As 2020 comes to a close, we are already looking forward to a new year—and to a world very different from the one we’re leaving behind. Areas of the economy have been damaged and may never fully recover, but other areas will adapt, reinvent, and help reinvigorate growth. This week Brian Ullmann and Steve Jolly get together to cover what may be on the investing horizon next year by looking at monetary and fiscal policy, the economy, stocks, and bonds.Continued progress in the response to COVID-19, including further stimulus measures by the government, will be key to sustaining the economic recovery. As the pandemic subsides, restrictions are lifted, and consumers’ daily lives return to something close to normal, the pace of the recovery most likely will pick up speed.Sound financial advice charted a long-term path for many investors that kept them from getting off course in a turbulent 2020. There still will be risks to navigate in 2021, but it’s important to remain focused on long-term investing goals, stay on course, and power forward.Ford Financial Group on FacebookFord Financial Group on YouTubeQuestions?Find us at FordFG.comEmail us at info@fordfg.comMusic:Cold Funk - Funkorama by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license. Mission designs for human trips to Mars are common, but Lockheed Martin's "Mars Base Camp" is something fresh. That's because it's a collaborative, orbit-first, science-focused approach, so it means the plan is a realistic path forward from NASA's Deep Space Gateway. Complete with a habitat, a laboratory, propulsion, power and two Orion capsules, it's a complete beachhead for a human trip to the red planet. It's even got a lander! The Marketing Genius Podcast: Real Estate Marketing | Digital Strategy | Technology | Leadership
For many real estate agents, the 2008 housing crash was a disaster. Yet even in the darkest days, there were still corners of our industry that found a way to thrive. Distressed sales, for instance, made up almost a third of all real estate transactions in 2009, with real estate owned properties taking the biggest chunk of that market. And that was good news for Steve Jolly. A former home improvement contractor with a background in selling to businesses, Steve realized in 2005 that the REO market was a strong fit for his experience. Over the next few years, Steve closed hundreds of deals. But as the market recovered, the REO market began to shrink. Today, distressed sales are at a nine-year low nationwide. Yet Steve's business is still booming, and it's all thanks to clever marketing. No fan of traditional outbound marketing methods, Steve developed a direct marketing strategy that's helped him close dozens of REO sales every year. He's even written a book: “Kill Cold Calls.” In this interview, Steve Jolly explains his system for using digital marketing tools and content to generate and convert more leads, without resorting to cold calls.
What a pleasure finally connecting with Steve Jolly! We run in many of the same circles, it's crazy it took us this long to meet! As a marketing expert, Steve gives us a sneak peek behind his own marketing plan and how he builds and maintains relationships that lead him to more sales. Technology is a real estate agent’s marketing dream! The number of platforms available to agents for marketing themselves for FREE is at an all time high. Email, text, websites, social media...but where to begin?! Before you do anything, you have to know your target audience! It makes establishing that relationship and connection SO much easier. Give them a peek behind that happy social media curtain, show them vulnerability, there is value in compelling your audience to not only desire to work with you, but to know you personally. Take a listen as Steve shares more about getting to know your audience, the fortune in the follow up, and the value of building relationships with prospects that ultimately leads to conversion and forever clients.
