Stop overdelivering for free and start running a cleaner, faster, more profitable route. We break down a practical pool service system that scales, from smart service tiers to a weekly workflow that keeps quality high and labor tight. You'll learn how to set expectations with chemical-only, mid-tier, and full-service offerings, and when to upgrade a client based on debris load, pool size, and their appetite for DIY.We share a simple order of operations that saves minutes at every stop: visual scan, equipment check, surface clearing with a light soap mix or a purpose-built surface cleaner, a thorough skim pass, tile cleaning with the right product for the surface, efficient vacuuming, and a final brush that prevents algae and polishes the finish. Along the way, we compare tile cleaners and how to handle acid safely, and we explain why pushing dirt to the main drain or brushing everything to the deep end leaves pools looking half-done.Vacuuming strategy is where routes win or lose time. We cover when “vacuum when needed” belongs in your service agreement, how to spot vacuum using an existing cleaner hose, and why tools like Riptide, Bottom Feeder, VacDaddy, and Water Tech units help employees deliver consistent results without wrestling hoses. Then we get into the money: time caps by pool size, recovery plans after windstorms or trimming days, and pricing that reflects volume and debris realities in markets with larger pools. If you're ready to tighten your workflow, reduce callbacks, and protect margins without compromising on crystal-clear water, this guide is your playbook. Subscribe, share this with your team, and leave a review with your best time-saving tip—we'll feature our favorites on a future show.• building tiered services from chemical-only to full service• visual inspection and equipment checks every visit• surface clearing with soap or surface cleaner• tile care options and safe acid handling• vacuuming strategy and service agreements• brushing technique to prevent algae• tool choices for faster vSend us a textSupport the Pool Guy Podcast Show Sponsors! What if the greatest announcement in human history wasn't given to kings, scholars, or warriors—but to ordinary men working the night shift? In Luke 2:8–20, the first people to hear about the birth of Jesus weren't the powerful or prestigious—they were shepherds keeping watch in the dark. In this message, we look at how God used these unnoticed, rugged men to teach us what real strength looks like: staying alert, recognizing our desperate need for a Savior, obeying quickly when God speaks, and returning changed because of an encounter with Jesus. The shepherds didn't just hear the good news—they moved with haste, shared what they had seen, and worshiped with transformed hearts. Their story reminds us that real men don't wait for perfect circumstances… they respond in obedience and lead with courage. How is God calling you to respond this Christmas?

The family was God's idea. It was not a construct of man. It didn't just evolve from two people. God created it on purpose and for a purpose. It was God's design to have all of us to be in family. Why? Because there is power in family. Unfortunately that power can be good and/or bad. Not everyone has good families. In the U.S. the normal family is blended because of divorce and/or widow or widowers. Regardless of what the state of your family is, God has a purpose for it and you can pass a legacy on that will affect generations and change the world in the process.
This Sunday, join us as we explore a surprising and powerful passage in the Bible—Revelation 12. We'll discover that Christmas isn't just a nativity scene; it's a cosmic battle of good versus evil. Through this message, you will gain a clear vision of the evil we encounter in this world and our triumph over it in Christ.Come worship with Hillside Covenant Church LIVE at 9:00 & 10:30 AM both online and in person as Wayne Phillips teaches from Revelation 12:1-17.This week's sermon notes are available at: https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZte0C5ZyIKYyg3Q5K0fWvshwQyGLXCAvKFyIf you are new to Hillside and are looking for ways to get connected and build community, visit our website: https://www.hillsidecovenant.org/ We welcome you to Hillside and are so glad you joined us today! To give in support of Hillside Covenant and its ministries follow this link: https://hillsidecovenant.churchcenter.com/givingThe full service from Hillside Covenant Church, Sunday, December 7, 2025.

When Ezekiel was in the Valley of Dry Bones God showed him many things that would not only change his life but the lives of millions of people in the future. God asked Ezekiel what he saw. Ezekiel couldn't see through God's eyes but when God revealed it to him it changed his life and eventually our life. You might see bones but God sees an army.

