Here's something you can count on: When you step away from the world, the flesh, and the devil, they're going to want you back. We just finished our series on True Transformation, and the sort of radical changes to our lives that happen when we grow closer to the Holy Spirit through fasting, prayer, and the Sacraments. Those changes are sure to draw the enemy's attention. Our growth in holiness angers the devil, and he'll do whatever he can to try and slip you up. But no matter how hard he might try, we don't need to fear him or anything he throws at us. The truth is that the devil has no authority over us — unless we give it to him. Join John and Victor in the pew this week as they talk about the realities of spiritual warfare and how to avoid dancing with the devil. Her story is a vibrant reminder that healing isn't about fixing—it's about discovering the power that's already within you. Tune in for a conversation that's equal parts empowering, entertaining, and soul-stirring.
We talked last week about prayer, and how to start building up a solid prayer life. It's no easy feat; even the greatest of saints have had difficulties in their prayer lives. If we want to experience the True Transformation we've been talking about in this series, how do we sustain it? As Catholics, we are blessed to have the Sacraments, the most effective way to receive God's grace. The Sacraments are an outward sign of God's love for you. They are gifts that He died for you to receive. Join John and his co-host, Victor Adams as they dive into the Sacraments, how they have sustained transformation in both of their lives, and how they will do the same for you. The Holy Spirit is at the heart of everything we've talked about so far in this True Transformation series. It's the Holy Spirit who gives us the strength to fast, the desire to pray, and every grace that flows from the Sacraments. And yet, when we decide we want to make a change and seek to be transformed by God, we so often try to take it all on ourselves, and we can become self-reliant. Jesus didn't want that for us; He told us He'd send the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, to give us the power and peace that we need — if we let Him. Join John and Victor as they talk about the ways in which the Holy Spirit has ushered true transformation into their lives, and how you can do the same. We are in the midst of a series about True Transformation, and we kicked it all off last week talking about fasting. While fasting is one of the great gifts of the Church that can help us to elicit change, it's never going to reach its potential unless it is yoked with a solid prayer life. They are two sides of the same coin. Whenever you see fasting in the scriptures, prayer is not far behind. One allows the other to bear lasting fruit. The problem for so many of us, though, is that we don't have a meaningful prayer life. Sure, we go to church and we check the boxes, praying while at Mass or before meals, but so many of us just haven't made establishing and growing our prayer life a regular priority. It's just the truth. If we want to become the men that God calls us to be, then we have to build an intimate relationship with Christ through prayer. Listen in this week as John shares about the importance of building a powerful life of prayer and the effect it can have on sustaining lasting change. Today I get to share a fascinating conversation with Territa Chambers. Territa joins us from Charlotte, North Carolina and is a delightful woman who loves to read, learn new things, craft, and be with friends and family. She is married to Terry Jr. and they have 3 young adult sons. Territa has been practicing as a licensed counselor and transformational coach since 2016. She has a Masters Degree in Clinical Christian Mental Health Counseling from Gordon-Conwell and is currently working on a PhD in Health Psychology. Today, Territa dives into some territory that was new and unfamiliar to me - we talk about disorder eating as a subcategory of eating disorders. This opened my eyes and made me look at my relationship with food in a whole new way. We also look at our ethnic heritage as black and white women and how the body image and eating habits of North American culture today find their roots in colonial times. We pick up today's conversation as Territa shares about coming to know the Lord and experiencing huge life transformation for the first time at age 23. Dr. Tim Walsh from Northstar Regional Treatment and Recovery joins the show to share how we can renew our spirit, soul, and body through Christ. He explains that we do this by understanding that we were created to be in relationship with the Lord, that our flesh is not who we truly are, and through discovering that our purpose is ultimately more than fulfilling our wants and needs. Many people believe that reaching a goal will change their life. But that's actually an illusion. A goal gives your life direction, but the actual transformation comes from the inside—you have to BECOME the person who reaches the goal. Inner transformation doesn't come from getting the house, the car, the money, the new relationship, or […] The episode True Transformation Comes From Within first appeared on The Successful Mind Podcast.
Josiah Novak is a fitness force to be reckoned with. Founder and creator of his fitness coaching community and platform True Transformation he not only talks the talk of fitness but walks it as well. IAMACOMEBACK has recently partnered with Josiah to build out a fitness vertical within our world based on his wealth of knowledge and expertise. Today's conversation talks about Alcohol and fitness and how they are truly incompatible. Alcohol is not a performance-enhancing drug on any level, and if you really do a cost-benefit analysis of it... There are no justifiable health benefits. If health and fitness are important to you it's time to have a serious conversation about when and where alcohol fits in your life and fitness goals... If at all. Thank you Josiah for spending time with us and for making a positive impact on the world through your coaching and guidance. -IAMACOMEBACK #mindset #motivation #podcast #fitness #alcohol #drinking #highperformance #coaching #fitnessmotivation #performance
What is up, sister friend! As I was reflecting on everything I shared this past Tuesday, including the time management tips and productivity strategies that helped me get to new levels in 2023, I also reflected on the things that held me back in 2023... I realized these limiting beliefs are the very lies my clients (and even my friends!) subscribed too. There are TWO limiting beliefs that I really believe need to be left behind in 2023. They aren't overtly negative, but they can lead to negative habits and feed the cycle of overwhelm you're so desperately trying to end. So, if you've struggled to master time management, boost your productivity and truly prioritize what's important to you, this episode is for you. I know your productivity will skyrocket and you'll become so much better at time management when you leave these two limiting beliefs behind. Ready? Let's go!

Mark Alberti joined us in the studio to talk with us about the incredible transformation that God has worked in his life even after his moment of salvation. Mark was raised in California by a single mom. Though he did not grow up in a Christian home his mom would occasionally send he and his sister out to church. In high school Mark describes doing the "high school thing" of having fun and getting into trouble but in the back of his mind he often wondered what would happen when he died. He would lay in his bed at night plagued by that question. Mark married his high school sweetheart, and they soon started a family. Shortly after this Mark believes that the Holy Spirit really began to work on him though he didn't know it at the time. He was feeling prompted to pray often and a relationship with some neighbors eventually led to Mark and his wife coming to know the Lord. Mark describes that from the moment of salvation he felt like a changed man. Mark and his wife ended up having four children by the time they were 25 years old. You'll get to hear about Mark's involvement in foster care and his heart for disabled children in this conversation too. He began a career in law enforcement and worked for many years to protect his community. What Mark was very passionate about us hearing in this conversation is the incredible transformation God worked in his life. Though he came to know the Lord in his early 20s he felt he didn't fully grasp the depth of God's grace and love. 40 years later he came to understand that, and it changed everything. There is such a sincerity and earnestness in what Mark describes about the transformation he experienced. This is a wonderful conversation about the work God continues to do on us!Romans Study: https://www.jesuswalk.com/books/christ-power.htmWould you please subscribe and leave us a review? This will help our podcast reach more people! We'd love it if you'd share this podcast with your friends on social media and beyond. Join us next Wednesday to hear another story of God's faithfulness!
