Mitch Stein In this timely and data-packed episode, Rob Harter sits down with Mitch Stein, Head of Strategy at Chariot, to unpack one of the most important—and fastest-growing—trends in nonprofit fundraising: Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs). With economic uncertainty, shifting donor behavior, and fewer individuals giving overall, nonprofit leaders must understand how to meet donors where they are. And increasingly, that's through DAFs. Mitch shares eye-opening statistics, including that nearly 20% of all charitable donations now come from DAFs, totaling $65 billion in grants in 2024 alone. He explains how DAFs work, why donors love them, common misconceptions around payout rates, and—most importantly—how nonprofits can create a clear and effective DAF strategy to increase revenue and donor engagement. If you're looking to future-proof your fundraising efforts, this is a must-listen episode. Key Topics Include: The explosive growth of Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs), with $326 billion currently held in DAF accounts Why approximately 1 in 5 charitable dollars now comes from a DAF How DAFs work and the tax advantages that attract donors Common misconceptions about DAF payout rates and “hoarding” concerns The 10x increase in average gift size when donors switch from credit cards to DAFs Practical steps nonprofits can take to build a DAF strategy How to leverage DAF Day and integrate DAF messaging into existing fundraising campaigns Mentioned in This Episode: Chariot This Episode is Sponsored By: DonorBox Links to Resources: Interested in Leadership and Life Coaching? Donor-advised funds (DAFs) are no longer a niche tool for ultra-wealthy donors—they're a fast-growing, fragmented ecosystem holding more than $326 billion in charitable assets and expanding at ~25–30% annually. In this episode of the Whole Whale Podcast, Mitch Stein, Head of Strategy at Chariot, breaks down what's really happening inside the DAF economy: over 1,400 DAF programs, millions of households using them, payout rates that consistently exceed private foundations, and a surge in contributions driven by appreciated stock and late-year tax planning. The takeaway for nonprofits is clear: DAFs are becoming a mainstream giving vehicle, not an edge case, and ignoring them means ignoring where a growing share of charitable dollars now live. We also dig into the friction problem—and why it matters. DAFs reduce the mental friction of giving by separating “how much to give” from “where to give,” but outdated workflows still create drop-off at the moment of donation. Chariot's role is to remove that last mile of friction through shared infrastructure like DAF Pay, making it as easy to give from a DAF as using Apple Pay. The result: higher conversion, larger gift sizes, and more money actually moving to nonprofits. For fundraisers, the message is practical and urgent—get DAF-ready, normalize DAF giving, and stop treating it like a rare edge case. The money is there. The question is whether your organization is easy to give to. In this new episode of The Rumors Are True Podcast, host Jeremy Alan Gould sits down with Keller Harbin, best known for his work with The Chariot, The Glass Ocean, Holy + Gold, and New Rituals. Keller reflects on his early days in heavy music and the path that led him into some of the most intense and boundary-pushing projects in the scene. The conversation explores what it was like stepping into The Chariot during a pivotal era, the pressure and purpose behind that role, and how chaos, creativity, and conviction all collided onstage and off.The episode also dives into Keller's evolution beyond The Chariot, tracing his artistic journey through The Glass Ocean and into newer projects like Holy + Gold and New Rituals. Keller opens up about creative freedom, spiritual shifts, and how his relationship with music has changed over time. He shares thoughtful insight into redefining success, staying honest as an artist, and learning how to create from a healthier and more intentional place.Throughout the conversation, Keller offers vulnerability, perspective, and stories that longtime fans will deeply connect with, while giving newer listeners a clear picture of his growth and resilience as a musician. This episode is a powerful reflection on transformation, legacy, and continuing to create with purpose long after the noise fades.Produced by Wesley Hill @thebigwesArtwork by Jared Chase Bowser @jaredchasebowserMusic by Brian Jerin R.I.P.

