The Jets have fired GM Joe Douglas. Boomer said he went back and looked at the tape of Aaron Rodgers and he believes he has a left leg injury. A knee or hamstring. There is a detailed article in The Athletic about Douglas being fired and it seems that Woody Johnson has not allowed him to really do his job. Jerry is here for his first update of the day, but first Boomer said The Warm Up Show between Al & Jerry was very heated today. Jerry never actually got to his topic. We just rehashed what happened between Al & Jerry on whether you want your team to win a championship and suck for years, or be competitive every year without winning a championship. In the final segment of the hour, former NY Daily News reporter Manish Mehta either purposely or accidentally put out Joe Douglas' number on X.
Hour 1 The Jets have fired GM Joe Douglas. Boomer said he went back and looked at the tape of Aaron Rodgers and he believes he has a left leg injury. A knee or hamstring. There is a detailed article in The Athletic about Douglas being fired and it seems that Woody Johnson has not allowed him to really do his job. Hour 2 Dexter Lawrence was asked about Daniel Jones benching and he didn't quite understand it. He did say Jones was his best friend, so he is going to defend him. Other players feel it was a money decision by the Giants. Boomer said they are starting Tommy DeVito to give something to the fans. Both the Jets and Giants are going to need quarterbacks next season, assuming Rodgers isn't back with the Jets. Boomer also wonders if Rodgers will say he's too injured to play the rest of this season. If the owner is pulling the rip cord on the season, why should Rodgers tough it out? Jerry returns for an update and starts with Todd McShay saying Joe Douglas will be fine, the Jets will not. McShay said it's an ownership problem. Shedeur Sanders was asked by his podcast co-host and teammate about going to the Giants. Gio wonders if John Mara would want that circus. Michael Irvin said Deion and Shedeur would go to the Cowboys together. Gio said Mara likes Huckleberry Finn as a quarterback. In the final segment of the hour, Gio and his wife go to separate rooms to watch TV at night because they want to watch 2 different things. Gio said there is a new season of 1,000 Pound Sisters that they watch together. Hour 3 Phil Simms joins us on the phone in his weekly spot. Boomer asks him what Aaron Rodgers' opinion of this Joe Douglas situation will be. Boomer said the Jets need a big personality as head coach, how would Jon Gruden work with the Jets? We got Phil's thoughts on Tommy DeVito getting the start this week. Phil seems to like QB Carson Beck of Georgia. Jerry returns for an update but first Boomer has a coaching candidate for two years from now. Defensive Coordinator of the Chargers, Jesse Minter. Jerry starts with Kevin Stefanski talking about outside noise being the head coach of the Browns. Stephen A. Smith is worried about Jerry Jones and compares him to Joe Biden. Micah Parsons said of the Cowboys, ‘we're a damn good football team'. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Army vs Notre Dame Saturday night at Yankee Stadium. Boomer said it would be a tall order for Army to win. Hour 4 We recapped the disaster the Jets are after firing Joe Douglas. This, after firing Rob Saleh and Aaron Rodgers being a terrible quarterback this season. Woody Johnson went all in but then started making decisions on his own. We talked about Tommy DeVito getting the start on Sunday in front of the home crowd. They had to give the fans something to look forward to. They haven't won a home game yet this season. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and Mark Schlereth cannot believe the Giants bypassed Drew Lock to go to Tommy DeVito. Shedeur Sanders sounds like he's not against being drafted by the Giants. Charles Barkley reacted to Inside The NBA moving to ESPN. The Moment of The Day: Everyone is annoyed at everyone on the show. In the final segment of the show, there are 25 players among the finalists for the NFL Hall of Fame including Eli Manning. We also talked about the McDonald's Arch Burger from way back when.

“It was staring us in the face, but we just couldn't see it.” This is the conundrum many face when it comes to navigating risk and opportunity. Many things conspire to keep us from seeing and seizing the opportunity. Organizational silos. Fear of change. Cost vs. Return on the Opportunity (different than ROI). I was fortunate to listen to a powerful story of navigating risk and opportunity by Ontic's Chief Product Officer, Manish Mehta at the recent Protective Intelligence Summit. And I followed up with him on our Great Conversation Podcast around the opportunity that is gradually being “seen” and deployed by leaders in the risk, resilience, and security industry. Listen in, connect the dots, and enjoy the ride along the new, interconnected, intelligence highway. Manish has over 25 years of market leadership in software development, In his role as Chief Product Officer, he is the principal evangelist linking customers, partners and product development teams together in a highly collaborative and strategic web of innovation.

You hear of it all the time. When an incident occurs; a fire, an earthquake, or an active shooter, we want to know who was in the building. Or when we are working late at night in a building with heat and lighting controls, why does it not just sense my presence and adjust my section of the building accordingly? We have the technology to do both, and it is improving over time. We had a great conversation with the Chief Product Officer of Ontic, Manish Mehta and the CEO of turnstile-based access control company Orion, Steve Caroselli, to discuss their early discussions in engaging this challenge. And in return we uncover the recognition that fear, uncertainty and doubt can radically change a market forcing innovations in technology, business models, and security.
