If the season ended today, the Chargers would come to Pittsburgh. The Steelers offensive line has taken a leap and the running game is coming together. Chad Johnson said that DK Metcalf told him the Lions fan he went after called him a racial slur and called his mom a slur when he was conversing with the Lions fan. Tom Pelissero reported that Metcalf had previously reported the fan to the league.
In part one of this two part series, Regan Robertson puts Dr. Chad Johnson and Dr. Maggie Augustyn in the interview seat to explore how contrast becomes a teacher in dentistry. Through real patient encounters, one centered on pricing pressure and another on a deeply personal boundary being crossed, the conversation examines how dentists are shaped by moments that do not feel productive at the time, but leave a lasting imprint on how they communicate, lead, and show up for patients. These are not ideal scenarios. They are real ones.
Show Notes: https://wetflyswing.com/855B Duane Hada joins Chad Johnson for a thoughtful conversation on what actually creates trophy trout fisheries—and why stocking alone isn't the answer. Duane breaks down the importance of catch-and-release regulations, managing pressure, and letting fish live long enough to reach their full potential. Drawing from rivers like the White River and the San Juan, he explains how conservation-first thinking shapes not only fish size, but the long-term health of entire fisheries. Beyond fishing, Duane opens up about his life as an artist and how creativity, patience, and observation carry over from the studio to the river. He talks about seeing fisheries as living "gardens," the influence of Dave Whitlock on both his conservation mindset and artistic outlook, and why mentorship—on the water and off—matters just as much as catching fish. This episode is about legacy, restraint, and approaching both art and angling with intention. Show Notes: https://wetflyswing.com/855B
Inside Strategic Coach: Connecting Entrepreneurs With What Really Matters
In this special episode, Shannon Waller sits down with Program Coach Chad Johnson to explore his entrepreneurial journey, what he's learned along the way, and how he helps Strategic Coach® members grow bigger, simpler, and more rewarding businesses. Here's some of what you'll learn in this episode:Why many of Chad's early entrepreneurial ventures were short-lived.The turning point that made him get serious about building a real business. How Chad defines the entrepreneurial mindset and lives it daily. What sets Strategic Coach Program Coaches apart from traditional business coaches. Show Notes: There's value around you all the time; often, it just takes a moment of attention to see it. You can't scale a business on ambition and positive attitude alone. It's natural for entrepreneurs to want to jump to the next project, but that impulse needs to be managed. The right life partner can act as an accelerant for everything you want in life. In great organizations, everyone makes everyone else better. The work you do as an entrepreneur is closely tied to the growth you do at home. For entrepreneurs, business is not just what you do—it's part of who you are. Strategic Coach coaches are also members, so they live the tools they teach. Any new concept has to work for the coach first before it's shared with members. Freedom is often the deepest motivation for entrepreneurs. It can take time for your real-world experience to catch up with your mindset and goals. Long-term success comes from committing to a few important things, not chasing every new idea. The right coach relationship helps you turn everyday experiences into breakthroughs. It is hard to sum up the work of Chad Johnson in a snippet. Chad had an enormous impact on the post-hardcore and emo scene in the early 2000's and therefore the scene even to this day. Band like Underoath, Hopesfall, Further Seems Forever all got their start on either Chad Johnson's Takehold Records or put out songs on splits or compilations under Chad. Chad also did A&R for Tooth and Nail in the early 2000's, helping bands on the label excele. Chad is also the man behind the inception and continuance of Furnace Fest in Birmingham ,Alabama which has created both one of the scenes most iconic festivals and communities. Chad is known by most musicians and people as one of the most positive people you will ever meet, but this year was a year that almost broke Chad. Listen as we talk about Chad's story and his struggle with his own mental health in this episode.

On Off The Bench and The Stone Shields Show today we discuss the Reds crushing loss to the Pirates last night, Paul Skenes vs. Hunter Greene tonight, the latest Bengals news and more! Off The Bench is back weekdays from 10a to 11a followed by The Stone Shields Show from 11a to noon! In a gut-wrenching setback for Cincinnati's playoff dreams, the Reds fell 4-2 to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday night at Great American Ball Park, snapping their five-game winning streak and dropping them a full game behind the New York Mets for the NL's final wild-card spot. The loss couldn't have come at a worse time, with only a handful of games left in the regular season and the Reds clinging to faint postseason hopes. The game unraveled early for Reds starter Brady Singer, who imploded in the second inning, surrendering four runs on five hits—including a two-run homer from Pirates shortstop Oneil Cruz—that chased him after just 1.1 innings. Singer's command faltered, ballooning his season ERA to 3.95 and leaving Cincinnati in an early hole. Pittsburgh's Johan Oviedo, making his eighth start, steadied the ship for the visitors, allowing just two runs over five innings despite a shaky Reds lineup. Cincinnati clawed back briefly when sparkplug shortstop Elly De La Cruz crushed a 415-foot two-run homer in the bottom of the second, his second blast in as many games after ending a 43-game drought. But the Reds' offense sputtered thereafter, stranding runners in key spots, including a bases-loaded threat in the sixth snuffed out by rookie reliever Hunter Barco's debut gem. The bullpen held firm, but it wasn't enough against a Pirates squad playing spoiler. Tonight's game (6:40 p.m. ET) pits two of baseball's brightest young arms in a must-win for Cincinnati: Reds ace Hunter Greene (7-4, 2.74 ERA) versus Pirates phenom Paul Skenes (10-10, 2.03 ERA). Greene, the flamethrowing righty, has been lights-out lately, fanning 10+ in four of his last five starts, but faces a tall order against Skenes—the 2024 NL Rookie of the Year and Cy Young frontrunner—who's chasing a sub-2.00 ERA in his final outing. Expect triple-digit heat, high drama, and a low-scoring affair that could swing the wild-card fate. Amid the baseball buzz, Cincinnati sports mourns the tragic loss of Bengals legend Rudi Johnson, who died by suicide at 45 on Tuesday, per police reports. The fourth-round pick (2001) became a Pro Bowl powerhouse, holding the franchise single-season rushing record (1,458 yards in 2005) and ranking fourth all-time with 5,742 yards. Teammates like Carson Palmer hailed his "joyful presence," while Chad Johnson tweeted a heartfelt tribute. Bengals president Mike Brown called him a "dear friend" and "excellent running back." Johnson's foundation aided local causes, leaving a legacy beyond the field. RIP, Rudy—your spirit endures. Music from #InAudio: https://inaudio.org/ Track Name Holy (Trap). #813 Show Notes: https://wetflyswing.com/813 In this episode of CJ's Reel Southern Podcast, Chad Johnson sits down with Colorado guide, fly designer, and author Landon Mayer to dig deep into the art of hunting trophy trout. Landon shares how leeches became the centerpiece of his fly box, recounting the day a broken Slumpbuster pattern forever changed the way he approached big fish. The two swap stories about fishing together, the lessons passed down from mentors like Dave Whitlock, and the subtle craft of teaching casting fundamentals that can make or break a day on the water. From Colorado stillwaters to Arkansas tailwaters, Landon explains how leech patterns double as damsels, baitfish, or crayfish depending on how they're fished — a versatile key for turning followers into eaters. Chad adds his own Ozark perspective, highlighting the region's emerging sulfur hatch and how local anglers are discovering a brand-new dry-fly game for giant browns. Together, they dig into small-stream tactics, big-river strategies, and why introducing overlooked food sources — whether a micro leech or a catalpa worm — can unlock fisheries in unexpected ways. It's a rich mix of tactical tips, storytelling, and philosophy on staying a lifelong student of fly fishing. Show Notes: https://wetflyswing.com/813
