On May 3rd, 2013, 23-year-old Amber Berbiglia never showed up for work. She was always on time, so her coworkers immediately knew something was wrong. They texted and called but received no reply. Around the same time Amber's coworkers were trying to reach her, two separate 911 calls came in. The first was from a caller who reported an abandoned vehicle. The second came from a group of kids who said they had seen a body near the same car. When detectives arrived, they found Amber dead. She had suffered severe trauma to her head, and at first, it was assumed she had been shot. But the autopsy told a different story—she had been beaten, and her arms showed signs that she had fought back. Now, more than a decade later, the person who did this to Amber still hasn't been caught—and her family and friends are still fighting for answers. 23-year-old Amber Berbiglia left her apartment on Golf Colony Lane in Little River, South Carolina, to run errands in the Myrtle Beach area. She first went to get a haircut in North Myrtle Beach before heading to Ross Dress for Less on Kings Road. After returning items, she was then spotted at the Murphy's Gas Station on Kings Road at 2:00 p.m., before paying her cable bill roughly ten minutes later on Main Street, also known as Ocean Drive, in North Myrtle Beach. She was supposed to arrive at her job—Greg Norman's Australian Grill—by 4:00 p.m., but she never made it. Instead, two 911 calls came in reporting her car abandoned on Old Sanders Road under Robert Edge Parkway. Amber's body was discovered beaten, just feet from her car. Her cause of death was blunt force trauma with two skull fractures. There were no signs of robbery—her phone was within inches of her fingers, and her purse and cash were inside the car, untouched. In this episode of Danny Hurst´s podcast he once again speaks to someone who grew up in London. Today, it is the turn of Adam and the Ants guitarist, songwriter and record producer Marco Pirroni, who has appeared alongside some of the most well-known names in music, including not only Adam Ant, but also Sinéad O'Connor, Siouxsie Sioux, Sid Vicious, Shakespeare's Sister and many others. He shares some memories of growing up just off the Caledonian Road, Camden when it wasn't fashionable, Soho and the West End; a life that compared starkly with living in America. Naturally, he also shares some great insights and stories about London´s music scene, especially in the 70's, 80s and 90s, punk and New Wave, Vivienne and Malcolm's shop on the Kings Road, the story behind Prince Charming and whether the Ants are ever likely to tour again. KEY TAKEAWAYS Until the late 80s, virtually every shop in London closed early. Each area of London had its own very distinctive character, usually heavily influenced by which immigrant groups lived there. Malcolm McClaren´s punk clothes shop originally sold Teddy Boy clothing designed by his then girlfriend, Vivienne Westwood. Malcolm liked to be mischievous, sometimes he involved Marco. Marco shares a couple of those stories. The Roxy launched some great bands including Generation X and The Clash. BEST MOMENTS “In the early 80s, it (London) was still pretty dead… nothing was ever open.” “All their fans were trying to gravitate to something else. Suddenly, this 50s clothes things was happening on the King's Road.” “My mum and dad ran a restaurant. Everyone in it was Italian. Anyone who ever came around was Italian.” “I was born in London. I am very happy to die in London, when the time comes.” “Punk sort of influenced everything so much so that everyone forgets that it was that that did it.” EPISODE RESOURCES https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marco_Pirroni https://www.linkedin.com/in/marco-pirroni-433373b4 Convent - https://dvrbs.camdenhistory.com/camden-religion/camdennj-church-perpetualrosaryconvent.htm Pet shop - https://nickygrace.co.uk/2013/01/10/the-old-pet-shop-in-camden-town Malcolm McClaren´s punk clothes shop - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sex_(boutique) HOST BIO Historian, performer, and mentor Danny Hurst has been engaging audiences for many years, whether as a lecturer, stand-up comic or intervention teacher with young offenders and excluded secondary students. DJ Fat Tony is one of the most iconic figures of London's nightlife scene. It's filled with wild stories about his past and heartbreaking reflections on his journey through addiction, recovery, and transformation. In this live episode of Changes, recorded at Before Midnight in Gunnersbury Park, Annie and Tony dive deep into Tony's life from his upbringing in Battersea, to his teenage years spent on the legendary Kings Road, to the dark depths of addiction and his return to clubbing as a sober DJ. They talk about Tony's love for music, how UK nightlife has evolved over the years and offer a raw insight into the highs and lows of DJ culture. Kings lose to Cavaliers 136-110 In this episode of The Royal Report I discuss the Kings falling to the hot shooting of the Cavs, why this loss isn't worrying, Domantas Sabonis continuing to put up monster triple doubles, and much more
D-Lo spends hour one talking Kings and much more with their road trip ending today.
