Full Transcript:Hi, this is Carolyn Bradfield and you’re listening to Convey’s Micro-Cast audio series. Many companies focus on customer communication but communicating with channel partners is every bit as important because they are your customers. Communication is a second only to financial incentives as the most important tool to motivate and manage partners. Channel partner communications should be strategic, cost-effective and focus on motivation, education, and engagement.Communication in the channel should include a 3-pronged strategy: communicate to your channel, communicate through your channel and communicate for your channel. Let’s take a look at how to execute each strategy. Start with communicate to your channel.Communicating to your channel is all about providing information, training and motivation that is directed at sales partners. Information and training explain what you want the channel partner to do promote your services, upsell customers, understand the features and benefits of your products and services, and knowhow to best position them against each other and against competitors’ products. Motivational communications explain the rewards that a channel partner receives if they do what you want. That type of communication focuses on promotional activities such as incentive programs, special pricing and deals, or commission accelerators.Communicate continuously to your channel by direct messaging, and email marketing through channel outlets such as iAgent or Channel Vision, or on Convey’s master agent portals. Now let's look at communicating through your channel.Communicating through your channel means providing channel partners with customer-facing materials to get your message directly to the customer. Providing your partners with those tools gives you certain advantages. They allow you to maintain a consistent positioning of your products in the market and against competitors’ products You now have a message that reinforces your brandYou are helping channel partners sell your products and services because you did the hard work for them by creating the tools. If you communicate through your channel, the materials you provide should be simple, easy to access, and easy to deliver to the customer. You should allow for co-branding so that the partner can add their company and contact information. Here are some common tools that partners need from you to accelerate their sales: Product PDFs, data sheets, and 1-page overviews that can be emailed or printedPromotional kits that give partners the tools to feature you on their website, in social media posts, and other literature they use. These kits typically have digital versions of your logo, product photographs or illustrations, sample copy, and other graphics about your offerings. Marketing campaigns developed for the partner so they can email prospects or customers and generate inbound demand.Add marketing development funds (MDF) to help sales partners advertise, use digital marketing, and launch other promotional activities for your products. Make sure to attach strings to the MDF funds that come with provable activity and messaging that you control. Now let’s look at the last one, communicate for your channelThe most valuable commodity a channel partner can get from you other than training and marketing help is a hot sales lead. Use your company’s marketing resources and automation to generate inbound demand, then deliver leads to partners. Leads elevate your value to partners and reward those individuals that are able to convert prospects into customers. Make sure that there is a process in place to deliver the leads, ensure that the partner int
--------------------- FULL TRANSCRIPT --------------------- Hi, I’m Pascale Gibon and welcome to episode 80 of the Everyday Life Balance Show. In today’s podcast I am going to cover self-improvement and development. The question I would like to answer is: Does self-improvement and development really work? Of course, as Personal Development and Transformational trainer and speaker I will be very bias and say that yes self-improvement and development does work. However, there are times when you might want to throw in the towel and give up altogether because you feel, no matter how hard you try, that you are going backwards instead of going forward. You might have come across personal development as the result of a trauma in your life you are trying to overcome and better understand, or the desire to improve your life and reach your highest and truest potential. Whatever the reason may be, you feel that you are going backwards rather than forward sometimes because your subconscious mind is filled with memories and beliefs that you don’t even know you have consciously. Don’t give up learning and growing! It is when you dig deeper, you choose to solve your workbook of life or the life’s problems or challenges that tend to resurface that you realise it is the memories that resurface you are to let go of. For example, if you were told at school that you would be up to no good and you had no future. The memory of this particular event stays in your subconscious mind and would resurface each time you feel you are not good enough to face a particular challenge. In fact, people who’ve had such an experience at school may act in 2 ways: Either defy the teacher, better themselves and achieve success in their life or Believe their teacher that they are not good enough for the rest of their life. The point I would like to make here is that self-improvement and development is not a