It's a snowy start in Dunedin this morning, with a heavy downfall expected until nine o'clock. A second Antarctic front has brought a fresh flurry overnight, falling across the Southern and Eastern coasts of the South Island. Just a month ago a thick coating of snow caused more than thirty car crashes around Otepoti. Dunedin mayor Aaron Hawkins spoke to Susie Ferguson.

The call is out to bring passenger rail back in the south. Dunedin City Council has approved a submission to central government calling for the return of passenger rail between Christchurch, Dunedin and Invercargill. The Southerner express service ran between the three cities until 2002. Mayor Aaron Hawkins told Mike Hosking they know there's demand locally for this service. There are reports of cost cutting in the plans for Dunedin's new hospital. Proposals apparently include reducing the number of beds and operating theatres, and dropping entire wards. Health Minister Andrew Little reckons he's had no advice about any proposed changes to the scale of the projects. The group began the occupation on February 11, ostensibly in support of the larger anti-mandate protest in Wellington. But, as Timothy Brown reports, with most mandates lifted and the council's vaccine pass requirements scrapped, they've now outstayed any welcome they might have had.

One role was the role of Danny the Jewish neighbor and the second role was a shopper in a store. Aaron is also known for Dan Brady: Something from the Past (2017) Evil Lurks (Creator, Director 2021). Aaron has also been in numerous short films as a police officer, villain and a 1920s gangster.
