Fr. Joseph Dalimata, FSSP serves as Parochial Vicar at Immaculate Conception Church in El Paso, Texas. He was ordained in May of 2021. In Today's Show What would happen if the Pope aligned the Holy Week/Easter with the Orthodox Church? I knew someone who was in an immoral relationship, and I tried to warn them about sin. But I worry that I may have judged them. We booked a cruise but will be on-board all-day Sunday, what can we do about our Sunday obligation? Why do Protestants donate more to charity and to their church compared to Catholics? Been dating a girl for 4 years but we now have differing opinions on what to teach our children in regard to birth control. What should a Knight of Columbus funeral look like and how does the Church decide where to bury a parishioner if they have multiple burial sites? Do you have any book recommendations for the laity about/related to the priesthood?* Is Holy Water required for a priest to bless sacramentals? I've noticed that people use the phrase, “God reward you” when thankful for something you've done. It makes it seem like I was looking for repayment for my good deeds instead of doing them out of charity. I was baptized Catholic and then "baptized" by the Jehovah Witnesses, does the second baptism not count? Is it a problem to have a melted down crucifix as a wedding band? Did you begin to have any doubts while you were entering the priesthood? Can a person be possessed against their will without knowing and without dabbling in the occult? If so, how can they find out? An episode from Bible Believers Baptist Church (BBBC), a conservative, independent body of King James Bible believers located in Corpus Christi, Texas. Bible Believers Baptist Church's statement of Faith: A Bible Baptist is one who believes in a supernatural Bible, which tells of a supernatural Christ, Who had a supernatural birth, Who spoke supernatural words, Who performed supernatural miracles, Who lived a supernatural life, Who died a supernatural death, Who rose in supernatural splendor, and Who will one day return in supernatural glory to establish a supernatural kingdom on earth. What BBBC believes about Creation: “We believe in the Genesis account of creation, and that it is to be accepted literally, and not allegorically or figuratively; that man was created directly in God's own image and after His own likeness; that man's creation was not a matter of evolution or evolutionary change of species or development through interminable periods of time from lower to higher forms; and that all animal and vegetable life was made directly and God's established law was that they should bring forth only “after their kind.” What BBBC believes about Salvation: “We believe in God's electing grace; that the blessings of salvation are made free to all by the gospel; that it is the immediate duty of all to accept them by a cordial, penitent and an obedient faith; and nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinner on earth but his own inherent depravity and voluntary rejection of the gospel; which rejection involves him in an aggravated condemnation. We believe in salvation by grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on Calvary plus nothing. Therefore, we do not believe that works are necessary for salvation, although once a person is saved, he should be careful to maintain good works.” What BBBC believes about Repentance and Faith: “We believe that Repentance and Faith are solemn obligations, and also inseparable graces, wrought in our souls by the quickening Spirit of God, thereby; being deeply convicted of our guilt, danger, helplessness, and of the way of salvation by Christ, we turn to God with unfeigned contrition, confession, and supplication for mercy; at the same time heartily receiving the Lord Jesus Christ and openly confessing Him as our only and all-sufficient Savior.” A message from BBBC to you: “If you are looking for a church in the Corpus Christi Texas area that preaches the Truth from God's Word, reach out to us at any time. St. Paul reveals that we are like earthen vessels, containing the treasure of Jesus Christ who sustains us in spite of our weakness and fragility. (Lectionary #605) July 25, 2024 - Cathedral Rectory - Superior, WI Fr. Andrew Ricci - www.studyprayserve.com
This morning we divide our time into two parts: First, Family Pastor Sarah Fetz shares some significant updates to our model for Family Ministry at The Parish. Then, Jordan shares a brief reflection on 2 Corinthians 4, asking what it means that God's all-surpassing power (the Holy Spirit) dwells inside fragile, frail jars like us.
by Reagan McClenny
Part two of the series “For THIS Cause”. The Bible tells us that we have a treasure in our earthly vessels! When we seek the glory of God, his glory will quicken our mortal bodies.

I love what Paul says in 2 Corinthians 4:7: “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.” Yes... we may be some clay pots but we are full of the treasure of God. Let's share that treasure with others today.

On this feast of St. James, the Apostle, we discover that we hold the treasure of our Christian faith in the "earthen vessel" of our human limitations. As we acknowledge our sins and embrace God's grace, we offer our lives as a worthy sacrifice that draws us closer to the Lord and one another. July 25, 2023 - Cathedral of Christ the King - Superior, WI Fr. Andrew Ricci - www.studyprayserve.com

In this special podcast, I am joined by special guest, Larry Ragland who is the senior pastor of Solid Rock Church in Birmingham, Alabama as well as the founder of the "Big Picture" podcast and author of the new book "I see greatness on the inside of you". In this segment, we discuss how God uses our tragedies and setbacks and uses them for the greater purpose of his Kingdom!
Life is short. Act accordingly. In today's study, we consider Paul's words to the Corinthians, in which he referred to our mortal bodies as "earthen vessels." In other words, Paul likened our human bodies to pottery - easily broken, and not built to last. Now, is that a depressing thought? Well, it would be, except that Paul said that these "earthen vessels" house an eternal treasure, which can never be lost or destroyed. Join us as we consider this treasure further, in today's study of 2 Corinthians 4. Questions That We'll Answer: 1) What is the difference between what's 'eternal' and 'temporal?' 2) What does it mean to be a good 'spiritual' investor? 3) What did Christ say about laying up treasures in Heaven? Speaker: Rev. Dr. Toby B. Holt Church Website: www.fpcgulfport.org
