The project wants to spray the stratosphere with metals and aerosols in order to "cool the planet." The project also wants to utilize satellites to change the impact of radiation and the move clouds or at least thing them out. While this is being claimed as a small scale project, there's little to no information on it except what they themselves have acknowledged. Dominic Cummings who heads this project was a top advisor to Boris Johnson, former Prime Minister and has been armed with 800 million pounds. This comes after decades of weather modification, geoengineering, cloud seeding and massive weather disasters caused by such projects. Interestingly (and they want you to think it's a coincidence), this news comes around the same time as COP29, The United Nations' Pact For The Future and the Basel iii proposal by 63 countries at the World Bank which conveniently has lost 24 billion dollars of its climate funds. The goal is clearly to restrict people's access to food outside of a ration based system and the same goes for the grid. They will create crisis and bring in technocratic controls under the guise of "fighting climate change" or rationing for war or disease. The United Nations openly bragged about being able to shut down countries over this years ago. With the Net Zero by 2050 agenda signed onto by 193 countries and the push to ban meat and travel by 2029 in the UK, they're clearly escalating crisis. Order out of chaos as they say. In this episode, Lindsey Rogerson and Rachel Wolcott, senior editors for Regulatory Intelligence in EMEA discuss the UK Financial Conduct Authority's (FCA) approach to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) compliance.In the UK, most public bodies are subject to FOIA. That means members of the public can request information held by public authorities or by persons providing services to them. That includes the FCA, the Prudential Regulation Authority and the Bank of England. Lindsey and Rachel discuss the importance of using FOIA in their work to uncover information that helps readers and listeners better understand how the regulators work. They talk through several examples of information they've been able to request, including about whistleblowing, enforcement statistics, as well as bullying and harassment allegations made by FCA employees. Recently, however, many of their FOIA requests have been met with resistance from the regulator. Lindsey and Rachel talk about how they appealed the FCA's use of FOIA exemptions —and won. "Yes" Does the FCA still circulate FOI responses to large number of staff in the CEO's office and the COO for comments and sign off? "As we mentioned in our last response to you in March, our approach is in line with ICO guidance and the law." What are the latest IDT performance statistics? "Over the last 12 months from September 2023 to August 2024 (inclusive), we responded to 92% of FOIA requests and 98% of DSARs within the statutory deadline." Has the ICO asked the FCA to perform any remedial work on IDT? Has ICO advised/queried the FCA about safeguards for FOIA and DPA in the new combined IDT/press office arrangements? "No. When we answered your questions in March, we explained that it had been our intention that the information disclosure team would move to a different department within the communications directorate as part of a planned restructure later this year. That move has now happened." Has the FCA stopped internal circulation of lists of new FOIA requests with names of requestors? If not why not?"We continue to circulate the details of new requests, which generally include the names of the requesters, to a limited number of internal stakeholders. We are satisfied that our internal processes are appropriate and lawful, including that our processes are compliant with FOIA and data protection legislation." What further steps has the FCA taken to train IDT/comms staff about using FOIA exemptions?"All IDT staff and internal reviewers have received formal training on the application of the FOI Act and many members of the team are qualified FOIA practitioners. In addition, IDT works closely with our legal division, which provides expert guidance in the interpretation of the most complex aspects of the Act." Has the FCA reviewed its approach to labelling FOIA requests as vexatious following the First-Tier Tribunal case Paul Carlier v Information Commissioner and the FCA? If yes, how? "The FCA continues to consider each request on a case by case basis, in line with the requirements of relevant legislation, ICO guidance and case law. In this case, the ICO agreed with our view the requests were vexatious. The Tribunal, however, decided 'by a narrow margin' they were not, a conclusion it reached 'with some hesitation.' We have therefore been happy to reconsider the requests." From the evidence we have reviewed the FCA's approach to FOIAs and DPAs seemed to be top-down with many senior executives signing off requests and even correcting grammar errors. We are also aware from our own FOIs that there is often months-long delays in responding to requests and appeals. Given this, what is the FCA doing to ensure a more efficient process in line with the legislation? "We have improved our performance on the statutory deadlines for FOIAs and DSARs over the last year. We recognise that we need to do more to improve our performance in processing FOIA Internal Reviews and DSAR complaints. We are currently considering how the existing process can be streamlined to improve its efficiency. If they secretly had doubts, why did officials blatantly lie to the public about their confidence in a zoonotic origin? Jason Leopold, a senior reporter with Bloomberg News, has literally been getting under the skin of government bureaucracies for decades. His weapon: The Freedom of Information Act, enacted by Congress in the mid-1960s because the feds, well, had an insidious propensity to bury embarrassing, or even illegal, acts under layers of official secrecy. Over the years the law has been strengthened—not that it's stopped the government from continuing its bad behavior. That's where Leopold, a multiple prize winning, much admired, relentless digger, comes in. The 55-year-old journalist is a legend for forcing the government to release explosive documents ranging from Hillary Clinton's secret email server to CIA torture procedures to Donald Trump's misrouting, should we say, of highly classified documents from the White House to Mar-a-Lago. Farnsworth notes that FOIA essentially “shines a light on government actions.”The FOIA process empowers individuals outside the government to compel the disclosure of information that should be public. According to the Supreme Court of the United States, the purpose of FOIA “is to ensure an informed citizenry, vital to the functioning of a democratic society, needed to check against corruption and to hold governors accountable to the governed.”Farnsworth walks listeners through the FOIA request process, outlining some limitations, such as its inability to force the creation of new records by the government.The Center recently filed a FOIA request, and subsequently a lawsuit, to obtain the names of U.S. airports that received flights of illegal aliens being paroled into the country through Biden's CBP One parole scheme. Once CBP did respond, the crucial details were redacted from the documents; CBP justified the redactions under the claim of protecting law enforcement techniques. Farnsworth shared that the Center plans to challenge this dubious explanation, in hopes of unveiling critical insights into the impact of the influx of illegal immigrants on various cities.Mark Krikorian, the Center's executive director and host of the podcast, encourages anyone with tips or information to share through the Center's encrypted email account.In his closing commentary, Krikorian highlights a recent Center analysis of the Institute for International Education's study on foreign students. Then, another bombshell revealed in open court in today's Danchenko trial was that the senior FBI officials traveled overseas to offer ex-spy Christopher Steele $1 million for the dossier that they knew was fake. Special Counsel Durham personally walked jurors through this phony information which was used by the FBI to obtain a FISA warrant to conduct surveillance on Trump and his campaign. The dossier was initially paid for by Hillary Clinton's campaign and the Democrat National Committee through a law firm they hired for opposition research. A freedom of information act request by a reporter seeks four years worth of federal contractor reports. Companies would have filed the reports -- concerning their equal opportunity hiring records -- with the Office of Federal Contractor Compliance Programs at the Labor Department. The information could be confidential. Contractors have just a few weeks to file an objection with OFPPC. To take a deeper look at all of this, Federal Drive host Tom Temin spoke with Piliero Mazza attorney Kevin Barnett.

