Kirk Perry is a big deal. Currently the President and CEO of Circana, a big data firm, and with significant stints at Google and P&G, he's a force to be reckoned with in the business world. He's also a man of faith, who doesn't leave that behind when he arrives at the office. Kirk was recently featured on Learnings from Leaders: the P&G Alumni Podcast to talk about how he balances faith at work. It was such a fantastic conversation, we got permission from hosts Rajiv and Ramaan to replay it here. Kirk is a member of the Cincinnati Innovation District Advisory Council, and has been active with many nonprofit organizations, including board affiliations with The Ronald McDonald House, The CityLink Foundation, City Team, The United Way Campaign Cabinet, March of Dimes (national and regional), the University of Cincinnati Foundation, and the University of Cincinnati's Bicentennial Commission. Kirk has also coached youth sports for more than 20 years. He and his wife, Jacki, have been married for more than 30 years and have four beautiful children. Kirk Perry is an example of what opportunity can and should be in America. From the outside looking in Kirk Perry looks as if he had a seamless path. Working for two decades at Proctor and Gamble and now leading Google Brands. Mr. Perry is responsible for driving Google's revenue a trillion dollar company, with the world's largest advertisers and advertising agencies. But his path wasn’t always so easy, from growing up poor, to almost not making it through college, to health scares of cancer with himself and daughter, Kirk has had anything but an easy path. His struggles did not deter him but made him more determined to focus on what really matters in life.
Months after making the toughest decision of his life, Kirk Perry found himself fighting for his life. Kirk left an executive role with Proctor & Gamble and moved his family thousands of miles from everything they knew, hoping that a lucrative opportunity at Google was part of God’s plan for them. What Kirk didn’t realize was that stage 4 thyroid cancer was also part of the plan. As the new President of Brand Solutions at Google, Kirk suddenly needed more solutions than the greatest tech team in the world could possibly create.
