In case it's not completely obvious, I'm a fairly conflict averse person. I hate when people argue. I get anxious when tensions rise. I do not enjoy a debate. I would almost always prefer to exchange smiles then to exchange “words” with anyone. Sometimes, on-line, people will think I like heated “discussions” because I have strong opinions and I express them through this particular medium. Just for the record, I do not. I will do a LOT to avoid a heated “discussion.” As the time for jury deliberation got closer for those of us sitting through the trial, this one juror seemed positively excited about it. She'd put up her hands and pretend to duke it out with an imaginary person. I gave her the gesture back on occasion because I like to be playful – and I hate to leave an acting offer on the table. She wants to play fight? I'm here for her. But once the deliberations started, this woman had a lot to say and not a lot of it made sense and I was not there to indulge anyone's whims. I did my best to get us on track and stay on the question at hand and the facts. And this woman who'd seemed so excited about the fighting she was looking forward to doing (“the fun part” she'd said) declared to me, “You're so aggressive. I feel like I need to get out my boxing gloves.” To read more of Put Up Your Dukes visit the Songs for the Struggling Artist blog. Athlete of the Week: Mason Heintschel, Clay High School. In his third career start, the sophomore signal caller put up six touchdowns to go with over 430 total yards.OREGON, Ohio — A performance to remember in Week Three for Clay quarterback Mason Heintschel, earns him WTOL Athlete of the Week presented by Dave's Running!"It's been awesome to watch him," head coach John Galyas said. Heintschel added "Getting the ball to my playmakers, line blocked really well. Just getting the ball to my guys and letting them make plays. A lot of fun getting the ball to our playmakers."In his third career start, the sophomore signal caller put up six touchdowns to go with over 430 total yards. Guiding the Eagles to a 50-37 win against Springfield."Helps so much, being able to take that off my shoulders and just move onto the next week," Heintschel said. "Knowing that I'm able to put up stats like that, it feels great knowing I can do that."Galyas adds "What Mason can do as far as seeing the field and extending plays, we obviously saw it against Springfield."Clay's offense has soared out of the gates with Heintschel behind center. Averaging more than 43 points per game which has helped guide the team to a 3-0 start."That's what we wanted coming in, we wanted to have a great start and just keep it going," Heintschel said. "I didn't know we were going to put this many points on the board, but it's been fun."Hard to believe, with their early season success, that Heintschel is a first-year starter. Yet, it's easy to recognize why he's so coveted. "His composure and his poise for being that young, definitely impresses you," Galyas said. "Anybody who sees him, he's a pretty cool customer."

Live from the No Panic Zone—I'm Steve Gruber—I am America's Voice—God Bless America—God Bless You and let's do this! This is the Steve Gruber show— I am just an overgrown Zygote in search of humanity and leadership in a nation—that seems desperately in need of both— Here are three big things you need to know right now— ONE— Joe Manchin should be kicked out of the Democrat Party according to Robert Reich—the former Labor Secretary for Bill Clinton—I think that's a great idea—kick him out—we could use one more GOP vote— TWO— In DC the Mayor is upset that her city is getting inundated with illegal aliens that are being bused north by Texas and Arizona—and I thought she liked open borders— THREE— How long can we really put up with Joe Biden in the Oval Office? I know we talk about this every day—But there is just no way around discussing President Disasters declining mental health—I mean it has become more pronounced ever since he took the oath of office—and it does raise questions about who really is driving the bus—because its awfully hard to believe that Feeble Joe is running anything— I mean he shows up with cue cards that tell him when to sit—what reporter to call on—when to ask a question—when to leave the room—and we have seen quite clearly anytime he is without his crib notes—he has not one clue on what to do— This is the leader of the Free World—he has the nuclear football in tow wherever he goes—and you have to wonder—if he had to make a call at 3 in the morning about responding to a rogue Russia or North Korea—would he even be capable— I mean—if you look at Joe Biden on the campaign trail in 2019—and compare that to the guy that took the whole day off Monday—and takes off too many days to keep track of—a guy that has given a total of 2 sit down interviews in all of 2022—its not the same— To say he has lost a step would be too kind—and it gets to the point that we have to seriously consider the 25th Amendment—I mean his polling numbers continue to fall to places we have not seen before—and yet is still telling people around him he intends to run for re-election—which would be a catastrophic failure for the Democrats—because the majority on the left want a new candidate in 2024— They are petrified that Biden may choose to pursue another term—in which he would be far more compromised than he is today—it is not a serious conversation any more—not that it ever was— Joe Biden is not competent now—he clearly won't be competent at 82 to start another term—or 86 when he would finish—and who can honestly predict that he will even be alive at that point—I am not being smart—but the average lifespan for men in America is… well less than Joe Bidens age today—so I think we can figure that one out— And as much as I realize what a terrible choice the Democrats have left us—because Kamala Harris may be just as incompetent as Joe Biden—we have arrived at a point that the idea can no longer be dismissed—or worse, ignored— And this Presidential crisis comes as Americans are being punished by an economy that is headed south—a border crisis that is being promoted by the failing administration—and possible armed conflicts in Ukraine and elsewhere—in a world where both Iran and North Korea now claim to have nuclear capabilities—and missiles to deliver the warheads
In the third hour, Mike Mulligan and Mark Grote were joined by LaMond Pope of the Tribune to break down the White Sox's 8-4 loss to the Guardians on Monday.