How then can a Jew be expected to study Torah in the same manner? He explains that the reason the Jewish people stood at Sinai “with reverence, fear, quaking and trembling” was not because of the experience of the Chariot and the angels, etc., but because of the revelation of Hashem's very Essence, “I am Hashem your G-d….” (The revelation also resulted in the experience felt by the body due to the Chariot and the angels, etc., but that was secondary.) And this revelation of Hashem occurs every time a Jew studies Torah, because “the Holy One, blessed be He, reads and studies along with him.” This is why one must study Torah in a way that it is “new.”Excerpt from sichah of 13 Tammuz 5736 For a transcript in English of the Sicha: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=06-02-2026

As one of the most popular ways of contributing to philanthropy, Donor-advised funds are quietly changing the landscape, offering both unprecedented opportunity and unique challenges for nonprofits. By understanding the psychology behind DAFs, fundraisers can understand why donors act faster, give more generously, and engage differently than through traditional channels. Join with us and explore practical strategies for organizations to meet donors where they are, optimize relationships, and unlock the full potential of DAFs as a tool for sustained impact. Mitch Stein is the head of strategy at Chariot, a financial technology company focused on Donor Advised Fund payments. After having a career of 7 years at Goldman Sachs as an investment banker, Mitch joined the nonprofit space, bringing high-impact innovation that is much needed to the landscape of philanthropy. In 2020, he founded Pond, a marketplace connecting nonprofits with tools and service providers. This experience has given him a broad, practical view of the nonprofit ecosystem which he now brings to one of the fastest-growing and most complex areas of modern philanthropy. Key takeaways from the episode: Culture is the most influential force on human behavior. Understanding culture requires a shared definition. Cultural lenses affect how we perceive and interact with the world. Social norms guide our behavior in various contexts. Fast culture changes quickly, while slow culture evolves gradually. Fundraising practices are deeply influenced by cultural beliefs. Positive experiences in giving can reshape perceptions of philanthropy. Storytelling is essential for nonprofits to connect with their audience. Small changes can lead to significant cultural shifts over time. Agency in giving is crucial for fostering genuine generosity. Astrology and Tarot from two grounded Earth signs! We're here to show you the energies so you can embrace them in your own way. The first half of 2026 shifts from 2025's stagnant waiting energy into decisive action and transformation. January through March build momentum as Neptune and Saturn move into Aries, clearing the fog and demanding that first brave step forward. February is the most pivotal month, with Saturn meeting Neptune at zero degrees Aries on the 20th, a rare cosmic reset at the origin point of the zodiac. This is preceded by a powerful solar eclipse in Aquarius on the 17th that squares Uranus, ushering in this new era! March brings a lunar eclipse in Pisces on the 3rd, clearing old patterns from the Virgo-Pisces eclipse series. The tarot journey moves from the Two of Wands (planning) through the Eight of Wands (rapid movement) to The Magician (you have everything you need), requiring emotional intelligence to stay grounded amid collective upheaval. April and May accelerate as seven planets gather in Aries, creating unprecedented energy that demands singular focus and inner trust. The Magician and Chariot cards signal there's no turning back - this is the moment to manifest quickly and discover you're not alone as parallel paths converge. While personal manifestations flourish, the collective experiences intense tension and dissolution of old systems around leadership and power. By June, the Nine of Wands acknowledges fatigue but emphasizes pacing over stopping. You're closer than you think! Jupiter's move into Leo promises that creativity, play, and human connection will carry us through, reminding us that our individual dreams create the new world we're moving toward together. Farmers don't need another polished sales pitch — they need tools that actually work when iron is hot and harvest pressure is on.In this live episode of What Farmers Want, host Dan Aberhart puts ag-tech innovation to the test in a Shark Tank–style format designed for one audience only: farmers.
Guest: Professor Edward J. Watts. The Nika riots, sparked by chariot racing factions, nearly toppled Emperor Justinian until Empress Theodora convinced him to stay. After crushing the rebellion, Justinian built the Hagia Sophiato symbolize repentance and divine connection. He also launched costly military campaigns to retake Italy and North Africa.
Winter Total Request Live 2026 begins as Tread Perilously watches an episode of Stargate SG-1 called "Thor's Chariot." When the SG-1 team receives a distress signal from Cimmeria, they return to the planet finding a Goa'uld invasion and few Cimmerians left to fight. While O'Neil and Teal'c scout out the enemy encampment, Daniel and Sam learn the secret of Thor's might. Will it be enough to defeat the Goa'uld known as Heru'ur? Will anyone be able to pronounce their new adversary's name? And will Thor prove to be as real as Ra or his son? Erik and Justin discuss their histories with Stargate and SG-1. Erik makes a surprising proclamation about the work of director Roland Emmerich. Stan Lee proves to be more formidable than any Gou'ald. Pronunciations of Stargate names come into question, as does the choice to name the planet "Cimmeria". The SG-1 cast -- which includes Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, and Don S. Davis -- gets their flowers even if Erik has a small problem with Richard Dean Anderson playing Col. Jack O'Neil. Erik doubts Beth Grant's dedication to Sparkle Motion. The Ancient Astronaut Theory proves to be an obstacle in enjoying any Stargate. The pair once again advocate for cheaper-looking sci-fi television and Erik announces a change to the Patreon.

