Do you feel stuck, waiting on God to move in your life? What if you already have everything you need to grow—right now? In this message, discover how to unlock the power of the Seed of the Word in your spirit. Learn how to plant God's Word in the soil of your heart and grow the life God has designed for you—one of transformation, freedom, and purpose. The Bible isn't just a book of stories—it's a bag of seed, waiting for you to sow it into your life. Stop waiting for a blessing to fall from the sky. Start growing the harvest God has already promised. Get ready to: PLANT THE SEED!
Your soil matters more than you think. You've been hearing the Word, quoting scripture, maybe even planting seeds of faith. But if nothing's growing, it's time to check the soil. The problem isn't always the seed—it's where it's landing. In this message, Pastor Chad Everett reveals the creative power of your spirit, the soil God designed to produce supernatural results. When the Word gets into your spirit—not just your mind—it will grow. That's how the Kingdom of God works. This message will challenge you to: * Stop living from your formed part (your body and mind) * Start engaging your created part (your spirit—the real you) * Plant the Word deep in your heart and watch it multiply thirty, sixty, and one hundredfold Your spirit is not ordinary dirt. It was created by God to bring forth His purposes. But it can only produce when the Word is planted deep within it. It's time to stop just hearing the Word and start growing it. https://theroads.church
“Everything you need—peace, wisdom, direction, comfort—is waiting. But you have to get quiet enough to receive it.” Prayer is not a burden—it's a gift. A gift that doesn't wear out, go out of style, or fade with time. But for many of us, it's been left on the shelf. In this message, you'll be invited to pick it up again. God has already provided what you're searching for: Rest for your soul (Matthew 11 : 28) Direction for your life (Psalm 119 : 105) Peace that the world can't give (John 14 : 27) Wisdom for every decision (Proverbs 2 : 6) It's all in His Word. But the key is this: You must abide in Him through prayer. This isn't a message to admire. It's an invitation to act. Don't wait for perfect conditions. Start today. Open your Bible. Open your heart. Put the distractions down and receive the gift of prayer. The Roads Church: https://theroads.church
“It is actually freedom to live fully submitted to whatever He says.” If God's Word says it, we obey it. If God speaks, we respond—without delay. If Jesus gave everything, we give Him first place in our hearts. We walk in repentance, humility, and awe. Even when no one is watching, our lives should reflect the holiness of the One we follow. When we live to please ourselves, we become slaves to our own desires. But when we live to please the Lord, we walk in true liberty—the freedom to live fully alive, fully holy, and fully His. Let this message shake you. Examine your heart. Are you living to please the Lord or seeking comfort, affirmation, or permission to remain the same? God is holy. And He's calling us higher. You were never called to simply improve your life — you were called to die to yourself and be raised with Christ. Through the power of the cross, Jesus paid the debt we could never pay and stripped the enemy of his weapons, making a way for us to live fully alive in Him. "Until you're ready to die, you're not really ready to live." — Pastor Chad Everett In this message from Colossians 2 and 3, Pastor Chad challenges us to stop living for ourselves, bury the old life, and walk in the resurrection life Jesus offers. Learn what it means to truly die to sin, seek the things above, and set your mind on the life God has for you.
“The man in the middle makes the difference!” Proximity Is Not the Same as Relationship This moment speaks directly to us today. Many people are near Jesus — even in church, around Christian things — but not actually with Jesus. “You can be next to Jesus and still miss Him.” The man on the left died near Jesus, but not with Jesus. The man on the right died with Jesus, and woke up in paradise. Which criminal are we? This is the ultimate question. Are you the one who wants Jesus to save your life so you can keep it? Or are you the one who says, “I deserve death. Remember me.” Both criminals had the same opportunity. Both were the same distance from Jesus. Only one walked into eternity with Him. Jesus invites you to move from beside Him to with Him. He doesn't force. He lets you choose. Will you surrender? Will you die to your old life? Will you let the man in the middle make the difference in your life today? The Roads Church: https://theroads.church
Discover how God's plan and provision for your life begins with simply being with Him. In this powerful sermon, Pastor Chad Everett takes us into Exodus 3 and the calling of Moses to reveal three foundational truths: God has a plan! His provision is already built into that plan! He invites us into partnership! Are you asking God to be with your plans—or are you aligning yourself with His? This message will challenge you to step out in faith, listen for His voice, and trust that wherever His plan leads, His presence will be there.
