The Church is the Family of God. Family means something different to a lot of people in the world than what God originally meant for it to be. The Church, is also seen through the eyes of the Apostle Paul, as a body. We cannot function properly if the body is not working in harmony with itself. When families and our physical bodies do not work in harmony that is usually considered a dysfunctional family or a sick body. If that is so, then we need to discern the body. Which means we need to go to God and ask Him what is going on. Why are we sick and dysfunctional, and then allow the Holy Spirit to show us so, we can discern the body properly and get back to what He has called the Church, Family of God, to do in the world.

Dear Hillside: This week in the third-to-last message of our James series, Just Do the Word, we'll be experiencing another “cold plunge,” and in more ways than one. Nevertheless, we're confident that Pastor James' strong words in James 5:1-6 are our loving God's inspired words, so we'll listen securely and with the intention to “do” what we've “heard” in the power of the Spirit he poured into us. Have a great Saturday Hillside, and see you tomorrow for a rich service of musical praise, a report from “field agent” R.F., a message from God's word, and plenty of hugs, handshakes and fist bumps to go around. Our world seems to be falling apart and instead moving forward it appears that we are going in reverse. However, God see a whole other picture of our world. He is our hope and our future. We can see change happen in our world when the Church rises up and live as the true sons and daughter of God. Part of RLM's core values is that we believe that the world can still be changed for the glory of God.
What if the greatest danger isn't making bad plans—but allowing our good plans to distract us from the life God has placed in front of us? We spend so much time preparing for tomorrow that we can easily overlook the people, needs, and opportunities already within reach. This Sunday, we'll explore James 4:13–17 and what it means to invite Jesus not only into our beliefs, but into our work, ambitions, decisions, and dreams. Join us as we consider what a fully integrated life with Christ might look like—and what God may be asking us to do right now.Come worship with Hillside Covenant Church LIVE at 10:00 AM both online and in person as Kian Ameli teaches from James 4:13–17.This week's sermon notes are available at: https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZKr2o5Z8u0oiogoqryIGowbeXf5V4mDLTXXIf you are new to Hillside and are looking for ways to get connected and build community, visit our website: https://www.hillsidecovenant.org/ We welcome you to Hillside and are so glad you joined us today! To give in support of Hillside Covenant and its ministries follow this link: https://hillsidecovenant.churchcenter.com/givingThe full service from Hillside Covenant Church, Sunday, August 2, 2026.

When we are born we are born into a race that whether we like it or not we are running. As we grow older we realize that the race is not as easy as we thought it would be. The apostle Paul encouraged us to run in such a way that we would win. Yes, we know there can only be one winner but run as if we are that winner. If we don't we will give up and coast through life and miss out on a life that God wanted us to have that would not only be amazing but life changing for others.

We also talk about tipping food delivery drivers, if the ScreenX movies theaters are a gimmick or not, play another edition of The Deep Throat Game, and we eat Taco Bell on-air to prive that it's safe.

During this message, we looked at Exodus chapters 7-11 and a phrase God repeats six times in just five chapters: "Let my people go, so that they may worship me." That repetition reveals two things at the core of who God is... God repeatedly fights for our freedom, and God repeatedly desires our worship. As we continued our Exodus summer series, Pastor Sam guided us through these two points and encouraged us to notice where God is fighting for our freedom and to take one intentional step of worship — whether that's singing, sacrificing, or serving. Dear Hillside: Not long ago I read about an unfortunate soul who tried to escape a DUI investigation by dropping off the roadway and scampering for freedom. The problem? The state was Louisiana and the terrain was swamp. A swamp filled with gators. What you imagined happened happened, though it could have been far worse as the man only suffered minor chomp wounds. I'm tempted to laugh but I dare not because if I'm honest I have to admit I've ended up in my own “swamps” from time to time. And to escape the “gators” I've needed the particular grace James prescribes in this week's passage. I (Dan) am looking forward to sharing with you what God gave me in the “cold plunge” verses James 4:1-10. Enjoy your Saturday and see you tomorrow at 10:00 AM for our weekly time to celebrate God and cheer each other on in the great race of faith.Come worship with Hillside Covenant Church LIVE at 10:00 AM both online and in person as Dan Seitz teaches from James 4:1-10.This week's sermon notes are available at: https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZmmOr5ZKGSshWhpPA805seVkjFsrbUrCz3VIf you are new to Hillside and are looking for ways to get connected and build community, visit our website: https://www.hillsidecovenant.org/ We welcome you to Hillside and are so glad you joined us today! To give in support of Hillside Covenant and its ministries follow this link: https://hillsidecovenant.churchcenter.com/givingThe full service from Hillside Covenant Church, Sunday, July 19, 2026.

