Merry Christmas you beautiful people! It's another pam-jacked episode and we start off with another Jack Ask, but not only that, it has a fantastic new jingle. Quite frankly it's the highlight of the show. Then our Podcast Barman Bob Baker gives us another suggestion for how to keep it Christmassy all year, this one was sent in by Jennifer Kay and our podcast mascot Little Elmer.Next up is the quiz. I scored 7, see if you can beat that. Then it's the joke. The less said the better. This episode we're giving away some lovely little books. They're part of the 'Seth's Christmas Ghost Stories' series. All you have to do is contact me with the four little words 'Yeah, I'll 'ave 'em' or if you're a bit more refined you might like to say 'Yes, I will have them.'To learn more about the books here's a link:https://www.biblioasis.com/shop/fiction/short-fiction/christmas-ghost-stories-3-pack-2022/Then Bob is back and this week he's discussing how we described those gentlemen who collect your garbage or rubbish. This episode's version is the not particularly outstanding version by Jetlag Productions. There are one or two highlights but you can live without it.Here's a link:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5lpsKrv_EwThis episode's recommendation is The Happy Halloween podcast from friend of the show Tony Dixon. Jalen Milroe appears to be taking a commanding lead at quarterback. However, Ty Simpson, Tyler Buchner, and Dylan Lonergan may have something to say about it! The running back room is stacked, but there's a Crimson Tide ball carrier who's making a lot of noise, Jam Miller! Will he become the lead back? While we have questions, Coach Saban may already have his mind made up. We debate that possibility! This is the last full week of Alabama Fall Camp. Next week, preparations for Middle Tennessee State will begin. At this point, what are Tommy Rees, Kevin Steele, and Nick Saban looking for? How will the Crimson Tide close out camp? We talk about it! Last year, there were several players in the minds of fans who were underutilized or misused. Now they have a chance to shine under Rees and Steele. Who are those players who can break out in 2023? This week, we are joined by Alabama legend and former Dallas Cowboys safety Tony Dixon! We talk about his career and get his take on the current team. - The Bama Standard is hosted by Justin Riley, former Alabama linebacker Marvin Constant, former Alabama running back Bo Scarbrough, comedy legend Steve Brown, and senior analyst Stephen M. On this week’s episode of Grief Encounters, Sasha and Venetia speak to DJ and Radio Presenter Andy Preston. His voice will be familiar to many, as it accompanies Dublin offices and homes throughout the workday, but Andy’s backstory is one that is largely untold.Sadly death and grief has played a large role in Andy’s life from an early age, and is something that has accompanied him closely, for many years. Andy is the sole remaining member of his birth family, and has also suffered the loss of a best friend; fellow radio companion Tony Dixon. He first experienced loss when his sister Elaine died from an undiagnosed lung condition when Andy was 18 years old. This loss affected Andy on many levels, and in the interview he discusses with Sasha and Venetia how the loss turned him into an extremely angry young man.The conversation looks a lot at how Andy managed to learn something in grief, and cary that through to other stages in his life. In the case of his sister's death, this anger was able to evolve into Andy becoming a more mindful and considered person going forward into adulthood and beyond. Andy’s personal journey in grief is one filled with many highs and lows, and honest account of his own shortcomings and failures is what makes this such an interesting listen. If you're looking for a safe haven to express how you feel,Share articles, photos ,memories and more,Join the Grief Encounters Facebook Group,A place for support, compassion and empathy for those grievinghttps://www.facebook.com/groups/GriefEncounters/Music by: Nctrnm See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Luke 22:2-6 Tony Dixon, DCE When we refuse to let Christ be the one in control of our lives who are we letting take the wheel? Although Judas chose to give up Jesus to the religious leaders for 30 pieces of silver, this passage indicates who was truly scheming behind the scenes. In what ways might we let our guard down to the things that Satan uses to accomplish His work? Satan thought he had the upper hand by using Judas to betray Jesus, but it turns out that HE was the one playing into God’s master plan.
