His one, small step with Earthcore led to many giant leaps for podcast fiction over the years. It was the very first podcast-only novel. You couldn't get it anywhere else, you had to listen, week by week. Scott mostly just voices his own stuff, so I'm honored to have a pioneer like him performing Daniel McEntyre.

You get an idea for a story. Now what? What happens between the inspiration and perspiration? How do you prepare and develop a story idea so it's ready to be written? That's what I asked seven gifted and articulate writers at this year's Balticon 48 (sponsored by the Baltimore Science Fiction Society). The answers from Paul E. Cooley, Jared Axelrod, Maria V. Snyder, Starla Huchton, Pip Ballantine, Nobilis Reed, and Myke Cole are as diverse and inspired as the people we asked.
Author and writerly guru, Delilah S. Dawson - author of the Blud Series, featuring "Wicked as They Come", "Wicked as She Wants", and "Wicked After Midnight", and her latest work, a YA tale titled "Servants of the Storm", as well as being the instructor for a fabulous Worldbuilding Workshop at LitReactor (firing up Sept 10), returns to the Big Chair at the Roundtable to lend her writerly mojo to our brainstorming efforts. My splendid co-host, Starla Huchton, and I are joined by creageous Guest Writer Karey Bunch who brings a tale of monsters hiding in plain sight, a monster squad assigned to dealing with them, and a young woman who gets swept up in all the adventure. The story sparks a froth of discussion as we weave our way through a catacomb of possibilities, unearthing some glittering fragments of Literary Gold along the way.
One thing many writers never have a shortage of is ideas. How do you know if an idea is worth exploring and writing though? O'Donnell and Morgen Rich live in the audience!A huge thanks to Starla Huchton for the brand new cover artwork!

A listener contacted me because there seemed to be a plot gap between #20 and #21, and indeed, he was correct. Here is the missing episode which tells how the Starship Hanno was faced with spending a very long time getting anywhere safely, until Commander Jose Aguire came up with his plan for navigating through a dangerous energy field. This book is now available as a paperback on the Amazon website, and should be available for Kindle on 10/22/13. I hope you are enjoying the audio version, but I know many people will prefer reading rather than listening. The cover artwork design is by Starla Huchton. Editing was accomplished with the help of the South Bay Writer's group in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Jeremy Leclerc is a Knight Templar. In his journeys, he's encountered many supernatural beings, some friendly, some less-than-friendly. But now, women have been disappearing throughout Charlotte because of a hideous, soul-sucking creature. Has he met his match this time? Afterward, Big and Rish talk about proper pronunciation of words versus saying things the cool-sounding way, French accents and their ability or lack of ability to scare away listeners, and what stuff we might have prepared for you in the future on the podcast.Special thanks to Bryan Lincoln for producing the episode and to Starla Huchton, Kathryn Pride, L. “Scribe” Harris, and Kathy Bowler lending their voices to the tale, as well as Michael Church for the art.
In this sequel to "The Battle of Leila the Dog," everybody's favorite Gartino, Cy De Gerch, returns home to Mars after nearly losing her life and her ship. But Mars is not the home she remembers . . . and her life there is not quite her own. Afterward, Big and Rish talk about second chances and parallel timelines. With lots of irritating musical references. Be warned. Special thanks to Renee Chambliss for producing today's story and to Starla Huchton, Dave Robison, and Renee Chambliss for lending their voices to the tale.
I've got three different things for you here. First is a short piece we did in "Exquisite Corpse" Second is the result of my competition in "Erotica a la Carte: Iron Chef" voiced by Tobias Queen and Veronica Giguere, a couple of very talented voice artists.
