institutional trust, are the tools of government that the Founders developed strong enough to deal with today's challenges? What are the pros and cons of the democratic process? And how can we help restore an understanding of the Constitution among America's youth? Show Notes: - Jay's page at AEI - Jay's new book, Democracy or Republic?
