The agents entered the burrows to find a city beneath a city with an entire society functioning with good people and a sense of community, even though they were clearly suffering. At the shield generator, Damien recalled a phrase that had been used by the Flayed Man regarding Talos Ivo, and suggested it might be the password to the generator. The fact that it worked suggested that Talos Ivo and the events on Arcturus IV were connected to the situation in the Hawkstar system. They lowered the shield power just enough to pass through with some difficulty without setting off alerts that the shield had been altered, and made their way back to the main thoroughfare. They ordered everyone to evacuate, but as everyone started running, a massive booming wave rushed towards them, taking out the lights in the tunnels. The Fellowgroup faced the Ford of Bruinen, the final obstacle between them and the safety of Rivendell. Guy threw off a few of the pursuing Ringwraiths by shooting Yolo's bell into the trees, while Yolo encountered a terrifying vision of a great eye. Meanwhile, Adam secured the chain crossing the river, Tyler waded in but became blinded and deafened by the rushing water, and Del tried to get to Tyler but slipped. The troupe faced off against the terrifying Ringwraiths! After Guy's arrow missed its target, he took off with the hobbits to get them out of harm's way. As the days passed with no new missions, the Inquisitorial band added their personal touches to the chapel and created new daily rituals. Solomon's health improved and he became accustomed to his new legs, Damien created new purity seals and taught the group how to fight alongside a psyker, Judge Rex led them all through Arbites meditations, and Morgan surprised the crew with random tasks at random hours to simulate the unexpected situations they were likely to face. For four days, CL053T worked on Solomon, to save his life, as Solomon was stuck in a bizarre dream state. When he awoke, his body was covered in scars, his right eye had been replaced with an augmetic, his legs were clearly not his own and had been gen-hanced. The troupe settled in to try get a good night's sleep before meeting Gandalf the next day. Del was afraid, so she slept on the floor in Tyler's room, Tyler realized he could only sleep when he was wrapped in the dead ranger's cloak, Guy struggled to fall asleep because his newly-acquired darkvision wouldn't let him have total darkness, and Adam found nothing interesting about the silver tree-and-stars ring he took from the dead ranger, so he went right to sleep. She chose the latter and CL053T got to work. Judge Rex asked Morgan to accompany him to interrogate Damien, but upon seeing Damien, Morgan ordered the Judge out of the room. Morgan then spoke with Damien of her knowledge of the deamon Kestrel, and told him that he still had work to do for the Emperor and was still of use to the Inquisition. Damien left to read prayers aloud over the comms and a frustrated Judge Rex sought out a drink. Morgan told Rex that she would be the one to decide if Damien needed to be put down, but promised she would ask the Judge to deal the final blow. With Walker down and the troupe out of immediate danger, Guy respectfully looted the elf who died for him, and Adam disrespectfully looted the ranger. The troupe learned that the two hobbits were the ringbearer, Yolo Took, and his butler, Frodo Baggins, but they needed to hide until they could meet up with Gandalf the following night. The Judge immediately began questioning Damien, but Damien just wanted answers of his own, so the Judge left Rex 2 to guard the psyker and went to find Morgan. The elf who had approached Guy earlier came to Guy's defense, but was run through by Walker's sword, Adam convinced Snoopwise to join in the fray, but he too was swiftly taken out, and Tyler used the mysterious locket to bring Del back from the brink. Amidst the chaos, the ringbearer disappeared, but Tyler managed to protect the other hobbit from the surrounding brawl. A malevolent tree put everyone except Tyler to sleep and began pulling them into its trunk! As they awoke, Guy set the branches on fire, Tyler injured himself badly getting Del free, and Del sacrificed her cell phone to wedge open the trunk just enough to grab Adam's hand, but the tree wouldn't let him go. Comedy troupe Wet Change met their strange Santa-like saviour, Tom Bombadil, who invited them to his home before vanishing in a puff of butterflies. Before heading out, the troupe scoured the crypt for loot and took stock of their fighting experience. Guy knew some taekwondo, Adam knew some karate, Del took a semester of archery, and Tyler found a locket that made him feel a bit safer. Del used her phone's compass to direct them to the river Withywindle and Bombadil's house, but when they arrived at the river, all except Tyler fell into a deep sleep and were grabbed by willow branches. The sketch comedy troupe, Wet Change, was performing at Edinburgh Fringe when suddenly they were engulfed by mist. They emerged from the foggy swirl of leaves onto a forest road. They soon met a friendly and welcoming merchant, who was immediately slain by a terrifying cloaked figure on horseback. Del, Tyler, Adam, and Guy fled through the woods and sought shelter inside a crypt, only to find it was already occupied by a malevolent wight. They fought for their lives until they were rescued by a jolly rhyming man named Tom Bombadil.
