Poročali smo o prenovi ljubljanske tržnice, gradnji novega objekta na območju nekdanje vile Arnolda Riklija na Bledu, dogodkih ljubljanskega odbora SLS, slabši dostopnosti Krvavca v tem poletju in občinskem prazniku v Šentrupertu.

Trajnost in dostopnost za vse sta pomembni vrednoti tudi v turizmu, pravijo mladi študenti Višje šole za gostinstvo, velnes in turizem Bled. Ti dve temi so med drugim osvetlili tudi na 23. Mentorskem posvetu, dogodku, ki je pokazal tudi, da znanje zaživi, ko ga spojimo s prakso. "Kar ne vidimo, a ovira mnoge" je bil moto posveta in hkrati tudi vodilo raziskovanja in anket, ki so se jih lotili študenti te šole med preučevanjem te problematike v njihovem lokalnem okolju. In kaj so ugotovili: je Bled dostopen vsem, tudi ljudem z oviranostmi? In kako trajnostno je naravnan tamkajšnji turizem? S študenti in njihovo mentorico pa smo na Bledu govorili tudi o pomenu lokalnega in mednarodnega povezovanja. Podobo Bleda z razglednice pozna ves svet. Alpski biser že stoletja gosti kralje, predsednike in milijone turistov. A idilična podoba ima tudi drugo plat, ki izbruhne v času prometnih konic in na vrhuncu poletne turistične sezone. S prometnim kolapsom se spopada že desetletja zaradi neuslišanih obljub, ovir v lokalnem okolju in infrastrukturnih vozlov, ki jih nihče ne zna ali ne more razvezati. Temu bo namenjen tokratni Studio ob 17-ih, v katerem bomo govorili o poteku in zapletih pri graditvi načrtovane razbremenilne ceste proti Bohinju, kolesarski povezavi med Bledom in Bohinjem, ki je ena najbolj težko pričakovanih v državi, sodelovanju občine in države pri graditvi kanalizacije in prenovi cestišča ob jezeru, ki še vedno ovira promet, prometni strategiji Bleda, ki je tik pred sprejetjem, prometu na jezeru ter prvih izkušnjah po uvedbi plovnega režima. Mala Zaka sodi med najbolj zanimive in obiskane točke na Bledu. Tu poteka priljubljena pot okoli Blejskega jezera, tu se poleti kopajo domačini in turisti, Mala Zaka je tudi izhodišče za treninge veslačev. Območje je poznano kot prizorišče številnih mednarodnih tekmovanj, v veslanju, v zimskem plavanju, v triatlonu in kolesarjenju. Prenova Male Zake, financirana tudi z evropskimi sredstvi, je prinesla vrsto izboljšav, ki jih predstavlja Jernej Slivnik, predsednik Veslaškega kluba Bled. Svoje spomine na Malo Zako pa z nami deli nekdanji vrhunski veslač Jani Klemenčič, ki je osvojil prvo olimpijsko kolajno za samostojno Slovenijo. Turizem na Bledu krepi Ledena dvorana, ki na leto turističnemu biseru prinaša več tisoč prenočitev navdušencev nad športom. Približno 50 let staro dvorano, kjer med drugim domujejo hokejisti HKMK Bled so lani prenovili, tako da ima povsem novo ledeno ploskev in celovit hladilni sistem. Prenova je stala skoraj tri milijone evrov, od tega je občina Bled prek ministrstva za gospodarstvo, turizem in šport pridobila milijon evrov nepovratnih sredstev. O možnostih, ki jih prinaša prenova Ledene dvorane Bled za šport in turizem, z gosti – legendarnim hokejistom Tomažem Razingarjem, predsednikom HKMK Bled Alešem Vukeljem ter predstavnikom družbe Infrastruktura Bled Jako Bassanesejem. "Blejsko jezero je živo!" Blejsko jezero na prvi in na drugi pogled, deluje prekrasno, skoraj popolno! A pod zrcalno gladino se kaže manj idilična podoba. Že dolgo je namreč odprto vprašanje: ali je jezero res tako čisto, kot se zdi. Poznavalci pravijo, da gre za občutljiv ekosistem, ki se že leta sooča z vprašanji o kakovosti vode in posledično z iskanjem ekološkega ravnotežja. V Aktualni temi se sprašujemo, kakšno je trenutno stanje vode v jezeri, kateri dejavniki vplivajo na njeno onesnaženost in še: kaj to pomeni za prihodnost Bleda kot ene ključnih naravnih in turističnih destinacij v naši državi. Sodelujeta: strokovnjakinja za kakovost voda dr. Nataša Sovič (Agencija za okolje, Arso) in mikrobiolog dr. Gorazd Pretnar (Ribiška družina Bled).