In this powerful and passionate message, discover what it means to live a bold, Spirit-filled life. From personal testimonies of miracles and healing to a biblical challenge against offense and unbelief, Richie Seltzer unpacks the full message of salvation: healed, saved, and delivered. Be reminded that faith is not passive—it's an action. Learn how the Holy Spirit empowers ordinary believers to become bold witnesses for Christ, walking in supernatural authority and love. If you've been hungry for a deeper encounter with God, this message will stir your spirit and challenge your comfort. Whether you are new to the faith or have followed Jesus for years, this message will inspire you to: - Walk in boldness through the Holy Spirit - Step out in faith and see miracles follow - Let go of offense and embrace true freedom - Receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit - Live as a witness of Jesus wherever you go The Roads Church: https://theroads.church

Are you in a season of waiting? Feeling stuck between your calling and your breakthrough? Key Takeaways from this Message: ✅ The difference between being called, consecrated, and commissioned ✅ Why the wilderness season is necessary for spiritual growth ✅ How to stand firm in God's goodness even in trials ✅ The truth about prophetic training—rejection, testing, and refining ✅ Why God is raising up shining stars, not shooting stars
In this teaching on Luke 11, Chad Everett dives deep into Jesus' lesson on prayer—how it can be taught, learned, and applied with persistence. When the disciples asked, “Lord, teach us to pray,” Jesus not only gave them the model prayer (The Lord's Prayer) but also shared a powerful parable about a friend knocking at midnight. Luke 18 continues the conversation, focusing on the character and nature of God. If we're going to pray correctly, we must understand that God is not like the reluctant friend in bed or the unjust judge. Too many people see God as distant or unwilling, like someone who has bigger things to worry about than our everyday problems. That is not God! Jesus emphasizes that God is a good Father who wants us to come boldly and persistently to Him, trusting that He will answer our prayers.
Jeremiah Johnson from The Altar Global shares what heaven is saying for The Roads Church. God wants to raise up Gideon's army in Norris City, and over the cities connected to the ministry of The Roads Church. There are men and women who have counted themselves out do to their past, and God is saying to you today - 'Yes You, I choose You. You are mine. You are my beloved. I've not only forgiven your sins - I've forgot them.' God does not call the equipped. He equips those that He calls. God took Moses from "Who Am I" to "I AM" sent me. God is taking many from "Who Am I" to the "I AM" has sent me. Many are questioning who we are, familiar with the voices of accusation from the devil, instead of knowing who we are by the voice of affirmation from the voice of Father God. Father God loves You, and He has a plan for you. You're being called back to your heavenly identity that is connected to the Father. The early church was committed to steadfastly continue in prayer. If we as a church today believe that we should pray, what keeps us from praying? - WE DON'T KNOW HOW. Prayer can be taught & learned. Jesus taught His disciples to pray. - WE CAN BE LAZY. Not wanting to put in the time & effort. - WE WANT TO BE INDEPENDENT. Pride won't pray, it doesn't need God. Humility prays, it's dependent on God. - WE THINK IT DOESN'T MATTER OR MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Active, working & functioning prayer - it gets the job done! Keep praying! It matters! It makes a difference! Our prayers are filling the golden bowls in heaven. The goal in prayer is to align our hearts with God and to know what to pray. "Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit." James 5:16-18 SERMON NOTES: https://www.bible.com/events/49387865 The Roads Church: https://theroads.church
Prayer came first. Then 3,000 souls were added. Prayer makes a way! It is the plow in the ground that comes before everything that God wants to do in the earth. Jesus instructs us - ASK and KEEP ASKING, SEEK and KEEP SEEKING, KNOCK and KEEP KNOCKING. God is GOOD, and gives good things to those who ask Him. We must not quit. We must keep praying. "These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers." Acts 1 : 14 NKJV “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!" Even in the midst of life, the demand of people - we can still have more to pour out, like Jesus, not in our own strength, but our source has got to be Jesus. We must reach out in faith, believing, even when it feels like it's been a long time of waiting. In the wait, we must trust that God is working. Know Your Source. Keep the Faith. & Don't Lose Heart. So it was, when Jesus returned, that the multitude welcomed Him, for they were all waiting for Him. Luke 8:40 The Roads Church https://theroads.church