quick fix it is ongoing and life-long. The mistake that other people make when they have a breakthrough is to believe: “That’s it.” Unfortunately, life is full of experiences which create good and bad memories, which means that the same challenge you faced probably a year ago might resurface because the memory you have related to the problem you must solve will resurface and has not been dealt with completely. This memory is of course attached to a particular emotion. Suffering is nothing more than a memory which generates an emotion that is uneasy to bare and handle. Like the memory of feeling humiliated by your teacher in the class room in front of other classmates. One key solution is to meditate on the emotion or the energy in motion and discover what belief is attached to the emotion or the memory that resurfaces. Once you know, you can change the limiting belief into an empowering one. In addition, accepting the memory and its accompanying emotion instead of resisting it will lessen its power. ........................... FREE RESOURCES ………………………. --------------------- FULL TRANSCRIPT --------------------- Hi, Happy new year to you and all of our listeners, I wish you joy, love, good health and a lot of success and abundance in 2019. My name is Pascale Gibon and welcome to episode 78 of the Everyday Life Balance Show podcast. I started the new year in high gear; a high level of energy and my intention is to keep it up throughout the year. I believe that every year gives us the opportunity to grow, to do things differently and to make things happen. I want to share with you in today’s episode 3 ways that you can grow and make a difference in your results this year: Step #1: By doing things differently Step #2: By doing the things that work Step #3: By introducing something new Implementing these 3 steps in your life require a great level of awareness and self-reflection. I you feel stuck right now I recommend that you listen to episode 76: “How to Set Goals For The New Year Review” so that you can get unstuck. Step #1: Doing things differently Are you clear about what you want to do differently in 2019. This relates to the lessons you learnt in 2018 you choose to grow from. For example, I want to be more productive this year. As a high performer I put, of course, a great emphasis on excellence or the commitment to completion. I love to be creative and I choose to serve more this year the people who want and need my help. Step #2: Doing things that work Are you clear about what worked for you in 2018 and you want to carry on doing? One thing that worked for me is being better organised and taking immediate action. Step #3: Introducing something new Are you clear about the new thing or things you would like to introduce in your life so that you can live your best year yet? The thing that comes to mind for me is to build a community of people who want to make a difference in the world. Get clear about what you want to create this year. Clarity will help you overshadow any confusion, fear or procrastination. I encourage you to spend some time today or this week answering and reflecting on the 3 steps for growth this year: Step #1: what do you want to do differently this year? Step #2: What worked for you in 2018 you want to carry on doing? Step #3: What are the new things you want to introduce in your life so that you can live you best year yet? I hope that you enjoyed today’s episode. As always remember now is your time to transform your life one step at a time. I look forward to connecting with you next Monday, take care and lots of love. ........................... FREE RESOURCES ………………………. In this episode, I introduce the Ankeny Podcast and what I hope to do with the episode. I highlight a number of local Ankeny Businesses, People, and Events. Here are some links from this week's episode https://ankeny18th.extremebodyshaping.com/ http://cafe-diem.com/ https://www.firefliesaglow.com/ https://www.iowachiroclinic.com/ https://www.weestees.com/ http://www.firetrucker.com/ Full Transcript: Hi, welcome to the Ankeny Podcast I'm Tony Guerra and Ankeny nonfiction author professor and triplet dad I'm bringing you the people places and events in Ankeny Iowa and you can find past episodes and links at Ankeny podcast.com welcome to the show Who am I I'm Tony I came here from Washington DC in Baltimore I met my wife who's from Ankeny and we lived in Iowa City for a year but I've lived in Ankeny for almost 10 years now and my daughters are about to turn seven so they're at that age that they can self entertain for a bit give me some time to do the podcast and and this summer I'm gonna be launching the Ankeny podcast which highlights the businesses people in places in Ankeny Iowa I've been podcasting for two years but I've started my own podcast last December that podcast the pharmacy leaders podcast it's about 15 to 25 thousand downloads a month and it's super niche it's just really for pharmacists and people interested in pharmacy but I found that I wasn't really talking to the people that were in my own town and that was a little bit disconcerting to me so I thought boy that'd be really cool to just start another podcast and but I know how to do it so I'm gonna start talking to the people in my neighborhood that really helped me out so I'll probably broadcast from cafe X that's right next to the trail point aquatic and Wellness Center it's about 50 yards from my office where I teach um I teach chemistry and pharmacology down d-mac in Ankeny and I also teach a chemistry and Newton in the