There have been quite a few CFL players to make their way to the NFL. Stars like Cameron Wake, Brandon Browner, and Joe Horn, in fact, all got their big breaks at the CFL (for the B.C. Lions, Calgary Stampeders, and Memphis Mad Dogs, respectively). There have also been a handful of NFL players who have taken their talents to Canada. One such player is Johnny Manziel, who, unfortunately, seems to have blown his shot at football redemption in the CFL. The players in this list, however, are unlike Manziel, have been the tops in both leagues.

Is Matt Burke on the hot seat?  Oddly enough, the Dolphins defense played lights out with Jones on the sideline. Akeem Spence and Cameron Wake both had two sacks a piece. Kiko Alonso had an interception, as did T.J McDonald, Walt Aikens. Jerome Baker picked off an errant Sam Darnold throw and took it to the house.  Is this what we can expect from the defense moving forward, or are the Jets just that bad? On offense, the Dolphins struggled for the second consecutive week, and many are fed up with Brock Osweiler. Will Ryan Tannehill be healthy enough to start after the bye? Adam Gase admitted on Monday the Dolphins didn’t do a good enough job splitting touches between Kenyan Drake and Frank Gore. If the Dolphins want to have success during the second half of the season, Drake needs more touches.  Matthew Cannata discusses his experience as a credentialed member of the media, and the boys do the unthinkable and send Sam Darnold an edible arrangement for his contribution in Miami’s 2-0, series sweep of the lowly JESTS All this and more on this week’s episode of Phinsider Radio! This week on Phinsider Radio, we dive into one of the greatest players in Miami Dolphins history - Cameron Wake. At 36-years-old, he has shown a few signs of slowing down but when it comes time to rushing the passer, he’s still one of the best in the game. With his run defense a huge liability though, and with his large contract number, does it make sense to consider other options? More specifically, should the Dolphins consider trading him to another team? We look at that scenario along with what it would look like if Miami re-structured his contract, cut him outright, or held onto him for at least one more year. We also look back at this past weekend’s NFL games and look ahead to the Conference Championships. It was certainly an exciting weekend of football and this Sunday will be no different. As always, we take your questions from the Phinsider Radio mailbag. We’re nearing draft season so a few questions touched on that along with the latest on Jarvis Landry and his contract update. It’s a late edition of Phinsider Radio this week due to some illness running around the Phinsider Radio crew. However, we were determined and steadfast in coming together to record this show for all of our loyal listeners (all 13 of you). This week, we explained why the sky is not falling for the Miami Dolphins and why the playoffs aren’t such a longshot when you really break it down and look at it. We give you all the scenarios and what the Dolphins need to do to secure a playoff spot for the second consecutive year. But, even with the playoffs in sight, there are fans who would rather see the Dolphins lose the last two games and get a better draft position. We discuss that line of thinking and give both sides of the argument. If the Dolphins were to make the playoffs, could they make any noise with their up and down team? We hit key points on the defense, Jay Cutler, the WR corps and more.   We use those same points to debate what the Dolphins should do this upcoming offseason. Should they draft a quarterback to back up Ryan Tannehill? Can Kenyan Drake be a featured back? What about DeVante Parker? Do you trade him or give him one more year? Cameron Wake is aging - is it time to part ways with him? Since the Dolphins lost on Sunday, we bring back our Phinsider Radio press conference, featuring Houtz as Defensive Coordinator Matt Burke, Sutton as Offensive Coordinator Clyde Christensen and MC$ as Head Coach Adam Gase. Finally, we take a final look at the upcoming game against the Kansas City Chiefs and what the Dolphins need to do to take home a victory.