What did the first church in Acts 2 think was important? SOULS God doesn't just want people who attend and sit in a church, looking for an outward touch, with no inward change. HE WANTS SOULS! Those that receive and believe. Those are the ones added to the Church. The ones being saved. And the purpose of the Church is to link people together with Jesus, and continue to grow in Him based on the 4 Pillars of the Church: 1) Apostle's Doctrine - didachē - Instruction, teaching 2) Fellowship - kŏinōnia - Close mutual relationships and involvement 3) Breaking of Bread 4) Prayers - prŏsĕuchē - To speak to God "Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them." Acts 2:41 SERMON NOTES: https://www.bible.com/events/49377555 The Roads Church: https://theroads.church
We need to step up, and step into the Promise-land of what God is calling us to do. We were made for hard things. Things bigger than ourselves. Like the children of Israel who thought it'd be better to go back to Egypt than going after what God had promised them, we can sometimes get overwhelmed and take a step back, but be encouraged - you have a God that created the heavens and the earth that is on your side. He will not leave nor forsake you. When we don't go after everything the Lord has for us - we're actually rebelling against Him. Numbers 13:25-33, 14:1-4, Hebrews 10:39, John 3:1-6, Romans 12:1-2 The Roads Church: https://theroads.church
There is a reason God told us to fast. When we consecrate or set apart our normal activity, schedules and eating for God to fast, conquering our flesh from ruling us, to consume more of Him in our life, it opens up freedom in the spirit. We can pray without fasting, but we shouldn't fast without praying. “Now, therefore,” says the LORD, “Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” SERMON NOTES: https://www.bible.com/events/49370173 The Roads Church: https://theroads.church
We are to continue steadfastly in the Four Joints of Building The Body of Christ. Joint # 3 - THE BREAKING OF BREAD 1) COMMUNION - the body & blood of our Lord Jesus Christ (John 6 : 48 - 51) 2) EATING TOGETHER - in the temple & house-to-house, the body of Christ must gather & fellowship 3) READING THE WORD - Encountering Jesus in the revelation of The Word "And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.: Acts 2:42 NKJV SERMON NOTES: https://www.bible.com/events/49362570 The Roads Church: https://theroads.church
God desires to take people higher. There are many accounts in scripture where God invites people to "come up" to Him, to ascend the "mountain." It's at this higher place where He meets with people, where there are encounters, where people receive wisdom and revelation. What we know is that going higher, always requires effort and testing. It's the journey that changes you. Are you ready to prepare for the climb? 1. You must acknowledge your current position. 2. You must prepare for the journey. 3. You must climb. 4. Prepare for hard conversations. 5. Get ready to encounter God. There should be fruit as you journey. God is inviting you higher! He loves you and wants more for you. Are you ready to climb? Matt Scott is the founding pastor of The Gathering Place Church in Moody, Alabama, and is an Overseer of The Roads Church, providing spiritual oversight to the church in a variety of ways in leadership decision making and accountability matters. https://gpchurch.tv/ The Roads Church - https://theroads.church
Fellowship - kŏinōnia - Close mutual relationships and involvement; partnership, participation; sharing in activities or privileges of an intimate association We are to "continue steadfastly" in Fellowship - both horizontally - with our brothers and sisters in Christ, and vertically with the Father and Jesus. And this is that "your joy may be full." Vertical Fellowship - We are not called merely into a relationship ABOUT JESUS; we're called into a kŏinōnia WITH JESUS. We are called to partner with, participate with, involved with Jesus in an intimate relationship. You cannot have faith outside of the revelation that Jesus living in you is greater than he who is in the world, and then you can release faith through Jesus living in you. Horizontal Fellowship - Who you fellowship with MATTERS! We have been called to horizontal kŏinōnia that goes out into the world that is so connected to Jesus that He in us will draw people to Him. When we partner with people who are connected to Jesus who prays for us, who encourages us, and when we get out of kŏinōnia with Jesus and the Bible, they call us to the truth. And when we partner with others in ministry - fruit abounds to your account in heaven. "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full." 1 John 1:1-4 SERMON NOTES: https://www.bible.com/events/49355284 The Roads Church: https://theroads.church
