The Courthouse in Ennistymon will be the venue for what promises to be a special event, combining the power of film, art, and philanthropy. Cracking Light Productions will stage a screening at the Courthouse of the Oscar-nominated documentary "Five Broken Cameras,", which will take place on the 4th of January. The screening will aim to raise funds for the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund (PCRF), supporting their mission to provide medical care, education, and humanitarian aid to children in need. For the past 11 weeks, life has been brutally disrupted in Gaza. 20,000 Palestinians have been killed, the majority women and children, and over 50,000 wounded.   The ongoing humanitarian crisis has left more than a quarter of the population starving, according to the UN. The flow of aid into Gaza is far from sufficient, and the distribution process poses its own set of challenges, leaving those in need struggling for survival.   In this week's episode of Beyond The Headlines, host Nada AlTaher looks into the complexities of aid delivery in Gaza, and the obstacles faced in getting essential aid from trucks into the hands of those who need it the most, speaking to representatives of the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund and the Norwegian Refugee Council, whose teams are on the ground in the strip.

Sosebee, talks about the crisis in Gaza and the efforts to keep people and children alive. Ella Emhoff, stepdaughter to Vice President Kamala Harris, recently took to social media to support a fundraiser for child relief efforts in the region of Gaza. The campaign, which Emhoff, 24, showcased on her personal Instagram to her sizable audience of 315,000 followers, has caused a degree of unease among certain conservative members of the government, including Representative Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ). The fundraiser has quickly gained traction, raising close to an impressive $8 million. It is facilitated by the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund, a Kent, Ohio-based nonprofit organization that amassed over $21 million in contributions during the previous year, as reported by ProPublica. However, Emhoff's personal contribution to this specific cause remains undisclosed. Rep. Van Drew considered this particular action troubling, expressing his significant apprehension in an interview with The Post. He found the lack of acknowledgment of the innocent Israeli victims of the crisis, including numerous children, particularly troubling. Furthermore, the New York Post noted that there was no discussion in the fundraiser about the over 1,400 innocent Israelis who have fallen victims to attacks by Hamas terrorists. Van Drew, an esteemed member of the House Homeland Security Committee, also voiced his conviction that hijacking of the humanitarian funds by notorious terrorist group Hamas was almost inevitable.
