Während der erste Teil der Reihe 2019 noch eher mit Schlauchleveln kämpfte, hat man sich in Code Vein II dazu entschieden, den Open-World-Weg der „Souls-Konkurrenz“ Elden Ring einzuschlagen. Trotz des unterschiedlichen Settings ist die Inspiration überall spürbar: Eine große, offene (wenn auch leider recht leere) Welt, verteilte Mini-Dungeons, überall (leider auch gleiche) Items und sogar die an „Goldene Saaten“ erinnernden Kugeln zum Aufleveln der Tränke sind in der Welt verstreut. Der Vergleich kommt also nicht von ungefähr. Doch trotz dieser Inspiration hat das Spiel genau damit zu kämpfen. Der Artstyle harmoniert nicht gut mit der offenen Welt, die Konsolenfassung läuft performancetechnisch nicht rund und selbst die Kämpfe fühlen sich nicht so wuchtig an, wie sie sein sollten. Schade, denn die Story um die Helden und die Zeitreisen ist ziemlich interessant. Auch spielerisch hat Teil II mit den verschiedenen Waffen und Blutcodes im Kern eigentlich einiges zu bieten. Hier kann man wirklich nur hoffen, dass die Entwickler zumindest bei der Performance noch via Patches nachbessern.

Arrancamos comentando el Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, analizando con calma qué supone realmente para Nintendo Switch 2: una apuesta clara por el apoyo third party, un calendario con muchas fechas cercanas y una sensación general de transición hacia una consola que empieza a recibir juegos “de generación actual”. Repasamos uno a uno todos los anuncios del Direct, desde The Adventures of Elliot: The Millenium Tales, que se posiciona como uno de los grandes RPG del año con demo, fecha y ediciones físicas confirmadas, hasta recopilatorios como Super Bomberman, el regreso de Captain Tsubasa, la presencia de eFootball, propuestas narrativas como Paranormasight, indies experimentales como Tokyo Scramble y una avalancha de RPG japoneses con Digimon Story Time Stranger, Granblue Fantasy Relink, Monster Hunter Stories 3 y títulos de Falcom. Uno de los anuncios más comentados del programa es la llegada de Final Fantasy VII Rebirth a Nintendo Switch 2, un movimiento clave que abre el debate técnico y estratégico: cómo se adaptará uno de los juegos más exigentes de la generación y qué significa para los jugadores que solo están en el ecosistema Nintendo. The spooky season is finally upon us. Every day another yard is covered in Halloween decorations and the autumn leaves. The fall jackets come out as the temperatures drop, at least they would if Global Warming wasn't real. The calendar tells me its October, but Mother Nature is telling me to keep wearing shorts! Honestly, the weather doesn't matter because the Grinders podcast can be enjoyed anywhere at any time.  You can listen to Grinders while trick or treating. Don't worry. We won't blow your cover. Just say the gray hair is a part of the costume. Collecting candy while listening to the latest gaming news, sounds like a happy holiday to me. The holiday will be even better for fans of the Yakuza series who can look forward to some upcoming releases. Fans of Nioh, Code Vein, and The Seven Deadly Sins can look forward to 2026 for new releases, it's only scary if you hate waiting. For the parents who are escorting their children as they beg old people for candy. While you are driving slowly, enjoying your beer, is the perfect time to listen to Stinkos! You could be at home, drinking in peace. Instead, you are just hoping your kid gets some good candy, that you plan on stealing in their sleep. You might need those treats to power through yet another price increase from Microsoft. If a bad economy and corporate greed don't get us, Kristi Noem and Pam Bondi might. Even worse that getting pennies in your bag is the Fed spending our tax dollars to protect dictators while ignoring natural disasters here at home. Even more gross than someone giving out open pieces of candy corn, are the actions of ICE. I know I am making jokes, but they are deadly problem. Cowards who have been emboldened to attack the people they have always dreamed of hurting. Sick fucks.  With such horrible Stinkos, we need some Sweetos to light up our ol' hallows night. Almost as good as finding the one neighborhood that gives out full sized candy bars! Or if you are like Frank, a huge pot bud. Unlike MAGA who is very unpleased with Dear Leaders opinions on marijuana. If they weren't already unhappy, announcing Bad Bunny for the Superbowl has made all of MAGA even less happy. Not quite as happy as Break feels for the future of his favorite baseball team.  As the night of begging finally ends, the parents can finally have some fun.
