We're back this week, and we put YOU in charge of the show! We asked you for your Metroid Fusion questions, and you delivered big time! We're touching on subjects like; how could the B.S.L. blow up SR388 just by crashing into it? What's our favorite sound effect from the game? How would we want a remake to handle the SA-X? What's our alternate ideas for how Adams AI could have developed consciousness? Could the intro on SR388 become a playable prologue? If we could change one thing about Fusions story, what would it be? How would we have designed the Varia Suit to avoid the puke colors? All this, and so much more! All this, PLUS we set the stage for next weeks MASSIVE SHOWDOWN between the Zelda Cast and Omega Metroid Podcast's crews as we celebrate our 300th episode! We have a special Jeopardy game planned, so make sure you come and join us on Twitch to watch! Visit OmegaMetroid.com! Subscribe! Podbean x iTunes x Spotify x YouTube Support us on Patreon! Inspired By Metroid returns, this time, to a post apocalyptic world where humanity is no more and only robots remain! We're playing Haiku, The Robot, a Game-Boy-Color-influenced Metroidvania from developer Mister Morris games and giving our thoughts on the games world, story, boss fights, and so much more! Playing as the cute robot Haiku, you could be the answer to a mysterious virus that's plagued the planet for years. Does Haiku, The Robot rise above and carve out a place for itself among the best Metroidvania's available on the Switch, or does the games virus prove to be its undoing? Come hang out with us to find out! All this, PLUS some Twilight talk and getting ready for next week's Mapping Metroid when we finally journey to Samus Returns' SR388! PLEASE NOTE - We had an audio snafu in this episode with Andy's mic settings, so unfortunately his voice sounds a bit robotic (fitting!), so our sincerest apologies for this! The issue has been fixed, so if you can put up it for this week, we'd really appreciate it! Visit OmegaMetroid.com! Subscribe! Podbean x iTunes x Spotify x YouTube Support us on Patreon! Transcrição do Episódio Música: Surface of SR388, Ancient Chozo Ruins, Caverns 1, Crateria e Lower Brinstar por Daisuke Matsuoka. Metroid Fusion month continues, as this week the boys are joined by Joey Ferris of GameXplain to discuss what they want in a hypothetical Metroid Fusion remake? Is to time to bring back voice acting? Would the Sectors being more interconnected lead to more exploration? How cool would playing as Samus on SR388 during the prologue be? And what's Andy's big idea on how to revamp encounters withe the SA-X that takes inspiration from the E.M.M.I.'s? There's so much to talk about beyond standard quality-of-life updates, so come listen to our pitches. All this, PLUS we recap the Game Awards, talk about what we like, what we didn't, and that bizarre ending! Come hang with us! Visit OmegaMetroid.com! Subscribe! THE METROID SPECIES, THE SPACE PIRATES, AND THE PLANET ZEBES HAVE BEEN ERASED FROM THE UNIVERSE. The planet SR388 has been having strange ecological disturbances since the eradication of the Metroids by the greatest space hunter, Samus Aran. When she investigates the planet with a survey crew from Biologic Space Laboratories, a mysterious parasite named “X” infects her body and suit. Saved only by a vaccine made from the cells of the last infant Metroid, she is transformed into a new being - part human, part Metroid - the only being in the universe that can stop the threat of the “X”. Thank you to James Shuar, @luministmusic for allowing us to use his music in the intro and outro!
“So the Galactic Federation called it's members to an urgent conference to find a way to overcome this menace. They quickly came to one conclusion, which was unanimous and simple…give Samus Aran the order to exterminate the Metroids!” Five years after the release of Metroid, Gunpei Yakoi and the team at Nintendo R&D1 sought to utilise the then new Gameboy platform to bring the graphics and explorative gameplay from the original NES title to the new handheld device. Join Rich, Leah and returning contributor Johannes Nichell as they discuss Samus's second mission, the eradication of the Metroid life forms and the Legacy of Metroid II: Return of Samus. http://media.blubrry.com/caneandrinse/caneandrinse.com/podcast/cane_and_rinse_issue_490.mp3 Music featured in this issue:1. THE YEAR IS 20X5 IN THE HISTORY OF THE COSMOS. The unknown life-form code-named “METROID” discovered by the GALACTIC FEDERATION on Planet SR388 has been stolen by SPACE PIRATES. The greatest of all the space hunters, SAMUS ARAN, has been sent on a one-man mission to penetrate the SPACE PIRATE base on planet ZEBES and destroy METROID before it is transformed into a WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION. Even with his robotic SUPERPOWERS and SPACE SUIT, will he be able to save the galaxy? Meanwhile, in another timeline… The year is 20X5 of the Cosmic Calendar. Space Pirates have seized samples of the incredibly dangerous life-form “Metroid” discovered by the Galactic Federation on planet SR388. In their hands, Metroid could destroy all of galactic civilization. Only the greatest bounty hunter, Samus Aran, is able to penetrate the Space Pirate base on Planet Zebes, her homeworld, once populated by the enigmatic Chozo. Can this one-woman army defeat the Space Pirates, destroy Metroid, and save the galaxy? Thank you to James Shuar, @luministmusic for allowing us to use his music in the intro and outro!

In the final episode of our Metroid series, Neil (@neilbigdeal) and Lawerence (@Producedby_Lk) drop the BSL on SR388 and call it quits with the Galactic Federation. This is an [Expert] level episode, which means some parts of the discussion may not make sense unless you’ve played the game. Expect lots of spoilers.

It's E3 week and clearly we are excited. We had all just finished watching the Bethesda showcase so we talk a lot about that (with good reason!). There aren't many new releases this week that we care about because it's E3 week! We discuss a bit about what we would like to see out of E3 this year.