Le site d'information camerounais raconte « qu'à sa descente d'avion, le pape Léon XIV a été salué par une foule venue en grand nombre, plusieurs heures avant l'arrivée du successeur de Pierre ». « Au-delà de l'enthousiasme populaire, précise le Bled parle, cette visite revêt un caractère historique. Léon XIV devient le deuxième pape à se rendre à Bamenda, après Jean-Paul de en 1985 ». « Toutefois le contexte a profondément évolué, remarque le site camerounais. La région est aujourd'hui marquée par une insécurité persistante liée au conflit sociopolitique qui a causé la mort de milliers de personnes (…) Le message de Léon XIV s'est voulu résolument tourné vers la paix, comme en témoigne le thème de sa visite : "je vous donne ma paix, je vous laisse ma paix "». « Sur la crise qui sévit dans les régions Nord-Ouest et Sud-Ouest, Léon XIV a fustigé ceux qui provoquent les souffrances », explique de son côté, Actu Cameroun, qui cite les propos du pape : « Les seigneurs de la guerre font semblant de l'ignorer mais il suffit d'un instant pour détruire, alors qu'une vie entière ne suffit pas pour reconstruire ». Actu Cameroun a également rencontré une habitante de Bamenda. « Elle espère (nous dit-on) que cette arrivée du Pape et sa rencontre avec le président Paul Biya et des membres du gouvernement va ouvrir une brèche pour le dialogue entre les séparatistes et les autorités pour une issue pacifique à la crise anglophone qui dure depuis près de dix ans ».  Retransmission interrompue La presse camerounaise se fait aussi l'écho d'un incident technique qui a marqué les premières heures de la visite du pape. « Un incident survenu mercredi, raconte le Journal du Cameroun, « lors de la retransmission en direct de la visite de Léon XIV au Palais de l'Unité, les spectateurs scotchés sur le réseau CRTV, (la radio-télé camerounaise) ont observé une rupture du signal, lors du discours du souverain pontife. Image figée, pas de son pendant quelque temps, alors que le pape poursuivait son discours ». À la suite de cet incident, poursuit le Journal du Cameroun, Charles Ndongo, le directeur général de la CRTV « a présenté ses excuses aux téléspectateurs, auditeurs et partenaires », évoquant « l'indisponibilité de la fibre optique, et l'instabilité du réseau internet », comme étant à l'origine de la panne.  Une version que conteste la CAMTEL. C'est à dire l'opérateur de la fibre optique, au Cameroun, la CAMTEL selon laquelle « aucune faille de réseau n'est à évoquer ». L'opérateur, « attribue ainsi le dysfonctionnement, aux choix technologiques faits par la radio télévision camerounaise, qui a décidé de ne pas choisir le réseau CAMTEL comme source principale de diffusion, à l'aéroport et au palais de l'Unité ». L'opérateur est donc mécontent et le fait savoir, « déplorant l'accusation publique et hâtive dont il a été l'objet ». Ombre au tableau Un incident que relate également Afrik.com. qui ne désigne pas de coupable mais qui s'interroge : « Incident technique ou couac diplomatique ? La CRTV et CAMTEL se renvoient la balle après l'interruption du discours papal ». Afrik.com pose également cette question : « S'agit-il d'une simple erreur humaine, d'un matériel vétuste ou d'un manque de préparation collective ? En attendant une éventuelle enquête pour établir les responsabilités, poursuit le site d'information panafricain, cet incident restera comme une ombre au tableau de la couverture médiatique de cette visite historique du Pape Léon XIV au Cameroun ».

Ela foi inaugurada em maio de 2001, cinco meses depois da fundação do projeto global, em inglês, e tem hoje quase 1,2 milhão de verbetes. O administrador e editor da Wikipédia Lusófona, Rodrigo Padula, é um dos mais experientes membros atuantes do projeto. Formado em Ciências da Computação, com mestrado pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, ele analisa os gargalos do atual cenário e fala com a autoridade de quem está no projeto há 20 anos.  “Chega aos 25 anos com um sucesso colaborativo que nenhum projeto similar alcançou. Cada vez mais, o resultado de uma busca é resolvido com as informações resumidas trazidas pelo próprio motor de busca, fazendo com que não seja mais necessário clicar nos links para obter a informação desejada. Se, por um lado, isso parece facilitar a vida do internauta, por outro, tem minado o acesso a sites tanto de jornalismo quanto de informação de referência, como no caso da Wikipédia.  Por conta do volume de informações e da credibilidade construída ao longo dos últimos 25 anos, a Wikipédia se tornou uma das principais fontes de conteúdo que alimenta as plataformas de inteligência artificial. Os textos acumulados em mais de 61 milhões de artigos disponíveis em 321 idiomas servem não só para munir as gigantescas bases de inteligência artificial com informações e dados, como também para sedimentar a linguagem desses sistemas, que cada vez mais se assemelham a uma comunicação humana natural.  “Esse problema do extrativismo de dados a gente vem enfrentando e vamos enfrentar, mas a gente não pode ser a fonte de conteúdo para alimentar esses algoritmos hoje, tornando-os úteis e funcionais, e isso matar o projeto a médio e longo prazo”, argumenta Padula.  Voluntários Outro problema trazido por Padula é a carência de voluntários. A Wikipédia Lusófona conta hoje com quase 5 mil editores wikipedistas ativos. Há cinco anos, eram mais de 10 mil. A counsellor of a support group reveals why some men choose to tolerate physical, emotional and psychological abuse in their marriages. Synopsis: On Wednesdays, The Straits Times takes a hard look at Singapore's social issues of the day with guests. Spousal abuse cases in Singapore rose significantly in 2024 to 2,136, up from 2,008 such cases in 2023, according to the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF). While official figures did not give a breakdown of these cases by gender, the defamation case of Johnny Depp against his ex-wife Amber Heard and post-Covid-19 awareness have encouraged more men to step forward, said a counsellor who runs a specialised support group for battered husbands. To find out more in this episode, assistant podcast editor Lynda Hong speaks with Josiah Yeo, a counsellor at Lutheran Community Care Services (LCCS), who started its support group for abused husbands in 2022. Mr Yeo details how one of the abused husbands in the support group was beaten with golf clubs and made to slap himself in public. The pavilions represent Plečnik's unique interpretations of the 'Primitive Hut' as an architectural form.
