Anthony enjoyed beating the Spurs as much as he's always going to, but couldn't help but note how poor the refereeing was in a game that could have been so much more fun. He talks about that as well as a couple other topics the live audience brought to his attention. On this episode of Generation Red: A Husker Podcast, the boys look back on the hard-fought win over Northwestern, which featured a spectacular kickoff return for a TD by Kenneth Williams that ended up being the difference in the game. Emmett Johnson was the workhorse on offense, and per usual, the referees missed calls, and made weird calls, which enabled the Wildcats to erase a two-score deficit in the 3rd quarter. After a fantastic drive engineered by Dylan Raiola, the Big Red scored the go ahead touchdown with 2:44 to play. Northwestern had a chance to convert on 4th down deep in Husker territory, and for one, the good guys didn't draw the short straw on the final defensive play, and went on to become bowl eligible in October for the first time since 2016. Join Coach, Justin, Scott and Ken as they recap the game, and then turn their attention to the big time night contest coming up next week in Memorial Stadium against the 23rd-ranked USC Trojans. #Nebraska #Huskers #Football #Northwestern #USC Want to grab some GenRed Merch? It's time once again to talk Husker football, both a review of last weekend's victory against Northwestern and a preview of the upcoming blackout clash against Southern Cal. And the referees. Some folks will always try to shame you into just accepting and overcoming shoddy zebra quality in the Big 10, but after a decade or more of this, it's pretty obvious it's not coincidence. But we'll chat about it. So pop on in and let's talk about that, the games, Teddy's injury, Maiava vs. the Husker secondary, and anything else you want to bring up in the comments. Send us a textGiants vs Eagles Postgame Reaction — Week 8 Meltdown in PhillyThe New York Giants fell 38-20 to the Philadelphia Eagles in a brutal Week 8 matchup where everything that could go wrong… did. Between a disastrous defensive showing against the run, a missed fumble call on Jalen Hurts' infamous “tush push,” and a key injury to Cam Skattebo, this one left Giants fans fuming. It wasn't just the scoreboard — it was the officiating, the sloppy tackling, and the frustrating déjà vu of watching the Giants defense get gashed again and again. The Eagles controlled the trenches from the opening drive, while Big Blue struggled to stop Saquon Barkley and the Philly rushing attack. To make matters worse, Cam Skattebo left the game with an apparent ankle injury in the second quarter, leaving the Giants backfield thin and the offense one-dimensional. Meanwhile, Jaxson Dart fought hard but couldn't overcome the poor protection and questionable play calling. The moment everyone's talking about? Jalen Hurts clearly fumbled during a goal-line “tush push,” scooped up by the Giants defense — only for the officials to blow the play dead. The call took away a potential turning point in the game, and fans are rightfully furious.
Shaun Morash and Bryce Gelman recap one of the most egregious losses in recent Giants history. They discuss the monstrosity of a job by the officials, the deflating Cam Skattebo injury, the overall defensive woes, and more in this full show.

We can't root for the Dodgers and we also can't root for Canada. What's a man supposed to do!?34:27 - The Avalanche have 2 fantastic goalies right now. Wedgie is playing like a man possessed. When Blackwood is healthy, will he get the starting job back? Or should the Avs ride the hot hand and stick with Wedgie?

0:00 - Brett has an interesting take on the Avalanche PP and the Nuggets bench, and how they're in similar situations. After that, the "Chiefs benefit from favorable calls" narrative just won't go away. The latest controversy was Detriot's trick play TD on Sunday Night Football that the refs took off the board. Dan Campbell addressed on his radio show this week and added some more fuel to the fire.18:15 - (Producer's note: again, I'm sorry you can't hear the music coming back from break. I edited together another silly piece that used copyrighted music. Instead, enjoy our awkward laughter acapella.)The Rockies have begun the search for a new GM and word on the street is they're actually looking externally! Outside their organization! For someone with a new perspective! Say it ain't so!After that, we often get too emotional about sports. Or do we? How emotional is "too" emotional?33:46 - A KHL referee has been banned for life over a blown call. Sheesh...can you imagine if we did that here in the states? Also, the Celtics coaching staff played against Celtics media members in a scrimmage, and the coaches OBLITERATED the media. Feels like Joe Mazzulla had a message he wanted to send...

