Kevin is hosting the show today, as Ian has the day off. The M's had yesterday off, which was well-deserved after the last few weeks where they've outperformed almost everyone's expectations. Most of the impressive performance has been on the mound, but the offense? There are a handful of guys who have been a bit underwhelming at the plate. Which one Mariner would you like to see outperform their performance thus far this season as we head down the stretch? Nick Saban shared his thoughts on potential mega-conferences and the idea of relegation this morning on the Dan Patrick Show. Does Saban actually know what relegation is? What an intense game! After making his debut against Gerrit Cole and the Yankees last week, Luis Castillo took the mound for the first time at T-Mobile, once again facing the Yankees with Cole starting. Just like last time, Castillo proved that he is the legit ace the M's needed, but this time, Cole didn't get blown up in the first inning; one with energy and excitement building through the entire game. This was, in ways that are hard to quantify, one of the most impactful single games the Mariners have been a part of in recent history. So what exactly made this game special? We take your texts on the subject later in the hour. We also hear from Paul Sewald and Matt Festa who appeared on the station earlier today.
