[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Over the past decade, Transportation Network Companies (TNCs) like Uber and Lyft have shifted the role of ridesharing from cool to necessity within the modern movement economy. However, as TNCs start to expand their services - through e-scooters, e-bikes, and even public transit connectivity - dynamics within their user base, driver pool, and overarching business models are, in turn, affected. In this episode, host Dennis Wisco speaks with ridesharing expert and entrepreneur Harry Campbell, and CoMotion MIAMI's Jonah Bliss, to answer the ever-looming question: Has ridesharing plateaued? Entrepreneur and ex-aerospace engineer Harry Campbell is the founder of TheRideshareGuy.com, a blog, podcast, and YouTube channel dedicated to reaching rideshare drivers and enthusiasts alike to serve as a platform for drivers to connect and share their experiences. Always having been drawn to uncovering the inner-workings of our modern world, Harry studied aerospace engineering at UC San Diego and then worked for six years at Boeing. After a while, Harry realized a yearning to embark upon his own entrepreneurial endeavors and entered the gig-economy. Harry started blogging about his experiences and conversations, and TheRideshareGuy.com was born. In addition to his dedicated content on TheRideshareGuy.com, Harry continues to write for top tech publications, like WIRED, Forbes, Fusion & Business Insider. His first book, “The Rideshare Guide,” was published in 2018. The Rideshare Guy was founded in 2014 and has quickly grown into a thriving community for rideshare drivers across the globe. Harry and his team post monthly content on their blog, podcast, and youtube to help hundreds of thousands of drivers work smarter and not harder to capitalize on their full potential in the gig economy. TheRideShareGuy.com also offers advice and services beyond the basics of rideshare culture, and has resources for drivers spanning from insurance, taxes, policy information, mileage tracking, and even “Life After Ridesharing.” Tune into this episode as Dennis, Harry, and Jonah address trending topics in the rideshare economy, including regulatory policies and outcomes like California AB-5 and Congestion at the Curb white paper. Harry Campbell is is the founder of TheRideshareGuy.com, a blog and podcast for rideshare drivers. Despite the ‘unique' niche, he is getting ver 1 million page views a month across our websites and Youtube channel and has 75,000 e-mail subscribers. “be open to lots of opportunities because I think especially when you are first getting started out if everything that you are doing has a calculated reason then you may not find kind of what you are looking for. The path to entrepreneurship, there aren't many people who wake up and say oh I'm going to go and start a blog about Uber and Lift Driver because five years ago the industry didn't even exist. So I think the ultimate goal for a lot of entrepreneurs is unknown and in order to get there you just have to try a lot of stuff and be open to a lot of opportunities…” …[Listen for More] Click Here for Show Notes To Listen or to Get the Show Notes go to https://wp.me/p6Tf4b-6W1
Not too long ago I recommended The Rideshare Guy podcast because I’ve fallen in love with it. That and his website, the Rideshareguy.com. Harry Campbell allows us to look at a space from a different angle than we usually do on this show. So, here’s a great conversation with Harry about the rideshare driver community! What they think about the upcoming IPOs, what they think about the ridesharing platforms generally, who might be the driver’s favorite, what do they think about self-driving cars? TheRideShareGuy.com

Can you imagine what it would be like to pull up to your passengers in a Tesla? It may sound crazy, but that's exactly what today's interview is all about. Andy Slye is a successful YouTuber who owns a Tesla Model 3. He recently used his Tesla for some ridesharing and captured the reactions of his passengers. Today I’m thrilled to have Harry Campbell on the show. Harry is someone who I just met at the financial blogging conference in San Diego and we actually met playing basketball. A few conversations later and I knew that I wanted to have him on the podcast. Harry has an interesting story. He started his site TheRideShareGuy.com in 2014 when he was a full time aerospace engineer and part time Uber and Lyft driver.