A federal advisory committee is recommending Congress give a small office at the National Archives and Records Administration the ability to issue binding decisions over Freedom of Information Act request disputes. Proponents of the recommendation say it will help improve FOIA at a time when public records requests backlogs and denials are on the rise. But the idea also faces pushback, including from the office's director. With just 10 employees and an annual budget of less than $2 million, the Office of Government Information Services, or OGIS, is charged with mediating disputes between the public and agencies over FOIA requests.

Mike Howell—Senior Advisor for Government Relations at The Heritage Foundation—joins The Dawn Stensland Show to discuss The Heritage Foundation's decision to sue the Biden Administration, specifically the Department of Homeland Security, demanding the release of documentation related to its investigation into several border patrol agents wrongfully accused of whipping migrants. Though the Administration's internal investigation evidently revealed no criminal wrongdoing, the agents are still going to be sanctioned. The Biden Administration has, thus far, ignored Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests for pertinent documents regarding the matter. Why won't the administration just turnover this documentation?

The Freedom of Information Act might be best known as a way for journalists and public interest groups to get information about the operations of government. But it can also be a tool for companies to get confidential information about their competitors. Safeguarding that information has gotten more complicated in the last few years, because the state of the law around the FOIA exemption that applies to things like trade secrets is in flux. Nathan Castellano is special counsel in the government contracts group at Jenner and Block. He wrote a recent briefing paper about those complications, and talked about it with Federal News Network's Jared Serbu.

In this episode: I discuss Yemen, the worlds worst ongoing humanitarian crisis. As of this writing May 27th, 2022, the crisis in Ukraine enters its third month as Yemen has been in crisis for more than seven years. The crisis in Ukraine dominates the western media yet you will not hear them mention Yemen. People the world over are sharing their vows of "I stand with Ukrain", yet most have no idea the crisis in Yemen continues. I recently ordered business cards from Vista Print, and in the bottom of the shipping box was a sticker " I stand with Ukraine". The United States has committed to a $44 BILLION dollar aid package for Ukraine consisting of weapons and cash aid for it's citizens. Yet the US has only given $4.5 billion in aid to Yemen in seven years. According to google as of March 16, 2022. I have nothing against the people of Ukraine and sympathize with them, however it kills me that people are virtue signaling to such a great degree while ignoring the crisis in Yemen completely. We have become so indoctrinated here in the US and this virtue signaling is a perfect example of this. People believe what the government wants them to believe. If it comes through that little box and the government confirms it , it must be true it appears. I for one am still capable of critical thinking and take what the government tells me with a grain of salt knowing of the many times our government has lied to the people in the past. The US government has committed MANY atrocities, many against it's own people. We usually do not find out about these atrocities and crimes against its own citizens and humanity until decades later when a journalist sues the government to release records through the Freedom Of Information Act or FOIA. The government has recently released more information on the assassination of president Kennedy, yet is still withholding the majority of documents under the guise of national security some 50 years after the event. This hints at the government being complicit. For if the people were to learn that their own government had a hand in the killing of a sitting president we would all lose faith in the government and there would be riots in the streets. What other way could an event 50 years in our past effect national security in the present? I have not met a single person that believes the governments official claim of a lone gunman and the "magic bullet" theory. Once you start to dig a little, the entrance to the rabbit hole is revealed and down you go into an endless maze of government conspiracies that at face value seem insane and implausible, that is until you begin to research them. Some of my favorite PROVEN US government conspiracies are Operation Northwoods, Operation Sea Spray, Operation MK Ultra, Operation Midnight Climax, Operation Mongoose, Operation Paperclip, and Operation COINTELPRO.