Packers fans, buckle up for a raw, unfiltered dive into that gritty 27-18 win over the Bengals—feels like a blowout on paper, but damn, it was closer than it should've been. Host Ryan unleashes on social media whiners, celebrates Jordan Love's laser throws and Golden's breakout catches, while callers vent about stalled drives and refs ignoring blatant holds on Parsons. It's the kind of edgy post-game therapy session that reminds you why we love (and hate) this team. Callers break down halftime dominance turning into second-half nail-biters, with defense bending but not breaking against Flacco's annoyingly perfect passes. Golden emerges as a stud receiver, Jacobs finally rumbles, and the new kicker nails it under pressure—plus rants on situational brain farts like Love's slide. Refs get roasted for missing egregious holds; social media doomers called out for ignoring the double-digit W. Positive vibes on special teams improvements and excitement for upcoming "winnable" games like the Cardinals. This episode is brought to you by PrizePicks! Last night's game? Favoritism much Refs? Treating people with dignity Prosperity Gospel The SWAT app is no longer being updated ------------------ Mark 14:3-21 (ESV) Jesus Anointed at Bethany 3 And while he was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he was reclining at table, a woman came with an alabaster flask of ointment of pure nard, very costly, and she broke the flask and poured it over his head. 4 There were some who said to themselves indignantly, “Why was the ointment wasted like that? 5 For this ointment could have been sold for more than three hundred denarii and given to the poor.” And they scolded her. 6 But Jesus said, “Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 7 For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you want, you can do good for them. But you will not always have me. 8 She has done what she could; she has anointed my body beforehand for burial. 9 And truly, I say to you, wherever the gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will be told in memory of her.” Judas to Betray Jesus 10 Then Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve, went to the chief priests in order to betray him to them. 11 And when they heard it, they were glad and promised to give him money. And he sought an opportunity to betray him. The Passover with the Disciples 12 And on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they sacrificed the Passover lamb, his disciples said to him, “Where will you have us go and prepare for you to eat the Passover?” 13 And he sent two of his disciples and said to them, “Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him, 14 and wherever he enters, say to the master of the house, The Teacher says, Where is my guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?' 15 And he will show you a large upper room furnished and ready; there prepare for us.” 16 And the disciples set out and went to the city and found it just as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover. 17 And when it was evening, he came with the twelve. 18 And as they were reclining at table and eating, Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me, one who is eating with me.” 19 They began to be sorrowful and to say to him one after another, “Is it I?” 20 He said to them, “It is one of the twelve, one who is dipping bread into the dish with me. 21 For the Son of Man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.” __________________ 5 Core Values of SWAT 1. God's Word 2. Prayer 3. Evangelism 4. Discipleship 5. Aidan from Birds vs Boys reacts to the Philadelphia Eagles' first loss of the season vs the Denver Broncos. Crazy part? This is the most confident I've felt in the offense all year. We saw pre-snap motion, REAL play-action, timely RPOs, quicker rhythm, and big shots to DeVonta and AJ… and yet—boom—brutal, momentum-killing penalties and head-scratching officiating swing the fourth quarter. In this video:Why the offensive approach is finally repeatableSpecific sequences that should carry into the short week vs the GiantsDefense: strong for three quarters, then two late TDs—what really happenedThe officiating sequences that altered drives (and why I still hate blaming refs)What Philly should not abandon on Thursday Night FootballIf you're new here, hit Subscribe and drop your take: Did the officials ruin this for the Eagles or did the passing game still need to improve even more?
Merrill Reese joins the show for his weekly talk with Joe and Hugh after an Eagles game. Merrill while not blaming the refs, does think they missed some crucial calls that ended up costing the game for the Eagles. That and everything Merrill saw while on the call yesterday!
