Tales Don't Tell Themselves. Ex-Funeral For A Friend bassist, American dreaming Welshman and Gucci fashion consultant, Gareth Davies, is our guest on Episode 270 of Sappenin' Podcast! After stepping away from the bands major label line-up in 2008, Gareth had completely removed himself from music. In October 2023, he returned to the stage, for the first time in fifteen years, to play one last song with FFAF, surprising fans, at their home-town arena show in Cardiff, Wales. In this conversation, the handsome bass face exclusively reflects on the events leading to this one-off return, his original departure, unbelievable tour memories, closure and life away from the spotlight. This is his first media interview in over a decade, trusting us with stories of fatherhood, mainstream burnout, backstage pranks, sneaking his way into the band, the influential legacy of albums like Casually Dressed and Hours, hidden recording secrets, playing a basement show with My Chemical Romance, working for one of the worlds leading fashion houses, client confidentiality, his relationship with the scene, therapy, full circle moments and more!
