The Ask A Priest Live podcast, hosted by Jordan Pacheco, is an absolute gem in the world of Catholic podcasts. It offers a unique and invaluable opportunity to engage with orthodox priests who are deeply knowledgeable about the Catholic faith. This podcast has been instrumental in restoring and strengthening my faith in the Church since I discovered it.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is the ability to ask any and all questions related to Catholicism. The priests brought onto the show are not only well-educated in their faith but also capable of providing clear, concise, and accurate answers. They do not shy away from difficult questions or offer watered-down responses often found in other parishes. Instead, they provide answers firmly rooted in the fullness of truth. The depth of knowledge displayed by these priests is truly impressive and allows listeners to gain a deeper understanding of various aspects of their faith.

Furthermore, this podcast is well-organized and structured. Jordan Pacheco does an excellent job as a host, ensuring that each episode flows smoothly and efficiently. The episodes are easy to follow and listen to, making it accessible for both Catholics seeking guidance and those simply interested in learning more about the faith.

While it is challenging to identify any significant drawbacks, one minor criticism would be that some episodes may lack diversity in terms of topics covered. While there is certainly a wealth of information provided on Catholic doctrine and practice, it would be interesting to see a wider range of discussions including current events within the Church or even personal testimonies from priests or laypeople.

In conclusion, The Ask A Priest Live podcast is an incredible gift to the Catholic Church. It provides access to traditional priests who are faithfully committed to teaching the truths of Catholicism without compromise. The knowledge shared on this podcast has been invaluable in deepening my own understanding and relationship with God. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone seeking guidance or desiring a greater understanding of their Catholic faith.

Fr. Daniel Alloy, FSSP has served as Parochial Vicar at Regina Caeli Parish in Houston, Texas since July of 2022. He was ordained in June of 2020. In Today's Show: I was wondering if members of other apostolic churches like Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, etc. are allowed to receive Holy Communion in the Catholic Church. If so, what are the conditions that must be followed? Why do we use the term “Godfather” when there is only God the Father almighty? Do our souls have a gender? At the resurrection, since our bodies and souls will be reunified, will there be any need for us to eat? I know that things like witchcraft and sorcery or anything dealing with occult powers is dangerous and wrong, but my teenage son is fascinated by magic, meaning the kind of magic that involves the art of illusion. Is there any danger in this? How are we not cannibals if we eat the body of Our Lord? Regarding the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, I've heard conflicting "reasons" given for that. Most say homosexuality, but I've seen people on YouTube make arguments for other causes. Which is correct? To join the FSSP these days, do you have to consciously reject the SSPX? In seminary, what's taught on the SSPX? When discerning, why choose FSSP? What happens to the laity if a church is declared schismatic? Houston heat and Tex-Mex cuisine! Is the name Yahweh specifically connected to God the Father or to all of the persons of the Trinity? Does playing board games with your family/children count as leisure and how can we talk to someone who desires too much leisure or recreation? I was at High Mass today for the Feast of the Precious Blood. Can you explain a little about the roles of deacon and subdeacon? Where is St. Joseph buried? Fr. Anthony Amato is the Pastor of St. Peter's Parish in Clifton Springs, New York. He was ordained as a priest in June of 2017 by Bishop Salvatore Matano of the Diocese of Rochester, New York.   In Today's Show: I've heard Father Ripperger say that it is a sin to pray with Protestants. Is that true? I try to get all of our family's cooking salt blessed, but I realize that sometimes food that has blessed salt in it gets thrown away (or given to our pets as scraps). Is this sinful? Do you know or have you heard of anyone in the 7th mansion from St Teresa of Avila's writings where they have entered spiritual marriage with God? Why are so few seemingly able to reach such heights? Are we too attached to worldly things and lack trust in God? Where can I find the prayers that are said during Mass so I can follow along? I'm a new convert! Should I be concerned when my priest writes or professes overtly political messages? I was reflecting on my teenage years and how I often disobeyed my parents and caused them much worry. I have confessed those sins, but wonder about acts of reparation? My folks are deceased. Is the sin of curiosity a mortal sin if it involves impurity? Like if you went somewhere knowing you'd see someone wearing immodest clothing? I see a lot of different views on the end times and a lot of the Protestant views seem unbiblical. The Catechism's teaching is also somewhat unclear and leaves room for interpretation. What do you think? Even though I've been baptized, I'm concerned there may be spiritual consequences from my grandfather's Freemasonic oaths or affiliations that need to be addressed. Would you recommend that I speak with my parish priest or diocesan office about this? Is there any time that a Catholic would be allowed to attend a Protestant Church? For example, to attend a wedding or baptism of a friend who is not Catholic but has invited someone who is a practicing Catholic? My Protestant friend says that Jesus is the one “Mediator”, as He said that no one comes to the Father except through Me. My friend says that is why we Catholics should not pray to the saints. How should I respond to that argument? Recently we attended a mass in which the priest spent a lot of time outside the sanctuary, such as walking around to tell stories and jokes prior to the opening prayer, moving around the church while delivering the homily, coming down to the congregation to hold hands during the Our Father, and shaking hands with nearly every attendee during the sign of peace. If priests know that such practices are prohibited, why do they continue to do it?   Visit the show page at thestationofthecross.com/askapriest to listen live, check out the weekly lineup, listen to podcasts of past episodes, watch live video, find show resources, sign up for our mailing list of upcoming shows, and submit your question for Father!

In addition to being "unfitting", is it also objectively morally evil (notwithstanding the reader's knowledge or intentions)? Why did Jesus have to go away for the Holy Spirit to come? Why couldn't they both be present at the same time? When God created the Angels, 1/3 of them fell. What about our Guardian Angels? Is it possible that a number of Guardian Angels fell? If so, how does everyone have a Guardian Angel? I am afraid that some of my loved ones who have fallen away from the Church and are living in unrepentant sin may not make it to heaven. Of course, I am hopeful that I will someday reach heaven, but I don't know if I could be truly happy in heaven if some of my family are not there with me. So, I pray for them, but what if my fears are realized? Are there any references in the Old Testament you would point towards to explain the sacrament of extreme unction? What are your thoughts on some Catholics promoting the “warning" and illumination of conscience? Why do I sometimes hear preaching in church that refers to the Holy Spirit using the pronoun "It" rather than "He?" Is attending weekly Mass on Saturday evening acceptable, as a Carmelite Chapel only offers weekly Mass on Saturday? What does the church teach in terms of the dead reaching out to the living through signs, animals or nature? Why is Canon called Canon instead of Father? I've never heard that before!
