In 2002, Punknews.org said this about From Autumn to Ashes… If you like your hardcore loud, fast, with floor punching breakdowns and screaming metal guitars then this is for you. If you like your softer, emotional, heart-felt tunes that make you close your eyes and think of buttercups in a field on a warm summer's day, then this is for you. If you like the two styles smashed together, violently, then stop reading and run to your local music store. From Autumn to Ashes is an American post-hardcore band from Long Island, New York. Releasing 4 full length records between 2001 and 2007, the band would then call it a day on good terms, claiming they had achieved everything they had wanted to achieve with the band. Today From Autumn to Ashes remains a part-time project, reuniting for small reunion shows on occasion much to the delight of fans. Why are so many of us critical of the way we look? Why do we attempt to find our value in our weight or in how we dress? Why are the first things we choose to see about ourselves mostly always something negative? This week we examine the topic of body image as told through the responses of our listeners. We would like to thank each and every person who wrote in! This topic is officially our most responded to topic in the shows history. We had so many responses, we had to make it a two part affair. Tune in for a huge dose of depth, courage and lessons learned. One of the fun things about doing this podcast is getting to know people a little bit better. On this episode, I got a chance to get to know Joel Staniszewski. During our conversation, I realized I booked one of his bands almost 20 years ago and saw another several times. Joel is currently the vocalist of Las Vegas based hardcore band The End of Everything. Most people from Western New York are probably familiar with Joel's work as a drummer. This includes bands like Drago, Holy Angels, and Daybreak. We also discuss touring with From Autumn to Ashes and Atreyu, current events, Buffalo Hardcore, and gambling. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/enterprise-hardcore-podcast/support

Happy Monday! We are live from Dallas, Texas! Renaldo and Bernadette are doing great! Renaldo's parents are Texas citizens now, howdy ya'll! Bernadette warns Renaldo about the woe's of raising teenager. Good thing Renaldo's boy is still so little! Let's get this show started with Autumn Warren Connolly, then Jackie Schlegel! Autumn Warren Connolly Autumn Connolly lives in the sky islands of Arizona with her three kiddos and animal babies. She is the creator of Anvil Traditional Healing, a company dedicated to restoring microbiome health through diet. Follow Autumn on Instagram @AnvilTraditionalHealing. Autumn is a self-taught vegan chef, a serial gardener and an avid believer and teacher of the powers of meditation. Power Of Imagination We love this topic! Autumn was inspired to want to talk about imagination while reading. Autumn enjoys interpreting the writers words her way, so she takes imagination into her own brain! Everything starts with imagination. A thought, an idea. It is so easy to see how uninhibited children are in imagining the world around them without being inhibited by the harsh realities. As an adult we block ourselves by thinking that our imagination won't be able to help us as adults, but that's not true. The word imagination can be read positively or negatively. From Autumn's stance, imagination is a tool that adults need to harness more often. Imagination is critical, so don't stop your brain from wandering! Child and adult brains are not that different. Imagination can be used to create a beautiful garden or piece of art, so why can you not imagine a great job and manifest it? Intention Behind Desire Just the word imagination turns the brain on! Bernadette says that Einstein said that imagination is more important than knowledge. You need imagination to think up greta ideas! Imagination is the key to unlocking newer and more creative ideas, so let your mind wander. We can alter our imagination for many different things like cooking, writing, drawing, and more. However, you can harness the power of imagination for bigger things too. Have that visualization of the bough promotion you want, or the relationship you crave. Imaginative ideas can program the subconscious mind. You can use your imagination to change your life. Change your thoughts, change your energy. Get relaxed! Relaxation makes your brainwaves slow down. When you are in a state of relaxation, your brain can be more imaginative. There is lower energetic input. Jackie Schlegel Jackie is the Executive Director for Texans for Vaccine Choice. In 2015, when legislators were led astray and filed oppressive bills that would take away parental rights and vaccine choice, Jackie Schlegel stepped up to the plate, said: "not on my watch,” and threw her hat into the political arena. In just four short years, she took a group of passionate moms and turned it into the epitome of grassroots activism, setting an unprecedented standard for the nation and even drawing worldwide attention. That fledging group of 20 is now a political action committee and educational foundation, with over 30,000 social media followers as well as 12,000+ official members who proudly align themselves with Texans for Vaccine Choice. Thanks to Jackie's endless energy and passion, this group is organized with local branches, core members, and team leaders impact- ing their schools, their communities, and their legislators. Her unshakeable dedication inspires all members to have a laser focus on their mission of protecting and advancing informed con- sent, medical privacy, and vaccine choice. COVID-19 Vaccine For Texas We are going to have to fight. Jackie says that Governor Abbott is not taking a public stance, and that is scary. Two years ago, he was fighting for parental rights and informed consent, but now, he is taking a dangerous position. Governor Abbott is not protecting Texas families! Vaccine choice is in the republican party platform,

(Editors Note: The file uploaded is an unedited cut. To skip to the discussion, look for the 15 min. marker ) This week's episode is a fantastic mashup with some great fellas: Chris and Nate are the founders of their all things creative website/podcast WriterDie.net & I was honored to be a guest host this week. We decided to follow the flow of the guys' podcast as we start with a "Top of the Moment", discuss this week's Beer of choice (chosen by their weekly guest), and the fellas even let me sing a tune. Eventually we merge into the main discussion of the Episode entitled "High School Hangups" where the 3 of us turn to one another in hopes of understanding each others teenage heroes. We took a week to listen to one album/artist of influence from our adolescence to open our ears and what we found was surprising. Analysis of Rob Zombie (Chris), From Autumn to Ashes (Nate), and the Goo Goo Dolls (myself) you'll hear how we reacted to each of our pioneers and how they opened our perspective. I hope you all enjoy, this was a great one!

Josh Newton is the guitarist for Shiner. He also formerly handled bass duties in Every Time I Die, The Damned Things, Season to Risk, From Autumn to Ashes, and many, many others. Originally from Massachusetts, Josh cut his teeth in sludge metal outfit, Glazed Baby. After he left Mass. behind, he found himself in Kansas City in the mid 90’s. He ended up playing in Season to Risk before he ultimately landed a spot in seminal space rock outfit, Shiner. When the band folded in 2001, Newton bounced around as hired gun for many years playing in various alternative and metal bands. Shiner reunited in 2012 & will play small runs here and there. A majority of his time is spent on the road as a guitar tech where he enjoys meddling with pedals and sound all the while making a nice living for himself. He has certainly been around the block a time or two, to say the least.
