Presented by Howard Technology Solutions, StrangeBrew Coffeehouse, and Pip Printing and Signs of Ridgeland - Turning points in the 31-9 loss on the road at Texas A&M.
Texas and Oklahoma renew the Red River Rivalry at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas on Saturday. You can catch the game at 2:30 Central on ABC. Topics in our preview include: Will Oklahoma start John Mateer or Michael Hawkins at quarterback? Texas's offense averages 6.2 per play, but much of that has come against bad teams or in games when the Longhorns trailed late. Oklahoma's defense has been terrific. The Sooners allow 7.2 points and 193 yards per game, and just 3.5 per play. Texas's defense has also been elite: 12.0 points and 261 yards per game, with 4.3 per play. However, the Longhorns gave up 29 points and 457 yards to a Florida team that had been awful offensively coming into last week's game. The Longhorns' Arch Manning continues to struggle. *GAMETIME SIDEKICKS* Use promo code SE16 for 20% off! http://www.gametimesidekicks.com/ HOF Get a 7-Day Free Trial + 50% Off your first month with code SE16. Chris Lee and Jay Greeson discuss their SEC football power rankings following the conclusion of Week 7 in the 2025 college football season with thoughts on where things stand for Georgia, Ole Miss, LSU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Auburn, Missouri, Alabama, Arkansas, Texas, South Carolina, Florida, and more. Unbeaten Missouri hosts red-hot Alabama in perhaps the SEC's most interesting game of Week 7, one that kicks off at 11 Central on ABC. Topics include: Alabama knocked off Georgia and Vanderbilt by playing keep-away from their opponents, out-snapping those teams 77-53 and 67-55, respectively. The Crimson Tide have turned it over just once all season. However, Missouri out-snaps opponents 80-50 on average, out-scores opponents 45.2-14.6 and is winning in total offense by an average of 548-198. Missouri quarterback Beau Pribula is a talented runner; Alabama had issues with Florida State's mobile Thomas Castellanos but did a good job of containing Diego Pavia last week. Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson is looking like a Heisman-Trophy candidate. Both teams have fantastic receiving duos in Germie Bernard and Ryan WIlliams (Alabama) and Marquis Johnson and Kevin Coleman Jr. Each team also feels great about its top running back. Missouri's Ahmad Hardy leads the country in rushing, while Alabama is much more potent with the return of Jam Miller. Alabama is battle-tested, with wins at Georgia and at home against Vanderbilt, while Missouri's top two wins are against Kansas and South Carolina, both in Columbia. The Crimson Tide's defense is also improving, with a tremendous shutout performance in the second half against Vanderbilt. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Georgia visits Auburn in the South's oldest rivalry, a game scheduled for 6:30 on ABC. Topics in our preview include: The spotlight is on quarterbacks Jackson Arnold (Auburn) and Gunnar Stockton (Georgia). Arnold has shown promise running the ball, but Auburn's passing attack has struggled as Arnold has held onto the ball too long and not able to get the ball to Cam Coleman and Eric Singleton downfield. Stockton has shown surprising play-making ability with his feet and has made big throws, like the one to London Humphries to beat Tennessee. Auburn will need to control the game with its rushing attack, but the Bulldogs have been good (3.0 allowed on sack-adjusted rushing plays) this season. The Tigers have allowed 16 sacks, but Georgia's made just five. Auburn's defense, led by Keldric Faulk, has given up just 4.9 yards per snap and 3.4 on rushing plays. This feels like a must-win game for Auburn coach Hugh Freeze, who'll go against perhaps the best coach in the country in Kirby Smart. *GAMETIME SIDEKICKS* Use promo code SE16 for 20% off! http://www.gametimesidekicks.com/ HOF Get a 7-Day Free Trial + 50% Off your first month with code SE16. Tennessee looks for revenge after Arkansas upset the Vols a year ago. This time, the game's in Knoxville at 3:15 Central, a game shown on the SEC Network. Topics in our preview include: Arkansas fired coach Sam Pittman after an embarrassing loss to Notre Dame and will re-boot with offensive coordinator (and former head coach) Bobby Petrino. An offense with Taylen Green and company averages 515 yards and 37.5 points per game, and runs and throws the ball exceptionally well. However, the Razorbacks' defense has been abysmal, allowing 41, 32 and 56 points the last three weeks while allowing 475, 489 and 641 yards in those three. Petrino cleaned house with his defensive staff during the bye week. Tennessee's offense is explosive. The Vols average 51 points, 77 plays and 535 yards per contest. Tennessee's muti-faceted rushing attack and up-tempo offense pose problems for an Arkansas team that isn't good in its front seven. The Vols can throw the deep ball with Joey Aguilar slinging it to Mike Matthews and Chris Brazzell Jr. *GAMETIME SIDEKICKS* Use promo code SE16 for 20% off! http://www.gametimesidekicks.com/ *HOF* Get a 7-Day Free Trial + 50% Off your first month with code SE16. In this episode, we relive Georgia's heartbreaking 24–21 loss to Alabama in Sanford Stadium. The episode opens with the gameday atmosphere, concession stands report, and some not-so-fun facts before shifting into a breakdown of how the Dawgs performed on offense, defense, and special teams. The controversial fourth-and-one call, third-down struggles, and the endless “Fire Bobo” chatter all get their fair share of discussion, but we also point out the bright spots that keep this team's goals alive. Along the way, there's reaction to the new AP Poll, a quick look back at Week 5's biggest games, and a preview of what's ahead with Kentucky. We hope you enjoy this episode, and as always, GO DAWGS! TIMESTAMPS:00:00:00 - Intro00:04:40 - Patron Shoutouts00:07:34 - Gameday Atmosphere00:17:02 - Weekly Concession Stand Report00:20:11 - Clark's Not-So-Fun Facts00:23:14 - UGA Offense vs Alabama Defense00:45:24 - UGA Defense vs Alabama Offense00:58:49 - UGA Special Teams01:00:56 - AP Poll Reaction01:02:42 - Week 5 Games Recap01:11:44 - Moving On! SUPPORT OUR PODCAST: For just $5/month, you can support our podcast & unlock exclusive perks.