In this episode of So Divine!, Stephanie and Megan explore the celestial landscape for January. They begin with a peek into what's ahead in 2026, including the dramatic Saturn/Neptune Conjunction in Aries, which offers a cosmic sense of a new beginning. Looking at this month's astrological inspirations, they begin by discussing Chiron stationing direct and how this may trigger our "ouch spots” as well as offer us an opportunity for healing. They talk about Venus and Mars dancing together in Capricorn, each forming potent cazimis as they oppose Jupiter in Cancer; with this, we're invited to find growth and possibility through weaving together the the feminine and masculine, love and desire. They discuss the shift of planets into Aquarius that occurs later in the month and how with their making a union with Pluto, we're brought into a sphere of intensity, encouraged to excavate what resides below the surface in service of deep transformation. Additionally, they explore this month's lunations: the Cancer Full Moon and Capricorn New Moon. Stephanie picks a Tarot card at random--the Chariot--and Megan explains how this archetype inspires us to get moving on actualizing our dreams and going after our goals using our intuition to guide us.

This week I have three stories for you. The first begins with a powerful count who sets out to rid his land of a Rebbe — and discovers that Heaven has other plans. The second starts with an unexpected blessing from the Lubavitcher Rebbe that will one day turn a life upside down in the most miraculous way. And the last opens on the streets of Poznań, where a city gathers to welcome its new Rav — unaware of the quiet wonder about to unfold. In this episode, Murray Dahm revisits Alexander's encounter with scythed chariots and unpacks some of the practical and tactical issues surrounding their historical use. From wargaming figure ratios to the use of caltrops, shield-banging, and even Roman caligae, we explore how ancient armies may have neutralised these fearsome weapons. Were chariots best used against cavalry or lighter infantry? Did ancient troops rely on noise and tight formations—or did they use more direct countermeasures? And finally, a listener asks: is there any evidence that chariot drivers dismounted before impact—or is that a modern myth? Join us on Patreon patreon.com/ancientwarfarepodcast

Could the latest cosmic sensation, 3I/Atlas, be the New Jerusalem as mentioned in the Holy Bible? Images from the James Webb Telescope reveal that this interstellar object is a shape-shifter, appearing in light as geometric and ranging from a pyramid to a curious cube formation. Some ancient texts depict that the future arrival of a deep space artifact is a large cube the size of a city or a pyramid that will position itself over the Earth and reveal the true messiah of the cosmos. This may show the spirituality of Christ's salvation and the materiality of geometric and physical forces. It appears to bridge the divide that many feel separates science from religion.
