We are back fully rested and raring to go on this first episode of the new year. Your intrepid hosts place a friendly wager on the future of a game and Jason waxes poetic about Skyrim. Steven is real proud of his Kill/Death ratio in MW3 and gets angry at a few of the other games he played. Plus we have all the news of December. Games mentioned in this episode include Goldeneye: Reloaded, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Beyond Good & Evil HD, Ys Seven, Gears of War 3, Pinball FX 2, Outland, and Renegade Ops. A handful of Indie Games start the show with Avatar Trivia Party, Itza, Elfsquad7, Oozi: Earth Adventure Ep. 2, VolChaos, Orbitron: Revolution, and Dragons vs Spaceships. Sean takes a look at the XBLA take on an old favorite with Scene It? Movie Night and Craig and Sean both get nostalgic with Voltron. Jeremy plays Disneyland Adventures wrong, Sean gives an update on Saints Row: The Third, Jeremy continues his adventures in Skyrim, Craig has some problems with Goldeneye: Reloaded, and Jeremy not only has a hard time getting into Assassin's Creed: Revelations, but is probably playing it wrong as well. The show closes with a glimpse into the life of Jeremy's Skyrim character with the first episode of our new segment, The Pax Chronicles! E-mail us at comments@signedinpodcast.com! It’s episode 26 and, like a kid with a hernia, Tim won’t stop talking about Modern Warfare 3. This time he’s played it on PS3. He tried to play GoldenEye: Reloaded but got lonely. Jason played Assassin’s Creed: Revelations (it’s pretty great), and everybody loved a bit of Rayman: Origins. Jason ate some Jonah Hill crow after seeing MoneyBall, and Tim didn’t eat much at all after seeing Salt ‘N Pepper live (now with 50% more hotpants!).
It’s our 25th episode and we kick off with a Batman: Arkham City reminder. From there it’s into Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, GoldenEye: Reloaded, Halo: Combat Evolved, Saints Row: The Third, Need For Speed: The Run...basically a lot of games with colons. From there we go into news that is mainly just conjecture, talk disease with Contagion and I Am Legend and then generally digress.
In a surprise turn of events Sean opens the show with a few Indy Games with Invasion and Robot Platformer 2. Craig spends some more time with BurgerTime World Tour and checks out the new release Fusion Genesis. Sean takes a look at the demo for Disney Universe, Craig has a special message from some of the Batman: Arkham City game designers, Sean jumps head first into Saint's Row: The Third, Craig and Jeremy look at the upgraded Goldeneye: Reloaded, Sean and Jeremy run through World War 3 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and Jeremy loses all his time to Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. At the start of the show we take a look at a few notable Indie Games including Castle of Pixel Skulls, No Pain No Brain, DLC Quest, and Escape Goat. Jeremy offers a bit more info on Dungeon Defenders, Craig goes on an XBLA run with Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone, War of the Worlds, and BurgerTime World Tour, and Sean and Jeremy give their thoughts on the latest from Pinball FX2 with Paranormal. Jeremy also took a look at the Saints Row: The Third Initiation Station, the GTA V trailer is discussed, Craig breaks it down with Dance Central 2, and Jeremy and Sean injure themselves with Kinect Sports: Season Two. Jeremy has some quick thoughts on Battlefield 3 and Goldeneye Reloaded and Craig joins the Batman: Arkham City party. E-mail us at comments@signedinpodcast.com! This week's issue of PB & Jason brings lots of news and lots of opinion! First up, there's some talk about GoldenEye: Reloaded, the upgraded port of the Wii game inspired by a N64 classic title, which was developed by Rare. Following that, there's my long-winded perspective on Nintendo's choice to localize Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 rather than it's upgraded version, Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 Professional. The news opinion segment of PB & Jason concludes with a little bit of talk about StarFox 64 3D and the newest Namco 3DS title, Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions. In the second half of the podcast, I contrast Ms. 'Splosion Man and Bastion, and eventually move on to an unsettling reality: Ms. 'Splosion Man, a game Destructoid has given a 9.5 on a 10-point scale, features a cameo appearance by Destructoid's mascot, Mr. Destructoid. Tune in next week, same PB & Jason time, same PB & Jason place!
