Share your lol moments of the episodeLet's talk about health insurance, reality TV, and Wattpad fanfictions, baby! This week we decided to take it easy. The holidays are always a super busy time and our mental health way too drained to talk about a movie. Tune in to hear us chat about a bunch of random topics (you know us, we can never stay on one topic) and if you listen, you'll have special access to Stacy's original Austin Mahone fanfics.Socials:Follow us on Instagram, TikTok and Threads @scaredybratspod
As we close out 2025, this final episode of The Happier Life Project takes a compassionate look back at a year that felt undeniably heavy for so many. With political tension, rapid leaps in AI, global conflict and a relentless cost-of-living crisis, it's no surprise that rates of anxiety and depression have soared worldwide. In this reflective bonus episode, Gabby explores the emotional toll of a turbulent year, and the unexpected clarity it can bring. Through the conversations held on this podcast, personal experiences, and even a year-end yoga class themed around shedding old skin for the Year of the Snake, Gabby invites listeners to consider what they're ready to release before stepping into 2026. Perfectionism, people-pleasing, carrying everything alone; what are you finally putting down? Plus, you'll hear highlights from her conversation with Reverend and the Makers' Jon McClure, recorded this time last year, where they discuss loneliness at Christmas, mixed seasonal emotions, and why dancing and music can be powerful tools for mental health. It's a gentle, grounding close to the year, and a reminder you don't have to earn rest with exhaustion. The Happier Life Project returns on January 1st 2026 with something special: a daily happiness hack every day throughout the month. If you're feeling suicidal, lonely, or depressed, the Samaritans helpline is available 24/7 at 116 123, including on Christmas Day. You can also use a text-based option like "Hey Sam" a mental health support text line for young people, by texting 439-726. How is it December already? Time for a mental health check-in. Many of us are feeling overwhelmed right now, and I want to validate that now more than ever. In this solo episode, I share my recent experience with OCD, and how my thoughts have been showing up related to the social media space. I validate how difficult and frustrating it can feel to live with these thoughts, while holding space for what life CAN be, despite the thoughts. Some days, I want to isolate and feel stuck in the thoughts. Other days, I show up despite the thoughts. Other days, I forget the thoughts are even there. We all have human moments and part of living with OCD is holding space for the good and bad days. I see you and am so glad you're here!STAY CONNECTED:INSTA: @trustandthriveTIKOK: @trustandthriveEMAIL: trustandthrive@gmail.com
This episode of Hire Expectations dives into a topic that does not get nearly enough attention. Men's mental health. In honour of Men's Mental Health Month, Nelson Borges joins us to talk about why safe spaces, real connection, and honest conversations matter more than ever. He breaks down the barriers that keep men silent and explains how peer support and community connection can completely change the game for emotional well being.Nelson shares practical steps men can take when they are struggling, including simple grounding strategies like the five second rule. We also explore how workplaces can build a culture that supports mental health year round rather than treating it like a once a year awareness campaign. For partners, friends, and family members, Nelson offers compassionate advice on how to show up for the men in your life without judgment or pressure. You will hear about helpful mental health resources, the role of technology in finding support, and the ripple effect that happens when one person chooses to reach out. At its core, this episode is about community support, courage, and breaking the stigma that still surrounds men asking for help. As Nelson says, it starts with compassion and it is absolutely okay to cry.

9/10/2025 Great podcast swinging right out of the gates where the guys talk about the opening of the week and On-Ramp starting and the energy lately in the gym. After that the guys dive into a topic relating to barbell club and how everyone needs to be more encouraging for people to stay lifting during the given time domain, and not sit out when their counterparts are continuing to increase in weight. After that we go into another talk about mental health and talk about our dad passing with his 15 year anniversary of his death happening last Friday. Artist - DrakeSong - Over My Dead Body

In this episode, I share how important it is to acknowledge the nuances of one's mental health and how OCD, anxiety, depression, whatever it is you are going through can look different for everyone and manifest differently for each person.I hope this episode can remind you that your experience does not need to match someone else's to be valid and real. I hope you can hold some compassion for yourself, even when others can't. Meghan and Miranda kick off with one of the wildest headlines yet: comedian Matt Rife has officially bought the Warren Occult Museum. Yes, the one that houses Annabelle the haunted doll. They've got thoughts (and maybe a few warnings). Then, the legendary Dr. Drew Pinsky joins for a deep dive into the psychological state of America post-2020. From the lingering effects of Covid-era fear to the unsettling surge in AI porn and hyper-potent marijuana use among young people, Dr. Drew brings sharp insight and serious perspective. It's part horror story, part health wake-up call... and 100% can't-miss.

So, bookkeepers… How are we feeling after the year-end rush? At least, I hope it's all wrapped up for you by now! Over here, we're just finishing up a couple final tasks, and we're feeling pretty good. Thanks to my year-end review process, the whole thing went off relatively without a hitch. Year-end is always going to be stressful, regardless of how well you prepare…but there is a difference between something being stressful and something being chaotic, and that shift can mean the difference between delivering a beautiful set of reconciled books to your client at the end of the year or handing them a messy set of books that barely got done in time for them to hand over to their CPA. So if you're sitting there going “Wait…what do you mean, year-end review?” then we've got some things to talk about. EPISODE RESOURCES: LAST CALL ON BABS!
