The Atlanta Braves got the unfortunate news of Ronald Acuña Jr tearing the ACL in his left knee late Sunday night after leaving Sunday afternoon's game vs the Pittsburgh Pirates. This makes tears to both the right and left Acuña's ACLs in a span of 4 years. Are these injuries due to Acuña's Jr's style of play? If they are, what would be the solution? Run less? Maybe. It will be at least a year until Acuña Jr. is back on the field, but we also remember how 2022 went, the year following the tear of Acuña Jr's right knee, and it wasn't great. Should the Braves try to turn Ronald Acuña Jr in to a power hitter that doesn't run as much? There is history of the handful of baseball players that have achieved the 40-40 season slowing down almost immediately and focusing more on power, so maybe that was already in the cards. Andy Bunker and John Fricke discuss the eventual return of Ronald Acuña Jr and what it may look like.

In hour 1 Randy and John Fricke get in to what was a pretty decent weekend in Atlanta sports, with the Hawks and United both winning. Also, what do we make of the Justin Fields to Pittsburgh trade? Should the Falcons have been more aggressive?
The 2024 season of NFL free agency has been crazy to say the least, maybe even strange. Russell Wilson goes to the Steelers, then Justin Fields goes to the Steelers? A lot of backup quarterbacks have traded places, and the Houston Texans just keep getting richer. One team that made a not-so-strange move is the Atlanta Falcons signing former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins, giving him a record contract for a free agent quarterback. But now what do they do? Believe it or not, the Falcons still have some money left after guaranteeing Kirk Cousins $100 million. Just about every mock drafter out there has the Falcons going defense with the number eight pick in the draft, and that makes sense since the Falcons have been lacking a pass rush for several years now. But is this what the Falcons will do? With several free agent pass rushers still on the market, dare the Falcons sign a free agent pass rusher and take yet another offensive player in the first round? Randy McMichael and John Fricke discuss what to do with the remaining money that the Falcons have, and where they should spend it.

Next the guys recap the weekend around the sports world including the Daytona 500 that got delayed until Monday and the final round of the Genesis Open. And in the final segment of the first hour, John and Randy dive into the Atlanta Falcons QB situation, rumors and possibilities
Spring Training is off and running, and the Atlanta Braves are getting ready for a long season, that should be filled with plenty of wining, and the players know it. Several player have been outspoken about the level of expectation that they are putting on themselves, as they should be, because the expectation level is as high as it can be: WORLD SERIES OR BUST. The Braves had a nice offseason, Chris Sale and Jared Kelenic among others. Sale would be slotted as the third or fourth starter, without the pressure of having to be an ace after a few injury-riddled seasons. Jared Kelenic will likely be the every day left fielder, with low pressure to live up to the top five prospect that he once was. If either of these guys out-perform the expectations that have been out on them, then this team may be better than the 104 win season from last year. On top of that, there is a 5-way battle going on for the "fifth starter" job. This team will be good, but how good? So good, that not winning the whole thin g may just be looked upon as a failure. Randy McMichael and John Fricke discuss the expectation level of the 2024 Braves.