All of our theology & doctrine will be based on scripture. We will continue steadfastly in all three biblical teachings of the Apostle's Doctrine: 1) The doctrine of Baptism of Holy Spirit & Fire (Acts 1:4) - Believers need power. 2) The doctrine of Signs & Wonders (Acts 2:43) - They were done through the apostles. God wants to work signs and wonders through YOU, through the power of the Spirit of God to flow through. 3) The doctrine of Authority of the Believer (Mark 1:21-28) - Jesus has given us the authority over ALL the power of the enemy. "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16 SERMON NOTES: https://www.bible.com/events/49352302 The Roads Church: https://theroads.church
Church growth is about each of us growing in our relationship with Jesus, with the joints of the body in place both collectively and in our lives individually. And then as followers of Jesus, we must be willing to testify about our relationship with Jesus and what He is doing in our life. Our testimony should exhort/urge other people to take action and do something with it. TESTIFY & EXHORT! Let me tell you about Jesus! "A person with an argument is not match for a person with an experience." And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” Acts 2:40 SERMON NOTES: https://www.bible.com/events/49347598 The Roads Church: https://theroads.church
All five gifts found in Ephesians 4 - apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher - were given to the church for equipping the body for the work of ministry. We are not equipped for ourselves. We are equipped to minister for the benefit of others, for the building up and fitting of the body of Christ. You can be attached to a body, and not be attached to a head. It's called a CORPSE. Sometimes people are attached to a body, attending a church, but if we're not attached to the head, we will not be fully alive and functioning. We are all part of the body, with different assignment. We all need one another. We will not be equipped or fit, without all the gifts of the body of Christ operating. And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. Eph 4:11-16 SERMON NOTES: https://www.bible.com/events/49345701 The Roads Church: https://theroads.church
In order to move out of religion into revelation, we must "Think Kingdom!" from performance to presence. from entertainment to encounter. from attendance to activation. from consumerism to co-laboring. from production to reproduction. from playing to praying. from America to Antioch. Jesus did not die for us to attend a church and make it a compartment of our life. Church and religion will program you. WE HAVE TO DETOX! We have got to become like the church in Antioch. We need a Kingdom paradigm. We've got to delete what we know and what we've seen and witnessed, and say, "Lord we need a Bible revival." We need to practice scripture and not just quote it. The Roads Church: https://theroads.church Paul T. Johnson Ministries: https://www.paultjohnson.org/
Something bigger than us, not “OF” us, was given to us so that God can do things that are bigger than us through us. God wants us to understand the significance of what He's given us. Church is never just ME & JESUS. The Church is a body, and we need each other. Gifts were not given to promote our independence, but rather to operate together as one body. When every part does it's share, it causes growth and edifies the body of Christ, and builds it up. "But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift." Ephesians 4:7 "As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God." I Peter 4:10 SERMON NOTES: https://www.bible.com/events/49339229 THE ROADS CHURCH: https://theroads.church
"You are the body of Christ, and members individually." Everyone has a calling or invitation to walk into God's direction for their life. We have been bought with a price, and we no longer belong to ourselves, but they are legally God's, and He determines what we do with our lives. Too many times we ask the Lord to bless our life decisions. It's so important as Christians to know the purpose God has for our lives living it in alignment with your calling - everywhere you go. We can jump out of our calling because we lack lowliness, gentleness, longsuffering and bearing with one another. How long do we endure suffering? As long as it takes to become like JESUS! "WALK WORTHY OF THE CALLING WITH WHICH YOU WERE CALLED!" Eph 4:1 SERMON NOTES: https://www.bible.com/events/49334497 The Roads Church: https://theroads.church