Happy Saturday morning, Hillside Family! School's out for the holiday, soccer and swimming are over for the season, all our Thanksgiving preparations are complete (well, maybe not). Nevertheless, Saturday's here and I hope it's a day of fun and refreshment. Tomorrow is the first day of the week, the Lord's Day in which we gather and worship him as his beloved family, the first practice of everyone who wears King Jesus' colors and is propelled by his Spirit. Tomorrow's service is going to be rich. It will include singing, a baptism, "God at Work" and an important message critically tied to our mission of "making mature and equipped disciples who share Christ and serve the world." We'll also be sharing the plan for dealing with our great problem of having a packed room. Come early, squeeze in, and expect an encounter with the living God that will leave you encouraged and energized.Come worship with Hillside Covenant Church LIVE at 10:00 AM both online and in person as Alejandro Garcia teaches from II Corinthians 9:6-8.This week's sermon notes are available at: https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZl8Gg5ZUh65zdLyuNhjn5K55ALbuuxlxlq7If you are new to Hillside and are looking for ways to get connected and build community, visit our website: https://www.hillsidecovenant.org/ We welcome you to Hillside and are so glad you joined us today! To give in support of Hillside Covenant and its ministries follow this link: https://hillsidecovenant.churchcenter.com/givingThe full service from Hillside Covenant Church, Sunday, November 23, 2025.

Christanity is not complicated. It is really simple. We were lost without Jesus. We were not doing a great job at life and loving people. Jesus came, paid the price for our sin, and didn't give us what we did deserve (judgement and separation from Him) and gave us what we didn't deserve (grace and mercy). Our only action is to submit to Him and allow Him to change us from the inside out. Done! Divine simplicity.
On this week's Extra Serving, NRN editor in chief SamOches and executive editor Alicia Kelso discuss the latest restaurant industry news, including (yes, more) updates on beverages and what could happen to the category in 2026, plus the barista strike and “Bearista” bonanza at Starbucks. First, Alicia offers her recap of the recent Restaurant Finance & Development Conference (RFDC), where she says investors seem to be more realistic about the economy and turning their eye toward four-wall growth rather than unit expansion. Then they move the conversation to beverages, discussing what we can expect from the category in 2026. Will it get even crazier? (Short answer: Yes.) Next up is Starbucks, which can't seem to avoid the headlines lately. That included a barista strike at dozens of locations, which did not seem to disrupt the company's Red Cup Day but did seem to suggest more issues to address with employees. Meanwhile, the company launched a new “Bearista” beverage container that sold out so quickly that many customers are growling about it online. Is this much ado about nothing or an indication of the company's continued struggle to reassert itself as the dominant coffee player? Sam and Alicia discuss. Then Alicia weighs in on value offerings from full-service companies and how they could further build momentum particularly among casual-dining chains. Finally, catch an interview between senior food and beverage editor Bret Thorn and North Italia's beverage director, Jon Baer. For more on these stories: Why beverages will be even bigger in 2026Starbucks responds to the sold-out Bearista cup — a surprise viral merch momentHow the full-service category is redefining value

God created man in His image. Not that we look like God but in the fact that we are a triune bring. He is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We are the same, having a spirit, soul, and body. And we should live in that order of hierarchy, spirit, soul, and body. However, because our spirit died in the garden when Adam and Eve sinned and our direct connection with God was broken. And ever since man has lived by his soul, or his mind, will, and emotions. We tried to do what we thought was best but we couldn't do it with out the Spirit of God living in us and empowering us. But then Jesus came and changed it all. However, most followers of Jesus are still living by their soul and not by the Spirit. Our soul must be under the control of the Spirit of God in order to have soul control.
Happy Saturday morning, Hillside Family! Of course, you'll have chores to get to today. And homework if you're a student. But I hope you can squeeze all those adult responsibilities into 90 minutes of feverish work and then spend the rest of this autumn day doing whatever fills you up. Maybe a hike in Shell Ridge. Maybe a bike ride in Briones. Maybe trying out a new soup recipe. Maybe a college football game with cheese and crackers to snack on. Whichever way you spend your Saturday though, I hope you'll take a few minutes to think about and prepare for tomorrow. Whereas Saturday is our day, Sunday is the Lord's Day. The day he set aside for his children to meet together as a family to celebrate and hear from him. If you want a head start on the message, I encourage you to read Genesis 22:1-18, the story we'll be reliving in this second to last week of our School of Faith series. One more suggestion: put your “work Bible” by the door so you'll remember to bring it with you tomorrow. Remind your kids to do the same. God bless your day and see you tomorrow for the Lord's Day!Come worship with Hillside Covenant Church LIVE at 10:00 AM both online and in person as Dan Seitz teaches from Genesis 22:1-18.This week's sermon notes are available at: https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZDaQM5Zn6jKJANTWfSIxBRcA5l9rL5YJXQkIf you are new to Hillside and are looking for ways to get connected and build community, visit our website: https://www.hillsidecovenant.org/ We welcome you to Hillside and are so glad you joined us today! To give in support of Hillside Covenant and its ministries follow this link: https://hillsidecovenant.churchcenter.com/givingThe full service from Hillside Covenant Church, Sunday, November 9, 2025.
