Jets Talk 24/7, Matt O'Leary, and GreenBean discuss the firing of Head Coach Adam Gase, potential replacements, and all the rumors swirling around the New York Jets!
Monty & Jake are talking NFL Playoffs! The Philadelphia Eagles and Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson caused shock and outrage by pulling starting QB Jalen Hurts, thus handing the Washington Football Team the NFC East and a Playoff spot, while keeping the New York Giants OUT of the Playoffs. Did the Philadelphia Eagles throw the game to improve their NFL Draft positioning? The Chicago Bears made the NFL Playoffs, by losing, and Monty says no matter what, Bears Coach Matt Nagy and General Manager Ryan Pace should be fired after the season. Who is going to win the Super Bowl? Should the Arizona Cardinals fire Kliff Kingsbury? There is a lot of talk they may do just that! The guys discuss their favorites after the NFL Playoffs were set. Are the Green Bay Packers truly the NFC's best? The Cleveland Browns made the Playoffs, are all the questions about Baker Mayfield 's future now answered? Should the Los Angeles Rams start Jared Goff or John Wolford? How good are the Seattle Seahawks? They barely beat the San Francisco 49ers to close the season, are the Seahawks good enough to compete for a Super Bowl? Can Tom Brady lead the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a Championship? Plus it's "Black Monday" in the NFL, the New York Jets were first to fire their Head Coach Adam Gase, who is next? Steph Curry went CRAZY dropping 62 points, that was fun, but the Golden State Warriors are not good! Paul George and Devin Booker got heated as the Los Angeles Clipper knocked off the Phoenix Suns, after the game Paul George said he is tired of the trash talking about last season, did Devin Booker go too far? Find out what he said and the reaction to it. The Utah Jazz got an easy win over the San Antonio Spurs, have they turned a corner now? Did Donovan Mitchell get out of his early season slump? Is Bojan Bogdanovic a legit #2 option? Is James Harden out of shape? The Houston Rockets got back to 500, without James Harden, and have lost 2 of 3 with Harden, who is averaging 37 PPG. Should the Rockets trade Harden? Are they better without him? John Wall has been good for the Rockets, but can the Rockets trust Wall to stay healthy? BYU QB Zach Wilson declared for the NFL Draft, was it the right choice? Add Zach Wilson to Dax Milne, OL Brady Christensen, S Troy Warner, and DL Khyiris Tonga who are all headed for the NFL Draft, so where does BYU Football go from here? Donald Trump called the Georgia Secretary of State and asked him to "find votes" and some are now calling for the House of Representatives to open impeachment proceedings against President Trump. Should they? Oh by the way, the Georgia Senate Election is tomorrow ...can the Republicans keep control of the Senate? Can the Democrats hand President Joe Biden control of both houses of Congress?

After weeks of speculation that there was a rift between New York Jets General Manager Mike Maccagnan and Head Coach Adam Gase, it's now clear that both men were not on the same page as the organization released Maccagnan from his role as general manager. While many see this as a "Same Old Jets" move, I see this as a decision that will benefit the Jets in the long-term regardless. In this episode let's look at the decision made by the Jets that at first glance doesn't look like a smart choice, but makes sense when you really think about it.

Jon shares his thoughts on how the story probably got started, who may have been responsible for the leaks and how to try o contain them in the future, how the optics look to outside observers, how a PR staff would work to limit the damage done to the team's rep, what the team's best option is going forward as far as stopping this situation from becoming even more of a firestorm in the press, and what Jon did when he was faced with a similar situation during his time in Tampa! Plus there may even be some talk of flaming tailgate tables and future pizza reviews! Play Like A Jet is a presentation of the Turn on the Jets Digital podcast network....... It’s a late edition of Phinsider Radio this week due to some illness running around the Phinsider Radio crew. However, we were determined and steadfast in coming together to record this show for all of our loyal listeners (all 13 of you). This week, we explained why the sky is not falling for the Miami Dolphins and why the playoffs aren’t such a longshot when you really break it down and look at it. We give you all the scenarios and what the Dolphins need to do to secure a playoff spot for the second consecutive year. But, even with the playoffs in sight, there are fans who would rather see the Dolphins lose the last two games and get a better draft position. We discuss that line of thinking and give both sides of the argument. If the Dolphins were to make the playoffs, could they make any noise with their up and down team? We hit key points on the defense, Jay Cutler, the WR corps and more. We use those same points to debate what the Dolphins should do this upcoming offseason. Should they draft a quarterback to back up Ryan Tannehill? Can Kenyan Drake be a featured back? What about DeVante Parker? Do you trade him or give him one more year? Cameron Wake is aging - is it time to part ways with him? Since the Dolphins lost on Sunday, we bring back our Phinsider Radio press conference, featuring Houtz as Defensive Coordinator Matt Burke, Sutton as Offensive Coordinator Clyde Christensen and MC$ as Head Coach Adam Gase. Finally, we take a final look at the upcoming game against the Kansas City Chiefs and what the Dolphins need to do to take home a victory. Join us for an hour of fun and excitement on Phinsider Radio! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
The Miami Dolphins dominated the Denver Broncos in all three phases of the game and came away with a 35-9 victory on Sunday. This means their slim playoff hopes are still alive, but they'll need to win their remaining four games and it won't be an easy task. Can Kenyan Drake and Xavien Howard build off the Broncos game and carry that forward over the next four games? They'll be tested quickly against the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football. If they can continue the success they found on Sunday, the Dolphins just might be able to pull off the upset against the Patriots. We'll also discuss how the special teams unit can build off their success from the Broncos game. With Drake emerging on Sunday, there are now questions as to whether or not he can sustain this. If he can, does this mean the Dolphins should look away frmo an elite talent like Saquon Barkley? Head Coach Adam Gase said he doesn't like to have featured backs, but MC$ and Sutton explain how his history of running backs says otherwise. As always, we take your questions frmo the Phinsider Radio mailbag. Then, we close out the show with a depressing look at the future of the NFL. Will it still be around in 15-20 years? We discuss after a brutal Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals game on Monday Night Football. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Episode 4 of The Fins Broadcast 2017 season primarily focused on Head Coach Adam Gase and the impact he's had on various facets of the NEW Miami Dolphins. From how he's helped Ryan Tannehill blossom, as opposed to the damage Joe Philbin did to the quarterback's career, to the way he relates to pretty much every player in the locker room. Also mentioned was his love for Jarvis Landry as well as his previous connection to Julius Thomas which should make for an improvement over Jordan Cameron at the TE position. What started with sending a message to Jay Ajayi right from week one, which the players quickly received, led to a quick adjustment to his new position and the incredible win streak that followed. The moral of the story and this episode of TFB is: The sky's the limit for Adam Gase.