We think our ministry is about us, but our ministry according to God's standard is what you are supposed to do to serve and help and bless others. You and I all have an assignment to serve other people, and God is saying, "Fulfill your ministry!" He's given all of us gifts and talents for one reason - to bless other people! We're going to have to make an account for what we do with all that He's given us. Jesus is coming to settle accounts! II Timothy 4:1-5, Romans 14:12, Matthew 25:14-19, Revelation 3:11-12, Ephesians 4:7-16 SERMON NOTES: https://www.bible.com/events/49331194 The Roads Church: https://theroads.church
There's a fighting style for us to learn. Float like a butterfly - SURRENDER. Sting like a bee - FIGHT. We always want the Joshua 6 moment, but not so much the Joshua 5 moment. In order for Joshua to get instruction, he had to get on his face, take off his shoes in surrender. We have to surrender every day, picking up our cross, even when the plan is weird. Joshua 5:13:15, 6:1-5, Daniel 10:5-11, Revelation 22:8-9, Exodus 3:4-5, Matthew 16:24, Luke 22:42 The Roads Church https://theroads.church
The Son of God, the Son of Man will appear in the Eastern sky, right before our eyes. And BAM! In a moment, we will be changed from mortal to immortal, from dying to never dying. There is a day coming that Jesus will appear, and He will sit on His throne, and like a shepherd, He will separate the sheep from the goats. We will give an account to Jesus for our life lived unto Him. We've all been given an assignment from God to PREACH, to DECLARE the WORD! We must be more concerned about someone's eternity than we are about our feelings. We must teach the truth publicly, whether it's convenient and favorable, or it's inconvenient and unfavorable, whether culture says it's good or not. Jesus is coming back! Is Jesus the King of your life? When He separates you, will He separate you as a sheep or a goat? Be READY! PREACH THE WORD! STICK TO THE TRUTH! GO FIND SOMEONE & TELL THEM TO COME & SEE JESUS! Roads Church - we must not neglect our assignment that God has given to plant churches. Time is running short, and people need to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the power of Holy Spirit. The world needs the truth! God is reminding us - Don't forget what you were called to do! FIND someone who hasn't seen what you've seen, and SHOW them what you've seen! That they may never un-see! We have to find people, and give them the hope of Jesus Christ. This is why God has called us to go out and plant churches and to reach people in other communities. It's not about us! We're building His Kingdom - not ours. Who is the last Nathaniel that you've said, "Come and see what I have seen about Jesus. He has changed my life"? Who is the last Philip, the last Simon, the last Nathaniel that you've brought to see Jesus? The Roads Church https://theroads.church
Church we have taken scripture that was meant for a specific people, with a specific issue, during a specific time, and used it in 2024 as God's law, rather than recognizing it is the law and tradition of man. There are no laws according to God that says that women cannot speak in church. Paul did not contradict himself in 1 Corinthians chapter 14 and chapter 11. Women - you have the same access & right to the promises of Abraham as heirs of Christ, as the men do. We must stop comparing ourselves with one another, pushing one another down. We must be secure in who we are in Christ. Be secure Woman! Be Secure Man! You must be who God called you to be. SERMON NOTES: https://www.bible.com/events/49317241 https://theroads.church
Perseverance in PRAYER! The WORD becoming who we are! DISCIPLINE to put God first! Jesus well equipped us to be victorious and overcome! But like the disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane with Jesus, our spirit is willing, but our flesh is weak. They could not pray even one hour, but instead fell asleep. We can be on our devices or watch a ball game for hours, but it's uncomfortable to pray for an hour. Our discipline to build up our spirit to be strong is in PRAYER & the WORD. The Lord wants to prepare us for what is coming, so we are ready for it, and not just reacting to it when it comes that we would be victorious, and a refuge of people that holds the TRUTH. Are you willing to makes prayer & intercession and the will of God number 1 in your life? https://theroads.church