As the real estate industry becomes increasingly specialized, many brokerages focus on a single segment of the market. However, a growing number of firms are embracing a more comprehensive approach, creating strategic partnerships that allow them to serve clients throughout the real estate lifecycle. This week on Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio, Michelle Hewell, owner and broker of Foundation Partners Realty, joins host Carol Morgan to discuss the firm's brokerage model designed to bridge the gap between traditional real estate services and the evolving needs of builders, developers, investors and homebuyers. Relationships Remain the Foundation of Real Estate Success While technology continues to reshape the industry, one truth remains unchanged: long-term success depends on trust, communication and consistency. “I’ve learned that this is ultimately a people business,” said Hewell. “Whether you’re working with first-time homebuyers, developing a subdivision or helping an agent build a career, those relationships matter. They matter the most.” The rise of artificial intelligence, data analytics and digital marketing is transforming the homebuilding and real estate industries, but professionals who prioritize relationships and maintain strong reputations may be better positioned to adapt to changing market conditions. The Importance of Strategic Partnerships Today’s real estate transactions often extend far beyond buying and selling homes. Builders need land acquisition expertise, investors seek market intelligence and property owners require guidance on development opportunities. “We built this as a full-service real estate brokerage around collaboration and strategic partnerships,” said Hewell. “Our goal is to provide expertise across the entire real estate lifecycle, not just one transaction.” This integrated approach reflects a broader industry trend as brokerages increasingly seek to provide comprehensive solutions rather than transactional services alone. Technology Creates New Opportunities in Land Acquisition Growing competition for developable land across Georgia is driving builders and developers to rely more heavily on technology to identify opportunities and evaluate potential sites. Through its partnership with Atlas Group, Foundation Partners Realty uses advanced geographic information systems (GIS) mapping technology to analyze land opportunities throughout the state. These tools can provide detailed information about a property’s characteristics, development potential and surrounding infrastructure within minutes. For smaller builders, access to sophisticated land analysis tools can help level the playing field in an increasingly competitive development environment. Exemption Plats Offer a Path Forward for Smaller Builders Exemption plats have emerged as a valuable strategy for smaller builders entering the market, helping offset lengthy entitlement timelines and rising development costs. Unlike traditional subdivision approvals, which often require extensive engineering, infrastructure planning and lengthy approval timelines, exemption plats allow builders to move projects forward more quickly and with lower upfront investment requirements. “That’s a really great opportunity for a new builder or a smaller builder to get started,” said Hewell. “It’s not the huge amount of investment that you’re going to put forth on a 50-lot neighborhood.” Smaller-scale projects can provide builders with opportunities to bring new housing inventory to market while reducing risk and accelerating timelines. How Faith and Timing Shape Real Estate Leadership Launching a business in any market requires confidence and, for many entrepreneurs, a willingness to trust the timing of opportunities as they arise. As Georgia’s real estate industry continues to evolve, firms that combine strong relationships, strategic partnerships and specialized expertise may be uniquely positioned to serve the increasingly complex needs of builders, developers and consumers. “A lot of people call me a risk taker,” said Hewell. “I don’t think I’m a risk taker. I think my faith is so strong it’s unshakable.” Learn more about Foundation Partners Realty at foundationpartnersrealty.com.
