The Ask A Priest Live podcast, hosted by Jordan Pacheco, is an absolute gem in the world of Catholic podcasts. It offers a unique and invaluable opportunity to engage with orthodox priests who are deeply knowledgeable about the Catholic faith. This podcast has been instrumental in restoring and strengthening my faith in the Church since I discovered it.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is the ability to ask any and all questions related to Catholicism. The priests brought onto the show are not only well-educated in their faith but also capable of providing clear, concise, and accurate answers. They do not shy away from difficult questions or offer watered-down responses often found in other parishes. Instead, they provide answers firmly rooted in the fullness of truth. The depth of knowledge displayed by these priests is truly impressive and allows listeners to gain a deeper understanding of various aspects of their faith.

Furthermore, this podcast is well-organized and structured. Jordan Pacheco does an excellent job as a host, ensuring that each episode flows smoothly and efficiently. The episodes are easy to follow and listen to, making it accessible for both Catholics seeking guidance and those simply interested in learning more about the faith.

While it is challenging to identify any significant drawbacks, one minor criticism would be that some episodes may lack diversity in terms of topics covered. While there is certainly a wealth of information provided on Catholic doctrine and practice, it would be interesting to see a wider range of discussions including current events within the Church or even personal testimonies from priests or laypeople.

In conclusion, The Ask A Priest Live podcast is an incredible gift to the Catholic Church. It provides access to traditional priests who are faithfully committed to teaching the truths of Catholicism without compromise. The knowledge shared on this podcast has been invaluable in deepening my own understanding and relationship with God. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone seeking guidance or desiring a greater understanding of their Catholic faith.

If cell phones are an occasion of sin, can a priest not absolve the penitent for owning a cell phone? How do I approach God after falling into mortal sin and feeling shame? In the Our Father, it says to “forgive those who trespass against us.” But what if the person that trespassed against us is not sorry or asking to be forgiven? In traditional theology, how active are angels and demons in the life of a practicing Catholic? Is spiritual attack something ordinary Catholics should be on guard against? Would it be possible to implement "digital sacraments" if the Pope allowed it? Is there any truth to the phrase that the road to hell is paved with good intentions? What's the theological significance of the Offertory prayers in the Traditional Latin Mass, especially the Suscipe, Sancte Pater and the Oblationem prayer? In Today's Show: When would the quality of penance be excessive or lax? What would be useful advice for knowing what penance(s) are apt for someone? What is your take on Catholic AI as a ministerial tool? Should we start a modern crusade by converting AI to Catholicism so that it will then be compelled to convert the whole world? What does this say about the training and prayer lives of most priests if AI does a better job at answering questions about the spiritual life? Our Lady of Fatima told the children that souls would go to Hell for sins of the flesh. Can you please elaborate on that? I'm looking for a recommendation for a good book on the Holy Spirit. Can you help? Why can't any Pope successfully consecrate Russia the way Our Lady requested? If someone is murdered on holy ground and is not a practicing Catholic but overall a good person, do they receive a special grace sparing them from eternal damnation? There seems to be tension between the ascetic demands of traditional Catholicism and the emphasis on emotional well-being in modern psychology. How can we avoid both stoicism and self-indulgence, and where do spiritual direction and therapy intersect responsibly? Do I really have to deny myself of everything in the world just to follow God? I've been reading the works of St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross. Is it still possible, or even appropriate, for laypeople to aspire to the mystical path in a world so noisy, fast, and disordered? How can we safeguard against deception in this pursuit? I'm a newer convert and I really want to read the Bible more, but it's a bit overwhelming. Where should a Catholic beginner start, and are there any books I should avoid reading out of context? In Today's Show: Many of my traditional Catholic friends are exploring Eastern Orthodoxy because they feel it has preserved liturgy and doctrine more faithfully than the post-Vatican II Church. How should we respond to these claims, especially when Orthodoxy seems to outwardly resemble pre-conciliar Catholicism more than modern Rome? Is it okay to listen to YouTube talks given by Eastern Orthodox priests? In the Confiteor, it talks about sinning in one's thoughts. Is it truly possible to sin simply in your thoughts? When does anger/raising voice at a family member become a mortal sin? Does it matter if they have dementia or another illness that affects mental processes? I've been invited to a Kingdom Hall service, as well as a meeting of the Freemasons (as a guest). Is it safe to say I should decline those invitations? Is there a greater efficiency in having an individual Mass for a person vs a family Mass for all the members of the family? If partaking in the body and blood of Christ is essential to eternal life according to scripture, why do faithful Christians struggle to understand the belief of feeling worthy of it? As an altar server, I can't touch the ciborium without gloves on. How can laymen be authorized to touch the Eucharist with their bare hands as parishioners or Eucharistic ministers? I've seen some exorcists claim that tattoos are a portal to demons (although I don't believe it is backed by the Church). I have a few tattoos and plan to get more (all related to my religion and heritage), so I'm just wondering your stance and the official teaching on if it's really a “portal”? What does it mean that some will have greater happiness than others in heaven because some will see God more clearly, as stated in the "Catechism for Adults"? Recovering scattered ashes of a cremated family member for proper burial Can we offer Holy Communion for the conversion and salvation of a friend? There are no traditional Latin Masses in my diocese anymore. Without going into too much detail, the only nearby parish uses inclusive language, lay preaching, and abuses the liturgy regularly. Am I still obligated to attend Mass there on Sundays, or would it be spiritually harmful (even potentially scandalous) to do so? How many prayers are required to free someone from purgatory? Also, does sprinkling holy water on the ground release them according to popular belief? So, tomorrow it's legally permissible to eat meat, but is some penance still required? When we pray the rosary and dedicate a mystery to someone, how are we to focus our intention; solely on the mystery? Are we straying if we focus too much on the person we are praying for? Might Father have recommendations or advice on how to study, particularly the writings of St. Thomas and things regarding the faith and philosophy? What's your view on proper dress at Mass?
