I certainly want to see Jesus when I get to heaven, but even more than that I must see Jesus Exalted and Glorified, I want to see how the Father Honors His Son who has pleased Him Well!Philippians 2:1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, 2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Scripture For Today:Mark 12:40“They devour widows' houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will be punished most severely.”Don't Con God pt 1We have been studying, pretty in depth, about prayer. Not just your normal, wimpy, wamsy panzi style of a study in prayer….not like you usually will receive in one of the many secular style, popular weak kneed – come as you are with your latte style churches…where every sermon and every service is a pep rally. Not your old fashioned, “let us come “reverently” to His Holiness as worms” style of prayer… NO – we have been studying how to have EFFECTIVE PRAYER…prayer that is based on the Word of God – How the BIBLE teaches us we should pray…how the BIBLE says BELIEVERS should pray….how GOD EXPECTS US TO PRAY…. We have been studying what prayer really is – it is NOT trying to get God to do something…HE has already done all He is going to do…HE SENT JESUS! Prayer is not DEMANDING something from God…NO – prayer is a form of communication – not to make your needs known to God (for He already knows what you need even before you ask Him)…Well brother Bob “if he already knows what I need – why doesn't He give me what I need before I ask Him…and why do I still have to ask!?” Well, first of all – YOU are not in a position to TELL God what you need. WHATT? That's right…….if God gave you what you “thought” you would need…it could destroy you….remember the scripture of “prosperity destroys the fool?” that we covered last week? If you ask God – “I want 10 million dollars” and he gave it to you…and you are a fool – “a fool and his money are soon parted” and you just increased the wealth of the kingdom of the devil by a bunch! NO – you do not tell God what you need. You can ASK God if it is HIS WILL for you to receive 10 million dollars….and don't try to con God into giving it to you by your self righteous lies….you know what I mean…”God if you give me this 10 million dollars I can do soooooo much for you…I will give some to the ministry….I will send some to some poor old soul in Africa….I would not have to work….I could just travel and preach the gospel for you….I could be on TV with my own television show and preach the gospel…I could open my own church…God, I could do so much with this money….” WHATEVER!!! God knows your heart….if He just gave it to you…it would not be two weeks and you would be kicked back on some island beach…telling God that after this vacation, you will work for Him….I mean…I deserve it…then, you know God, 10% of this money is such a big chunk of change….I don't think I should give it all to some ministry…I better hold onto it…I need this new car…I mean the old one is getting old…and my wife needs her a new car too…and we need a new house Lord…I mean, you don't want your preacher living in an old house do you…? You know what I mean! NO - God knows what is in your heart…and if you can only handle 10K dollars…that is all he is going to give you…if you can't handle that…He will only give you a couple hundred at a time. Amen! don't listen to me in the self righteous attitude! I can hear you listening to me right now!!! Praise God!!! Let's Pray! "The purpose of education is to know God and make Him known." Do you believe that? I think when it comes to spiritual education, like Bible reading and sermons, we would say so. And there are important applications of this phrase upon how you and I are using the things we learn in study and at a church. But would you say this phrase holds true with schools? Is the purpose of science and english and math: to know God and share Him? Well, it used to be. Schools were founded on this purpose. Things have changed. But we can recapture the purpose of education on a family level! Also, even beyond school we grow in knowledge every day, don't we? Why are you learning new things and how are you using it? Let's do all of this in the God Box, and relate all new growth to His work!- What is the purpose of education - How does that purpose live in our spiritual education- Can we apply this same principle to secular education- How can we use Science and English as tools to know God and make Him known- Are you using all new learning to the glory of the name of God. How
We're taking a detour from our journey through the letters of Paul to talk about the "God moments" of the Bible. What was going on when people heard or saw God? Did they actually or was it a metaphor? Is it a messenger or the actual creator God? Was it fully God or just part of Him? We'll begin talking about that topic this week and wrap up the conversation with the question "why does God operate in this way" next week in Part 2. As always, thanks so much for listening, we're so humbled that you do and hope you'll partner with us in this somehow!
LIFE, His name is Jesus. Do you really know Him? Well, Jesus unselfishly allowed those of us who received Him as Lord and Savior to not only use the authority found in His Name, but equipped us to manifest the will of Father God in the earth. In order to be proficient in our assignment, It still remains our duty to unify and evolve...AS HE IS, in His Body, the Body of Christ, led by Holy Spirit. This week on the Rose of Sharon Show, we shall continue to restore the Truth, and make a demand on Obedience so that WE may actually manifest the will of God in the earth, as the Son. The Rose of Sharon Show is the manifestation of “Speaking the TRUTH in Love that we may grow up in ALL THINGS into HIM who is the head - Christ.” This is the assignment of the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher, that Father God be made known through the unified Body of Christ, enjoying Life, in Christ, as HE is, in this world.
Whenever someone says, “Trust me,” it almost always elicits a natural reaction of doubt. The very fact that they are asking you to trust them makes you think they might not be trustworthy. And, the truth is, a lot of people aren’t. But what about God? Can we trust Him? Well, in Isaiah 40:12-31, we’re going to get a primer on the trustworthiness of God, and it’s all based on the unequaled, unparalleled nature of God. He is trustworthy and true because he is holy. He is deserving of man’s trust because He is perfectly righteous and beyond reproach. He has never given man a reason to doubt his goodness or question His integrity. And yet, even His own chosen people doubted Him regularly and repeatedly. That was the whole reason He had threatened them with destruction at the hands of the Assyrians. And, while He had removed that nation as a threat, the Babylonians were next in line, because the people of Judah still found it difficult to trust God. But the difficulties they faced were meant to drive them back to the always reliable and trustworthy arms of God.