I am a bit surprised about the negativity coming from Kings fans after last night's loss to Miami. They are 3-1 thus far with three games remaining on this lengthy trip. So far so good! Don't make too much over one loss, or one win! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Stamford Chidge & Jonathan Kydd are joined by Dan Silver and Mark Meehan to look ahead to Tuesday night's Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Middlesbrough,In part one, Mark reports back from the Chelsea Pitch Owners AGM, held on Friday and discusses what was said and where next in a very important time for the Club and CPO with a stadium redevelopment or move in the offing. In part two we welcome back Dylan Polk from Carefree Louisiana to talk about their forthcoming annual 'Bluesday' event in New Orleans, centred around the Chelsea v Wolves match, his view on this season and a view on the American ownership from the US supporter's perspective. In part three we preview the Chelsea v Middlesbrough match starting with JK's summary of today's presser and Chidge's team selection. Will Boro target Colwill again – should Chilly start? What do we do up front given we need to win by 2 goals? Will Chelsea rise to the occasion like they did v Newcastle with a Wembley final and an incredible home record v Middlesbrough to uphold? It's genuinely massive tomorrow and kicks off a big 10 days for Chelsea with Boro in the Carabao Cup; Villa in the FA Cup and Liverpool in the Premier League. Will we find our way in to another Cup final and closer to another one or dip out of both in a week like we did 30 years ago? We wrap up with how we see the match going and our predictions. And on a sad final note, mark the passing of Tommy Baldwin, one of the King's of the Kings Road team of the late 1960's and early 1970's. Tommy was well loved by Chelsea supporters, was affectionately known as 'The Sponge' and was lauded with a brilliant song. Let's hope the Pearly Gates serenade him with a fine rendition of "His name is Tommy Baldwin, he's the leader of the team...". Farewell Tommy, thanks for the memories and Rest in Peace. This after he first stopped at a Historical Black College and University -- Edward Waters University.According to Jacksonville Sheriff, T.K. But we take issue with the Sheriff's description of this incident as a lone-wolf incident.I'm sure we will find that the manifesto mirrors the same ideology, beliefs, and even syntax of the the TOP's Grocery Store shooter in Buffalo, NY.We're calling on TK Waters to release the manifesto.

Arya thinks it's the Blackwater Rush, assuming the Hound is taking her back to King's Landing. When the pair reach the far side of the river, after a wild ride, the Hound pays the rate with the IOU provided to him by the Brotherhood Without Banners when they took his gold. The ferryman isn't happy, and the Hound figures that'll prevent him from taking paper promises from any future patrons. The Hound learns that Arya met his brother Gregor, when Gregor had taken her captive and marched her to Harrenhal. The Hound gets a kick out of the idea that Gregor had such a prized possession and didn't realize it. The Hound tells Arya of how he saved Sansa from danger during the riot of King's Landing and tells Arya that if she behaves they'll make much better time. When the Hound asks Arya where she thinks they're going, she realizes it's not King's Landing like she thought. It turns out he's taking her to the Twins. He plans to ransom her to her family and hopes to be handsomely rewarded for his efforts. If they hussle, they might even make it in time for her uncle's wedding.Characters/Places/Names/Events:Arya Stark - Younger daughter of Ned and Catelyn Stark. Stamford Chidge & Jonathan Kydd are joined by Chelsea author Mark Meehan to look back at Chelsea's 2004-05 season. In part two, we pick up the story in January 2005. Under the management of Jose Mourinho, Chelsea were top of the league, 7 points clear with 55 points, the largest points tally at this stage in the PL ever, and were fighting for trophies on all fronts with qualification for the Champions' League round of 16 achieved with 13 points and a Carling Cup semi-final against Man Utd to look forward to in the New Year as well as the FA Cup.All eyes were on Stamford Bridge as we took on Man Utd in the first leg of the Carling Cup semi-final. A cagey 0-0 with Utd using every trick in the book was followed by a 2-1 win at Old Trafford to seal a place in the final at the Millenium stadium in Cardiff. The arrival of Abramovich and Mourinho notwithstanding, this was Chelsea's 12th cup semi-final in 12 seasons and the first time defeat had been inflicted on Alex Ferguson's Utd in a domestic semi-final.Back in the Premier League Chelsea passed the stern 'can they do it on a cold night in Blackburn' test standing up, literally to the physical intimidation meted out by Mark Hughes dirty side. Arguably this was the match that sealed the title for Chelsea, at least in terms of