Newsflash - Moses didn't build the Tabernacle. Bazalel and Aholiab did! God put wisdom, skill/talent inside of them to build it. And God has put talent inside of each of us for His purpose to reveal or make known through the gospel the life that does not end. Talent is your God-given ability. We all have the same God-given purpose - it's His purpose, but we all have different appointments based on our talents. When we have an understanding of our TALENT - what we can and cannot be the best at, and develop it to give God our best in pursuit of our purpose - OUR GREEN, then everywhere people go, they will see the light shining on the God kind of life that never ends - at the lumber yard, in the grocery store, sitting in the dentist chair . . . 2 Timothy 1:6-10, John 11:25, John 14:6, Romans 6:4-5, Exodus 31:1-11, 2 Chronicles 2:12, 1 Kings 7:13 Where's Your Green? God wants to purify our mouths - what we say, how we say it, in our relationships, in our workplaces, in our homes. What comes out of our mouth should bring edification. We live in the most critical culture and time - today. The devil is the accuser, and being critical and accusatory is operating in darkness. The enemy will use accusation to tear up the Church. Judgement will come to the Church first. Search our hearts Lord for any place that we operate in criticism and accusation that needs to be purified, so that what comes out of my mouth would bring edification. God has saved us AND CALLED us. God is calling everyone, but not everyone will fulfill the calling. Too many people are ignoring God's call. God's invitation to us is according to His purposes. It's greater than what we do for our job to make a living. It's vital that we know where our purpose comes from; it comes from God, and it's about what He wants to do in the Earth to bring all of creation into His Kingdom. He is blowing up your phone inviting you to live a life that is dedicated to Him, devoted to Him, and set apart to Him - HOLY UNTO HIM. When we submit to His purpose, everything that He created you to do on the inside, will be fulfilled. No one will fulfill their true purpose in life without Jesus. Your true purpose is In Him. 1 Timothy 1:8-12 1 Peter 1:15-16 2 Corinthians 6:17 Where's Your Green? Paul wrote to the church at Corinth for the purpose of speaking about the expectation of being in harmonious relationships and unity in the house of God, and then instructed them with how that is accomplished in light of using the gifts to bring Edification, Unity & Peace. The Church should be: Speaking in tongues ✓ Interpreting in certain situations ✓ Prophesying ✓ Desiring spiritual gifts ✓ Not forbidding speaking in tongues ✓ All things done decently and in order ✓ We must trust God to let Him say what is "decent" and "in order" and not our tradition. If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the commandments of the Lord. But if anyone is ignorant, let him be ignorant. Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues. Let all things be done decently and in order. I Corinthians 14:37-40 NKJV SERMON NOTES: https://www.bible.com/events/49308545 The Roads Church: https://theroads.church
Holy Spirit is IN YOU for NEW LIFE, and He comes UPON YOU for POWER & GIFTS for ministering to people. Tongues is a gift we receive when we are baptized in Holy Spirit, allowing us the ability to speak to God, and in the spirit speak mysteries. The Church must not forbid it. It's going to be essential for all believers, the Church, to operate in the Power of Holy Spirit in the days to come. The wisdom needed in the end days comes from the Bible, and it's available. We must be on the cutting edge of prophecy. What is God saying in this hour? SERMON NOTES: https://www.bible.com/events/49305224
Charla Lewis - The Roads Kidz Pastor - shares a dream she had with an interpretation and unpacks the deceit that the enemy uses against us to create a hold and imprisonment of our minds that is stealing our time, relationships and our continual development in our relationship with God. Entertainment and all its devices have been a deceitful cover up, a smoke and mirrors that we partner with to keep us from realizing the unseen and heavenly realm and partnering our faith with what God is doing. The "American Dream" has become the "American nightmare." Galatians 5 : 13 Beloved ones, God has called us to live a life of freedom. But don't view this wonderful freedom as an excuse to set up a base of operations in the natural realm. Constantly love each other and be committed to serve one another. Tongues is not about memorizing syllables - it's about making connection with Holy Spirit as our source to speak what the Father & Son are speaking. It empowers us, and gives us access to speak and pray when we do not know what to pray. It is speaking the "mysteries of heaven." Let Holy Spirit speak. Then speak what He's telling you to say.
