Former Minister Peter Dunne says it's time to look at MP allowances. NZ First MP Andy Foster's claiming a $36,000 accommodation allowance for the Wellington family home he bought 26 years ago. He's moved to the Wairarapa, but lives in the capital when Parliament sits. Dunne says MPs should be reasonable. "Fair enough if you're required to commute to Wellington each week to get some accommodation, to get some recompense for that, but not fair enough to simply turn your own home into your home away from home in Wellington when you've lived there for most of your life." National's Louise Upston's also claiming the allowance for her Wellington property. LISTEN ABOVESee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Sometimes everything just feels… heavy. Especially at the end of the school year. You're exhausted, you've been up all night, taking care of everyone else all day, and when you finally have a chance to look up all you see are the problems. The house feels out of control, you feel hopelessly behind, and you realize that you're not sure you have the energy for this today (like, any of it). Here's the thing… when you recognize that feeling of being surrounded by a thick, heavy, wanna quit fog, that's not the time to make decisions. Unfortunately, that's the time when it feels the most tempting to throw in the towel for the day (or even for the year) and look for a way out. In this episode, I'm talking about these moments of desolation and why, as homeschool moms, we have to be so careful not to make big changes when we're tired, overwhelmed, or emotionally drained. Not only because it's nearly impossible to think clearly and logically when you feel like this, but also because you just don't make great decisions from those emotions. So what do you do instead? Today, I'll walk you through what it looks like to continue the path you've already chosen with the Lord, with less pressure, less perfection, and more peace while you wait for the fog to lift. Grab your earbuds and join me for this short, sweet, and to the point episode for your busy end of school season: When to Make Changes (and When NOT to!) Get the details for Happy, Holy Mama here!

T-minus one hour to Tamperfest! As we count down to NFL free agency, we speculate what might happen with our big 6 free agents and consider who the Seahawks might have their eye on. We can assume that Ken Walker will be wearing a different uniform in 2026 and we can also assume that another team is going to be overpaying for the veteran running back based off his post-season performance. :30- Maxx Crosby is headed to the Ravens and as much as we would have liked to have him on the team, we are fine with the Seahawks not giving up two draft picks and paying that big salary. Yes, the Seahawks did have the draft capital, but the Ravens draft picks seem more enticing given that the Seahawks are picking 32nd this year and hopefully late in the first round next year as well. :45- We have a BIG WBC matchup tonight as the US and Mexico face off. Should there be some changes to the WBC format?

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is facing scrutiny over its Cap-and-Investment program, with PBF Energy warning that proposed amendments could decimate in-state refining capacity. Assembly Bill 1207, championed by Assemblywoman Jacqui Irwin, aims to extend the cap and trade program to 2045, but critics argue it will skyrocket costs and force refineries to close. PBF Energy, which supplies a significant portion of California's fuel including 33% of the state's gasoline production, warns of dire consequences. The potential loss of refineries threatens job losses, disrupts fuel supplies, and endangers California's energy independence. The proposed changes could disproportionately affect California's economy and residents. Understanding CARB's actions and their impact on California's energy sector is crucial for reasonable people.