belief. February and March brought a plethora of high profile and must win matches which was to become the norm for Chelsea througout Abramovich's tenure. Newcastle knocked us out of the FA Cup, ending the pursuit of all four trophies. Barcelona beat Chelsea 2-1 at the Nou Camp in a controversial match where we had the upper hand until Drogba was sent off by Anders Frisk for a dubious second yellow. And in the space of a week, Chelsea defeated Liverpool in the Carling Cup final having gone 1-0 down after a Riise goal on 1 minute and rescued by a Steve Gerrard goal on 79 minutes, before Drogba and Kezman settled matters in a 3-2 win.March saw the return of Barcelona to Stamford Bridge and one of the greatest matches ever seen in the club's 100 year history as Chelsea stormed to a 3-0 lead inside 20 minutes only to be pegged back by a remarkable Ronaldinho goal which left the crowd silent in consternation, before John Terry ensured a 4-2 win on the night and a 5-4 win on aggregate. A quarter-final tie against Bayern Munich was Chelsea's reward and another classic played out in the first leg at Stamford Bridge, almost matching the Barcelona match for excitement and quality, with one of Frank Lampard's best goals for the club a highlight in a 4-2 win. Chelsea got the job done in the last match to be played at the Olympiastadion albeit with a couple of late goals from Bayern to cause more anxiety than we needed.Attention moved back to the Premier League. Would Chelsea win it against Fulham on the 50th anniversary to the day of our our first league title? Had we not drawn at home to Arsenal we would have, but we were destined to wait until the Bolton away match, just as Jose Mourinho had predicted months ago. The small matter of the club's second and consecutive Champions' League semi-final against Liverpool preceded Bolton. Thanks to a solitary ghost goal by Luis Garcia at Anfield, Chelsea were denied a final appearance again and our modern rivalry and enmity with Liverpool and Rafa Benitez was confirmed. It should have been crushing, but in truth it wasn't, because a few days earlier, Chelsea defeated Bolton thanks to two Frank Lampard goals to lift the Premier League for the first time in their history. Many of us never believed we'd see the day; tears were shed, friends were embraced and a massive party in the Kings Road ensued. Chelsea's greatest ever season? No doubt! Hosted on Acast. We are so excited to share this new season with you. Keeping you company through the Winter!!!We would love to hear your feedback: https://survey.euro.confirmit.com/wix/2/p703696360272.aspx?l=9&src=1&HQLType=6&foreignID=%5BID%5DStarting his career 3 decades ago at an age too young to mention, Fat Tony has had his say in paving the way for the UK's current music scene. Early on he won residencies for Trade at Turnmills, Egg and Limelight while also making his mark in New York holding a weekly show at The Palladium for Steve Rubell during the height of Paradise Garage. He has also graced the main floor of Privilege Ibiza, Space, Amnesia and DC10. A regular at Ministry of Sound and Glitterbox, Tony has already in this short season of 2021 played Defected Festival in Croatia, One Out & Wilderness Festival and countless other venues with The Warehouse Project and so much more around the corner. As official DJ to the icons like Elton John, Kate Moss and Donatella Versace, he is also one of the fashion scene's go to performers. As one of club culture's most notorious - and best loved - figures, Tony is a complete force of nature. In his recent book I Don't Take Requests, he tells the most extraordinary stories of depravity and hedonism, of week-long benders and extreme self-destruction - and of recovery, redemption, friendship and the joy of a good tune.'Anyone can get a party started, but no one keeps it going like Fat Tony, the energy never dips andwhat a life he's lived.. He's a tosser but we still love him.' ELTON JOHN & DAVID FURNISHDJ Fat Tony has been described as 'the closest thing that club culture has to a national treasure' and the 'unlikely cult hero of quarantine'. Few people have crammed so many lives into one: when your first line of cocaine is aged 16 with Freddie Mercury, where do you go from there? I Don't Take Requests is Fat Tony's breathtakingly candid and outrageous memoir of a life of extremes. From his childhood on an estate in Battersea where he honed his petty criminality, was abused by an older man and made friends with Boy George, to his teenage years spent parading the Kings Road in his latest (stolen) clobber, working as a receptionist for a prostitute, hanging out with Leigh Bowery and Sue Tilley and creating his drag persona, to his life as DJ to the stars and his spiral into serious drug addiction. Now, he is 16 years sober and, alongside working to help others overcome addiction, DJing for everyone from Elton John to Louis Vuitton - and running one of lockdown's most popular Instagram accounts with its wickedly funny memes.
