My guest on the show today is Todd Cravens, CEO of Galaxy Gaming, Inc. (OTCQB: GLXZ). Galaxy Gaming, Inc. is a gaming company that designs, develops, acquires, assembles, markets, and licenses proprietary casino table games and associated technology, platforms, and systems for the gaming industry. The company's proprietary table games comprise side bets, which are proprietary features and wagering options added to public domain games, such as poker, baccarat, pai gow poker, craps, and blackjack table games; and premium games, which are stand-alone games with their own unique set of rules and strategies. It offers side bets under the Lucky Ladies, 21+3, and Bonus Craps titles; and premium games under the Heads Up Hold 'em, High Card Flush, Cajun Stud, and Three Card Poker. I think Galaxy Gaming has always stood out in my mind because at one of my first investor conferences, they had a blackjack table set up in the sponsor area. And, when I was getting my start on this MicroCap journey, I got to network and chat with fellow MicroCap investors over a couple games. I can't believe that was back in 2011, and the company has been through a lot since then. CEO, Todd Cravens and I, discuss quite a bit, including: Settling up corporate issues with Galaxy's former CEO Accelerating the business out of COVID Understanding Galaxy's business model Barrier to entry and moats around Galaxy Gaming With that, please enjoy my conversation with Todd Cravens, CEO of Galaxy Gaming. A 2017 lawsuit between OJ Simpson and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas was finally settled on March 31 in Clark County District Court. The terms of the settlement were not released. Simpson was suing the casino resort for defamation of character. This was related to an incident at a steakhouse and lounge inside that property. Simpson was banned from The Cosmopolitan for drunk and disorderly behavior. He claimed defamation of character when media source TMZ stated he “was drunk and became disruptive.” The casino’s defense was that Simpson’s character was already tarnished due to his criminal record. A Pair of Six-Figure Jackpots Claimed at Lake Tahoe CasinosCaesars Entertainment owns and operates Harrah’s and Harvey’s Lake Tahoe casino and resorts in Stateline, Nevada. This town is located on the southeastern shore of the lake. Both properties were in the local news lately after paying out a pair of six-figure Mega Progressive Jackpots. James Snyder and his wife Annette won $529,000 playing Three Card Poker at Harvey’s Lake. The couple was visiting from Minnesota. The top prize was won on a royal flush. On April 8, Robert Davis of Waco, Texas won $100,840 playing a Blazing 7’s progressive slot at Harrah’s. Both of the big winners are Caesars Rewards members. In-Play Wagers Drives Popularity of Betting on GolfLegal US sportsbooks are seeing an uptick in the weekly betting handle on professional golf. Betting on the outright winner of the current week’s tournament accounts for a small portion of the funds. A driving force in the increase can be tied to in-play bets. This pertains to the amount of money bet on golf after a tournament has gotten underway. A player’s odds to win the round, tournament or head-to-head matchup are constantly in flux as play wears on. Bettors can follow the action. They can then decide how they want to bet based on the changes in the odds.  East Alabama Search Warrants Turn Up Illegal Gambling MachinesA recent raid on nine different properties in Calhoun County turned up illegal gambling machines. Firearms and narcotics were also seized in the search. This took place on Friday, April 9. The Anniston Police Department released details of the raid to the general public. Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office also to part in the raid. The Piedmont and Jacksonville Police Department played a supporting role. These raids took place while Alabama lawmakers consider various legal gambling expansion legislation. This ranges from a state lottery to land-based casino gambling venues. Any proposal would be subject to a state-wide referendum vote.

Catawba Nation Plans Summer Opening for North Carolina ‘Pre Launch’ CasinoThe Catawba Nation and North Carolina have come to terms on a revenue sharing agreement tied to a new casino project. That compact just received approval from the Bureau of Indian Affairs. This clears the way to open a pre-launch gaming facility. This is the initial phase of the planned Catawba Two Kings Casino Resort at Kings Mountain. This 17-acre tract is located on Dixon School Road. Oregon State’s Unlikely NCAA Tournament Run Leads to the Elite 8The Oregon State Beavers were a 10-10 team in Pac-12 play this season. However, a three-game upset spree in the conference tournament secured a spot in the NCAA Tournament field. Oregon State was the No. 12 seed in the Midwest Region. After knocking off Tennessee and Oklahoma State, it landed in the Sweet 16. The Beavers were +5000 longshots among the final 16 teams. Those odds improved to +1400 after beating Loyola Chicago on Saturday. Oregon State will now face the No. 2 Houston Cougars in the Midwest Region final on Monday night. The Beavers are 7.5-point underdogs in that matchup.

Elliot Frome is a casino gaming analyst and the son of the late Video Poker Hall of Famer Lenny Frome. Lenny was a pioneer in the world of video poker and released a total of 9 books that revealed basic, intermediate and advanced video poker strategy to the general public for the first time ever. He died of a heart attack in 1998 but his son would continue in his father's footsteps with major contributions of his own to the video poker world.Education and Career Like his father, Elliot possesses a natural talent for mathematics and computing that has proven extremely helpful in his gaming career. This became evident when Frome junior was still in high school. He was able to design a Blackjack analysis program nearly 25 years ago using nothing but his high school computer. He put his gambling ambitions aside, however, to pursue a career in computer science. Elliot graduated from the State University of New York, where he majored in Computer Science and Business Administration. He spent 15 years as an analyst, systems designer and business analyst before finally deciding to get back to his roots and pursue casino gaming once again.Back to Video Poker This time he put everything he had into the dream and designed a video poker analysis program to aid in his strategy research. Even though there were already several video poker programs available at the time, Elliot wanted control over his own program so he could tweak it as he wanted and update it for the newest video poker variants. He would go on to use this program for years to help develop optimum strategies for the newest video poker games. Elliot now writes a weekly column for the "Gaming Today" publication and for the website "Casino City Times." His book titles include "Expert Strategy for Caribbean Stud", "Expert Strategy for Three Card Poker", "Expert Strategy for Four Card Poker" and "Expert Strategy for Five Deck Frenzy." Elliot's personal website is www.gambatria.com . Although Elliot is well known for his video poker writings, his emphasis is actually on analyzing all the newest casino games. The titles of his books show how far Elliot has expanded into the gambling world. Video poker is the one casino game in which players can gain an edge but his books on other casino games still come in handy for gambling enthusiasts. Whether or not a game is beatable in the long run, Elliot still provides expert strategy advice to help players make the best possible plays every time. If you'd like to get your hands on some of Elliot's most prolific writing, you should check out the book "Winning Strategies for Video Poker." It was originally written by his father at gamblersbookclub.com. Just keep in mind that the book was written by a major math mind, so some of it will be pretty advanced. You'll probably want to read up on our basic video poker strategies before tackling the advanced material presented in "Winning Strategies for Video Poker."