fall in the spring but it was barrels last November where I kind of signed up again and and just kinda got back into it and the Farrell's though people that we know but we go back we're like this is where you meet your neighbors you're like oh my gosh where do you live you live right down the street and you don't realize that your neighbors because you know we're so busy and so much often we come home and we just go right in our garage so it just kind of dawned on me that maybe I think they'll start talking to other people and ice talked to Steph Wilson who's the owner of the Farrell's ankeny north and Farrell's Ankeny South and if you don't know Farrell's if you've ever seen people running down 18th Street between the come-and-go and northeast Elementary those are the members doing their 10 weeks and the first day or just before the first day then at five weeks into ten weeks you do a mile run and you'd be amazed the improvement is exponential but I'll be talking to Stephanie Wilson in a future episode who owns that and then dr. Aaron dr. Sean and dr. Vicky at the Iowa chiropractic clinic on 1st Street you know I want to thank them they keep me running I just I ran the Nashville half a month ago and then the Drake half last week but just kind of keeping me from getting too far off so that I can keep running anyone who's a runner knows that it's not if you're gonna get injured you do but certainly minimize it by going to those guys and then I met someone from ways teas who I was like oh my gosh so we need a Mart market to market shirts for our run coming up here in a couple weeks actually so eight of us from d-mac professors and people are working at rail point come together to run 75 miles from way I can't remember the starting point that's bad I've been there two times but we come down to downtown Des Moines but I really appreciate we's tees for helping us out there and it was really kind of serendipitous I I talked to Stephanie Wilson about coming on the show from Farrell's and then she's like oh you should come to this business group just talk to them for a little bit about podcasting and then I was like oh my gosh well we need t-shirts and we just need them and you know I think it was like two or three weeks and we need custom t-shirts for our team so it's just kind of cool that that connection happened but if you know somebody that details cars that's where I need some help both of our cars well I'll just leave it at we have three six year olds our cars could use some work but the best way to actually get in touch with me is on facebook at tony farm d1t oh and yph ARMD one or you can email me at a a gue RRA at DMACC DM acc edu I'll get an Ankeny podcast email address soon enough but those are good places to get in touch with me if you know somebody that is an entrepreneur that would like to come on the show I'd love to talk to them there's no cost to come on the show my revenue comes from the books I'm an author and I have seven books on Amazon so I usually have a little commercial about my pharmacology books or chemistry books whatever it is and that's how I support the show so I I'll just bring a microphone and laptop down I mean I'm in Northeast Ankeny so it's never more than a 10-minute drive to wherever you're at in terms of events this was what really prompted me to start the show because we went to the Ankeny 's authors fair and the only reason I seen that it was gonna happen was because I happened to go to Kuykendall and return a book and then I saw oh wow that's on Saturday it's two days away at the Pinnacle Club at Otter Creek and I my wife I think had to work that Saturday so I took my daughters down there and it was really cool because you'll hear our three six year olds coming in and there and I wasn't sure you know what authors were gonna have books we had but there were a number of kids that were I wanna say 12 and 14 two of them and my daughter's engaged with them bought books from them and they were just kind of really inspired to see that these authors were so young so Zoe Olsen I think she's 12 year old and she wrote Harry and Larry tale of two Canaries and puppy days and then Elijah Olsen the stick book family the stick family book he's 14 and we have those books in our house so but it's just cool that they're on Amazon too and and that you can buy the books and the thing about the podcast is that my pharmacy leaders podcast actually goes to a hundred countries or a hundred countries are listening to it so it's I think it's called glocal where you act globally but work locally so I've talked to a very successful business owner and I said wow you know but it must be really tough to get your items to these other countries and things like that and he's like no the the u.s. absolutely wants you sending things out it's getting things in that's tough so in terms of exporting you know maybe you think your market is here but you know for those for that group of young authors your reach could be global I mean it's there's kids everywhere in the world and the same thing with a number of the businesses in Ankeny while you know you serve us as that are in Ankeny that really the the opportunities are way out there I'm one of the best-selling books in the UK and also in Australia especially Australia because they're an island and they don't really get it's really expensive to get product there so a lot of times this print on demand that we have now makes it a lot easier to get items to them so again opportunities I think around the world in terms of business so just