That's right, Mr. EDSBS himself joined the show to talk about the ACC, the Hokies, and so much more. Pete and Robbie were honored to host this CFB internet legend and he did not disappoint. After picking Spencer's brain about our most winnable games in 2023, the boys went over the latest from fall camp. Seriously, this was probably the most fun show we've ever done - enjoy! Ryan Nanni, aka @celebrityhottub, joins the show today to talk Super Bowl feelings, Florida football boosters, why the Shutdown Fullcast works so well, the EDSBS extended universe, if his Eagles jacket belonged to a prisoner, and why people on the internet hate his real face. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

This Friday episode features a most special guest host in Spencer Hall of EDSBS and Shutdown Fullcast infamy. Is golf Spencer’s forte or area of interest? Absolutely not, but he’s as brilliant as they come and fits in well for a ramble on the heat, playing golf in pants, puka shell necklaces, his experiences covering golf up close, the current headline-making golf beef, his favorite college football beefs that became spectacles as Bryson vs. Brooks threatens to, and a quarterback he would have loved to see in these celebrity matches. A segment on current results devolves into his impressions of Fort Worth, Tulsa, and Denmark. Precision Pro Flashback Friday is appropriately on the godfather of Danish Golf, Thomas Bjorn, and his reputed volcanic temper, one that cost him two shots and a claret jug. Thanks to Spencer, an absolute internet and content-making idol of ours, for taking time to join us -- if you don’t already, subscribe to the Shutdown Fullcast here.
The NCAA is putting a new rule inot place allowing college football and basketball players to transfer once without having ot sit out a year. Ian isn't a fan of the new rule. He explains why. Spencer Hall joins the show in an extended edition of Something Good. He's raising money for his EDSBS Charity Bowl with all donations going to New American Pathways, helping refugees get their new lives started in America. So far the event has raised over $400,000. Texts weigh in on Aldon Smith, the transfer rule, and more. The Mariners swept their doubleheader today. They come home to take on the Astros with a record of 8-5. Most importantly though, at least to one KJR afternoon show host, the over 71.5 win total looks likely right now. Softy joins us to share his excitement.

This one's just going to be a quickie. Camps across the MAC have been opened, which means bad news for some teams have already crossed our Twitter feeds. Injuries to be had, position battles to be won — you're gonna have to wait for me to come back from vacation to unpack it all though. Until then, I'm pretty sad that edsbs.com had to shut down, but I'm excited to read through all of the archives. Yes, all. Subscribe to the show! * We're helping EDSBS raise money for an amazing charity, and we're doing it in the name of ULM. #PAPNbrand * The More You Know: Joey Lauren Adams got her start on a Married... with Children spinoff. * LET'S TALK ABOUT THE ASS END OF THE AAC: Words can't describe how magnificently bad UConn's defense was last year, Mike Houston's kind of a jerk but a great damn coach, Tulsa might be low-key the oddest job in FBS, Navy absolutely could bounce back (but it's hard to outright predict it), SMU wasn't as turnkey as we thought, and Willie Fritz ... isn't going to run the ball as much maybe? * Let's also talk about the Big 12's ESPN+ deal and what it means for both the Big 12 and ESPN's streaming future. The golden age of saving money by cord cutting ... probably isn't going to last much longer. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

We also want to take this opportunity to say RIP to Tyler Hilinski. Our hearts go out to him, his family, friends, teammates and everyone else close to him. This is such a heartbreaking tragedy to occur to someone so young. So as a staff, we wanted to say remember you are not alone. It's OK to express yourself, it's OK to be you and it's OK to ask for help. Spencer from EDSBS wrote what we are all thinking today. National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-8255
Spencer Hall, or @EDSBS as he's better known, wrote one of 2016's most talked about pieces of sports writing with his essay, "BUFFALO," a look at the majestic animal and the violence of football (it works). With the NFL Playoffs and College Football Championship upon us, we spoke to Spencer about the American Bison, and examined the moral complexity of football fandom.
No rest for the weary. The Sun Devils hit the road after a tough loss, and the new Speak of the Devils gets you ready. We kick off the new episode with one of the hottest talking points in Sun Devil circles: Todd Graham's future. 3TV's Tim Ring sits in to share some insider information on the relationship between Graham and AD Ray Anderson, and how tenuous Graham's future could be. Then we take a look back at ASU's loss to Utah, examining how they were dominated in the trenches and how N'Keal Harry dazzled. Next up we are joined by former Sun Devil quarterback Mike Bercovici to get some expert analysis into the team's quarterback play this season, how it will shape up going forward, and what the future will hold for the program. After a brisk Sun Devil Stock Report, we talk to one of the most unique voices in college football, Spencer Hall of EDSBS.com and SB Nation. To get ready for ASU's trip to Seattle, House of Sparky managing editor Kaelen Jones drops by for a film breakdown of what to expect from the Huskies, before we cap the show with our preview and predictions.
With the release of Sports Illustrated's list of the most powerful people in college athletics, Celebrity Hot Tub of EDSBS and Deadspin joins CBR managing editor Allen Kenney for a podcast to break down the list of college football's Masters of the Universe.
