Send us a textIn this episode, Ike Barinholtz pulls up for a hilarious, unfiltered, and surprisingly deep convo. We kick it off with a quick mental health check before diving into why trading Luka for AD is like trading Casey Affleck for Timothée Chalamet (yes, it gets that random—and that real). We chop it up about QB dreams, the art of Running Point with Kate Hudson and how Central Intelligence almost didn't happen—plus the real story behind the Kevin Hart and The Rock bromance.Ike breaks down meeting Seth Rogen, the Zac Efron hype, and why John Cena might just be the biggest star on the planet. We touch the Oscars slap with Will Smith and Chris Rock, joke stealing in comedy, infighting among white and Black comedians, and how instrumental Key & Peele were to his growth as a comedian. We also get into the Ken he would've played in Barbie, the future of “White Chicks-style” comedy, Morgan Wallen ghosting SNL, and what comedians really think of Joe Rogan, Theo Von, and Andrew Schulz.Tap in—this one's full of laughs, real talk, and viral-worthy gold.-Mental Health Check 1:11-Luka Doncic trade impact on LA 1:47So you think you can play QB segment 6:07-Running Point with Kade Hudson 10:41-Central Intelligence- “No one wanted the movie” and why were Kevin Hart and The Rock were the perfect match. And starting their bromance” 13:24-Is Kevin Hart funny? 15:29-Meeting Seth Rogen for the first time and new Apple TV + Show The Studio 16:41-Is the Zac Efron Hype Real-19:13-John Cena is the biggest star in the world 20:37-Will Smith Slap at the Oscars 22:15-Which Ken Barbie would Ike Barinholtz have been in the movie -25:53-Acting with Amy Schumer on Snatched 27:19The Deep End 28:17-Keegan Michael Key and Jordan Peele-28:17-Do white comedians have as much infighting as black comedians? 30:45-Joke Stealing -31:50-Whats the next version of the White Chicks comedy movie? 34:24-Thoughts on SNL and Morgan Wallen walking off set abruptly 35:23-Thoughts on Joe Rogan, Theo Von and Andrew Schulz 38:56Top 5 Comedians all time-44:42-Motivation Speech as Barack Obama-46:26Stay Tuned and lets get OUTTA POCKET...Download the full podcast here:Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/outta-pocket-with-rg3/id1707075924Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/7Eg0XBDeL6GMz3fXbjWyEDFollow OUTTA POCKET on social media:Twitter - https://x.com/OuttaPocketRG3Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/outtapocketrgiii/TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@outtapocketrg3?lang=en

So, bookkeepers… How are we feeling after the year-end rush? At least, I hope it's all wrapped up for you by now! Over here, we're just finishing up a couple final tasks, and we're feeling pretty good. Thanks to my year-end review process, the whole thing went off relatively without a hitch. Year-end is always going to be stressful, regardless of how well you prepare…but there is a difference between something being stressful and something being chaotic, and that shift can mean the difference between delivering a beautiful set of reconciled books to your client at the end of the year or handing them a messy set of books that barely got done in time for them to hand over to their CPA. So if you're sitting there going “Wait…what do you mean, year-end review?” then we've got some things to talk about. EPISODE RESOURCES: LAST CALL ON BABS! In this emergency podcast, Dr. Kay shares her unpopular position that we should all be rejecting any making or taking of sides between Ubah & Brynn, and rather look at what happened with a trauma-focused lens, which changes how we understand the events. We can understand the contexts of both Ubah & Brynn, while still holding Brynn, as well as the bystanders, accountable for what they could have improved in such a high-activation scenario. Mental Health Check-Ups are typically only available for our Patreon members, but given the importance of these topics, this episode is currently available to all listeners!Love yourselves & one another--it takes all of us working together to subvert the societal oppression we face every day

From massive rap beefs to the Roast of Tom Brady and a full media debate between football and basketball players, it's been a week full of different controversies in pop culture. Ryan, Channing and Fred are back themselves to check in on one another and give their takes on some of the biggest stories. First, it's caps off to congratulate Freddy T, who full-filled a promise to his late grandmother of going back to college after 26 years to get his degree, a special moment for Fred and his family as well as our Pivot Family, sending an invaluable message to so many. The comedy and football scenes had a crossover with Netflix releasing the much-anticipated Roast of Tom Brady, and the guys give their reactions to the show. NFL locker rooms can have roast sessions of their own, but Ryan talks about why he could never be associated with an event like that. Channing is in the comedy scene himself, though, and he discusses how the comedians changed the way the roast was approached. In another major American sport, Austin Rivers made headlines with comments that said there are many more basketball players who could play football than vice versa. The guys agree that both take athleticism and skill, but Ryan and Fred emphasize that the difference between the sports comes from the culture of toughness, and that NBA guys could not take hits like them. In wrapping up with a talk about the Drake and Kendrick rap beef, the trio talk about how Kendrick won the battle itself before mentioning the bigger culture surrounding hip-hop. Many people attach themselves to certain figures in the spotlight, and The Pivot team is excited for fans to see what's in store for them very soon...