really really cool the the podcast is just a really really cool medium to kind of have it's kind of a cross between radio and talk show and then in terms of events I got to go to Drake Relays last night saw Ankeny Centennial Ankeny high compete in the four by one I didn't get to see too much else after that but again you know I'm so busy with the kids I kind of want to do this show just so I know when things are happening so you know we'll talk about Summerfest certainly when that's coming up in July I know fire trucker has a bunch of rides a lot of what I'll talk about probably is gonna have to do with riding and running as well and then of course the Ankeny optimist club has their Ankeny 5k that Sunday July 15th Prairie Ridge Aquatic Center so I want to make sure that I don't miss those events but also that I'm again connecting with people that are going to be at those events so this is just a little bit of an introduction what I'm hoping to do with the Ankeny podcast again please get in touch with me if you want to be on the show or if you have any comments or events that are coming up please let me know and I'll put it on there we're gonna start with at least a weekly podcast I usually probably gonna come out on Friday or the weekend just because that's usually when we kind of figuring out what we want to do and then we'll kind of go from there support for this episode comes from the audio book memorizing pharmacology a relaxed approach with over 9,000 sales in the United States United Kingdom and Australia it's the go-to resource to ease the Pharmacology challenge available on audible iTunes and amazon.com in print ebook and audiobook
When I first came across Circa, the blog of the North Carolina Museum of Art (NCMA), I could immediately tell that they recognized the amazing potential of the blog platform. With its weekly schedule, high-quality stories, rich media, and even its own name, Circa is far more than a museum...blog. I spoke with Karen Kelly, the Senior Editor at NCMA. She has been managing NCMA’s blog since it was relaunched as Circa. We talked about the role of the museum’s blog, how she gets participation from a wide array of museum staff, and how she manages to keep it all organized and consistent. **FULL TRANSCRIPT** Hi, and welcome to What’s On. I’m Nick Faber, Director of Content Strategy at Cuberis. My guest today is Karen Kelly, senior editor at the North Carolina Museum of Art. And we’re going to be talking about the museum’s blog. In my job, I spend a lot of time looking at museum websites, and one pain point that I often find is the museum blog. I did an unscientific study for an article we wrote a few months ago, and out of 100 museum websites I looked at, only 51 had blogs. 8 of those hadn’t been updated in over a year. I could just imagine someone sitting at their desk, asking, “What should I write today?” And I guess if the answer is unclear, it’s easier to write nothing at all. Which is a shame. Your museum is full of more stories than you can fit in your physical space, and a blog is the easiest solution for telling them online. But without any strategic focus or planning, the blog can become an afterthought. When I first came across Circa, the blog of the North Carolina Museum of Art, or NCMA, I could immediately tell that they recognized the amazing potential of the blog platform. With its weekly schedule, high-quality stories, rich media, and even its own name, Circa is far more than a museum...blog. I spoke with Karen Kelly of NCMA. She’s a writer and editor and has been managing NCMA’s blog since it was relaunched as Circa. She talked about the role of the museum’s blog, how she gets participation from a wide array of museum staff, and how she manages to keep it all organized and consistent. First, I asked her about her position of Senior Editor at the museum. KAREN: Well, as you say, I work as a writer and editor at the museum and I'm positioned at the nexus of several departments. Of course, marketing and publications, and interpretation and curatorial, and also membership and development. So, juggling a lot. If there's a baseball analogy--which there isn't--but if I had to come up with one it would be shortstop, third base coach, catcher, batboy, and groundskeeper. A lot of groundskeeping. So how does the blog fit into that? I work with an associate editor--I have to--who is priceless. So what comes across an editor's desk at a museum is anything from exhibition scripts to the humble business card. Beautifully designed catalogs to restaurant menus and anything that we produce that has text on it. So I collaborate with teams on creating content, and also refining content, and joining in on those conversations about how to communicate to the public in the most effective way. The blog is a part of that, and also a part of our marketing scheme, but it's very Janus-faced. It looks both at how can we create content that extends the mission of our exhibition, but also how do we draw people to our exhibitions, and I think a blog post can do both. NICK: You mentioned helping to fulfill the mission of the exhibitions, how does that fit into the overall mission of the museum? KAREN: So it's part of our marketing campaign, but it's integrated into our exhibition goals and our marketing goals. Our goals for our permanent collection, and our goals for getting folks to the museum, but also informing them and luring them to the museum. I don't think we could sustain the blog if it weren't integrated. And it came about as the direct result, I'm frank to say,