We are invited into this prophetic season - that all the sons and daughters begin to prophecy. Everyone of us has been divinely created by God to hear the voice of God, the voice of Holy Spirit - who is the greatest evangelist and searches the heart and thoughts of God, and His thoughts will change people's lives. It's time to engage our Creator. He's calling us to full surrender. Our lack of response to the voice of God has consequences, because He has people He wants to reach through your life who comes in the power of God and operates in the ministry of reconciliation. When Holy Spirit is on our life - we have POWER, which means by definition that we have abilities, power, strength and might that we didn't have before and without Him. With Him in your life, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you, without Christ you can do nothing. Part of that “Power Package,” is speaking in tongues. When Holy Spirit comes upon you, you now have the ability to communicate with a language with God, praying the will of God that you did not have in your own natural ability. Speaking with God isn't EXTRA! Or unnecessary. Or just for certain people. IT'S BIBLICAL. We've wanted the power without a relationship with Him, it's been the temptation from the beginning. But God's desire has always been about a relationship and in His PRESENCE there is POWER. SERMON NOTES: https://www.bible.com/events/49283814 The Roads Church: https://the roads.church
Offense is a trap that holds us captive and creates casualties. You might be the recipient of offense, BUT you might be the offender. NINE WAYS OFFENSE ATTACKS 1. Starts in our MIND 2. Comes after our HEART 3. Attacks our VISION 4. Comes at the MOMENT OF BREAKTHROUGH 5. Attacks RELATIONSHIPS 6. Affects our HEARING 7. Causes UNFORGIVENESS 8. Steals our TIME 9. Affects our PERSONAL ECONOMY God has freedom for us today! We get to choose to shut the door or open the door to offense. We must use the Word of God to combat offense, and cut it off at the roots. Is there anyone you have offense against? Is there anyone you need to forgive? YOUVERSION NOTES: https://www.bible.com/events/49282008 The Roads Church https://theroads.church
Jesus wants to settle some accounts! He says 70 X 7! The practice of forgiveness comes from a place of compassion that allows us to release and forgive. Church, we get to be the carriers, the agents of forgiveness for the world to see, so we can point people to Jesus! Forgiveness in the "C"hurch has been made attractive and not very practical or useful. Forgiveness is necessary, and we've made it unnecessary. Jesus is addressing issues and showing us areas where we haven't released and forgiven people of debts, and He wants to tackle the complacency that has given us up to a place of avoiding the practice of forgiveness. How do we practice forgiveness? We must know what it looks like! Eph 4 : 31-32 We must look to Jesus - our greatest example of forgiveness! Col. 3 : 12 We must deliver forgiveness. Matt 6 : 14 - 15 21 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. 23 Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24 And when he had begun to settle accounts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. 25 But as he was not able to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and that payment be made. 26 The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, ‘Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.' 27 Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt. Where are the men after God's heart? Those who are: OBEDIENT - Submission to someone greater HUMBLE - Servant COURAGEOUS - Fighter/Warrior PASSIONATE - Worshiper A man with a heart after God - LOVES GOD! Every man wants the Goliath story, but David also danced! Everyone wants to be the warrior, but what about also dancing before the Lord and looking foolish before people? Men, we are wired by God to have a heart after His. "And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.'" Even if we know Jesus, there's more to know. The whole world has talked and debated Jesus throughout history. "Who is Jesus?" His life has had a great impact on people, greater than any other person in history. Are we satisfied to know Him as we know Him today, or do we desire to know Him deeper? Is there anything left to surrender that is in the way of knowing Him more? Is there any part of your life that His love doesn't touch? Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” Matthew 16 : 13 https://theroads.church
Unity, Stability and Maturity in The Body of Christ - God is accomplishing it through the building of the Five-Fold Ministry. Jesus gave us Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Shepherds and Teachers, representing His own ministry. We are shifting from a One-Man Ministry to a Five-Fold Ministry - the divine wisdom of God, and He is restoring it in the Earth today. It is for the equipping of the saints for the work of service for the building up of the body of Christ. We're familiar with Pastors and Shepherds. The body of Christ has been over-pastored and under fathered, which is why we have a culture of being a nursery and not an army. We have tried to build the church in our own wisdom and have built an atmosphere of immaturity in the body. God is waking us up, and changing how we have perceived church, and He's calling us back into His Word. Ephesians 4:7-16 NASB 1995 Visit Paul T. When we receive Holy Spirit, we should expect to speak in tongues. Holy Spirit doesn't take over your tongue, but does tell you what to say, giving you the words to speak out of your mouth. We have to speak what He says. First - We are filled with the PERSON of HOLY SPIRIT. THEN - Holy Spirit tells us what to say. It's Holy Spirit's job to give us the "utterance," but it's our job to do the speaking. "While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then Peter answered, “Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?” And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay a few days." Acts 10:44-48 SERMON NOTES: https://www.bible.com/events/49264907 The Roads Church: https://the roads.church
