This week both Oak & Chicken are excited to finally have their very own Nintendo Switches. Is it all they hoped it would be? Grif is punching people in GTA V. Problem? What problem? She's totally fine. Speaking of GTA, Rockstar sent a cease and desist letter to the developer of of OpenIV, the biggest GTA V modding platform out there. Fans are not happy and they're complaining about it via Steam's review system. Ubisoft confirms Skull and Bones will have a campaign but just how will that fit with the multiplayer driven trailer they showed at E3? Bioware could be gearing up for 10 years worth of Anthem. The Tangent - 120: The Future Of 2016 "Two can be as bad as one" Yet again, it's just Brian and Gary sitting at the table this week. It's the first full day of summer and some of us just have to hit the open ocean, even if one is the loneliest number. Anyway, we talk about games, and the first one up is Wolfenstein, and Gary is still having fun. That's good, because I'm pretty sure that's the point of a game. In the past, anyway. Today, who knows? Then he talks some Overwatch. Somehow this is still happening. Brian also ranked out something in gold. I think. Speaking of Brian, his game this week, Ever Oasis, is a "Brian" game through and through. It's a third-person action RPG where you're building an oasis and all NPC's can be in the party. Neat. Lastly, Stephen corrects the record on the iOS game Beat Stomper. Plus, some Animal Crossing N64 talk. Put it in Japanese. There's no Drunken News: Game Show Edition this week, again. Adric Polkinghornefrom Jammed Up Studios joins us to talk about Think of the Children, a game that teaches us the struggle of keeping children alive. It's a chaotic child micromanagement game, built out of the adrenaline and excitement of a game jam, which in now being translated into a commercial release. Spurred on by a very vocal Twitch chat, Adric shared his thoughts on walking the thin moral line while developing his game, and travelling the world putting the game in front of players and famous YouTubers and Twitch streamers. Rockstar and their parent company Take- Two Interactive are receiving some heat from their player base after mod support was pulled from Grand Theft Auto V when a cease & desist letter was sent to creators of modding tool OpenIV. Grand Theft Auto has had a strong relationship with mods over the years with photorealistic graphics mods, to Iron Man, to exploding mobile phones. Players are up in arms and have been bashing GTA V on Steam Reviews. It raised the question around the office, do we really have the “right” to mod the games we love and could Rockstar and Take- Two have handled the situation better? An 100% completion stat is a badge players wear with honor. But what drives players to fill in every single box and collect every single puzzle piece?.