What do you do when the world draws you away from The Heavenly Father? What do you do when it is dark and you don't know how to get back to Him? Well you call out to Him. You can be sure that He will hear and He will answer your call. In Psalms 141:1 we read; “LORD, I cry out to You; Make haste to me! Give ear to my voice when I cry out to You.” If you find yourself separated from God and it is dark just keep calling out to Him and He will keep answering you. You will never forget the sound of His voice as it leads you home.

Brian Credille • John 6:60-71 • Have you ever thought that if Jesus would just appear in person to the World that, of course, everyone would believe in Him? Well, He did and they didn't. We see that some actually walked away from Jesus as he revealed the truth about Himself while a few made powerful statements of faith.
Meditation by Fr. Cristian Laslo Today’s Gospel is inviting us to reflect upon our Savior who is brought in front of the world’ rulers to be judged for revealing God’ love for mankind. Trying to interfere as little as possible in Jewish community, Pilate offers them to choose between Jesus and Barabbas, a killer. And they have chosen the killer. Jesus’ dialog with Pilate is more like a friendly talking than an interrogation. At Pilate’s questions, Jesus is not answering; He didn’t come to justify Himself. He came to act accordingly to the Father’ will. “He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter and like a sheep that before its shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.” (Isaiah 53, 7). Just like his disciples, the multitude seems to have forgotten the miracles that were done for them. They were already fed, healed, resurrected. They got what they expected, and now, after they have spread their clothing at His feet, they want Him dead. And they found even an alternative to be release: a killer who disobeyed the roman ruler and thought that he will free the land of Israel into a rebellion. Jesus was ready for this too. He was prepared for the supreme sacrifice which have shaken the world and its numbness, for “… the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, to know him who is true…” (I John 5, 20). Today we are working for our bread, we are praying for a miracle when we are sick, and we might have little confidence in front of the death. But children are killed in their mothers’ wombs, elders and veterans are abandoned on the streets and it seems that Jesus has died on the Cross. Where is He nowadays? Where is He when we need Him? Well, He is still alive in the Sacraments and acts pale through the humblest instruments who chose Him into their lives. The evil ruler of this world puts us to choose between Christ our Savior and the sweet deadly sin. Whom we choose today? Mark 15, 1-15 Music: Lost Frontier by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)

In a moonlit olive orchard, a figure cloaked in shadows prays...how will we see Him, how does the crowd see Him, how do His friends see Him? How does God see Him? Well pleased... Listen and Look and see...What a God! What a Saviour! What a Christ!
Today is Trinity Sunday, the first Sunday of Ordinary Time. I’ve come to see this Feast Day as a summary of the Christ Event, revealing the relations and roles of the Trinity – God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. From the Virgin Mary’s conception right through Christ’s Resurrection, we see the relations of the Trinity at work. The baptism of Jesus would be the most explicit display of this Great Mystery – the voice of the Father and the anointing of the Holy Spirit upon Jesus. To consider the Trinity in merely philosophical terms would be missing the point. C.S. Lewis, in Mere Christianity, says, ‘“You may ask, “If we cannot imagine a three-personal Being, what is the good of talking about Him?” Well, there isn’t any good talking about Him. The thing that matters is being actually drawn into that three-personal life, and that may begin any time – tonight, if you like.” Jesuit author, Fr. James Hanvey tells us … Too often our understanding and experience of God as Trinity is dismissed as a mystery or presented as some sort of paradox or conundrum: ‘three persons, one God.’ Now, of course, God is the absolute mystery of our lives and because we, as finite creatures, have only very limited ways of expressing the transcendent glory of God’s Trinitarian life, we have to remember that our language must be humble, partial and inadequate. If it were not then it could not speak truthfully of the reality of God who cannot be contained within our speech. The point of our attempting to put this luminous, holy reality into the poor rags of language is not to obscure but to point the way – the way from thinking and speaking to the life of the mystery itself. So, when we speak of the Trinity as a mystery we do not mean that we should not think or speak about it but rather that its meaning is inexhaustible. On the contrary, then, we can never be done thinking and speaking and coming to an adoring wonder that we have been given such an extraordinary vision of God’s own life. So what do we mean when we say ‘three persons, one God’? Well, we’re not talking arithmetic. If we are then, clearly, we’re going to get into trouble and our Trinity will seem nonsensical. Now we get Love wrong if we think of it as a ‘thing’ – something we can possess or control. It is a relationship and it is a verb – we can only ‘have’ love by loving, by participating in a relationship of love. So, the Trinity is Love Loving – alive, incomprehensible, inexhaustible, eternally complete and creative. Yet, here is the great mystery. We only know this because the Father gives Himself to be known in His Son and the Son gathers us into this eternal self-giving through and in the Spirit. In other words, the fact that we can speak at all about God as Trinity is already a sign that we are beginning to participate in God’s Triune life: we know and experience that the Trinity is Love Loving us. This is what we call grace, gift, God himself. Today’s passage in Romans 8 says that “we are children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer WITH him in order that we may also be glorified WITH him” 8:16, 17).
