In the last episode, I told you the story of two-year-old Lorenzo Velasquez and his nine-month-old sister, Brooklyn, whose mother, Brittany, left them in a hot car all day while she worked a twelve-hour shift. When she returned home, Brittany found her children dead in the car, and she was charged in their murder, later accepting a plea deal in exchange for a twenty-year prison sentence. In this episode, you'll hear my conversation with Brittany's brother, Vincent Velasquez, who spoke openly and candidly about his younger sister's mental impairments, his family's efforts to save her children, and his memories of his tiny nephew and niece. This is part two of the heartbreaking story of Brooklyn and Lorenzo Velasquez.Photos related to today's episode can be viewed on Facebook and Instagram:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sufferthelittlechildrenpodInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/sufferthelittlechildrenpodYou can also follow the podcast on: Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/c/sufferthelittlechildrenpodcast Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/STLCpodTumblr: https://www.tumblr.com/blog/sufferthelittlechildrenpodPinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/sufferthelittlechildrenpodTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@STLCpod My Linktree is available here: https://linktr.ee/stlcpod Visit the podcast's web page at https://www.sufferthelittlechildrenpod.com. DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis are on the MLB podcast discussing a double slate of action for FanDuel and DraftKings. There’s a lot to like about the afternoon and evening sets of games with some interesting pitching options and some real bums taking the mound as well. They take long looks at Patrick Corbin for the early slate and break down some of Luis Severino’s recent struggles on the later slate. They also discuss Vincent Velasquez, Mike Clevinger, and Clayton Kershaw as options. For stacks, the Mariners look to be in a great spot against Yovani Gallardo in the afternoon set of games. And in the evening the Yankees get Lucas Giolito, the Cubs face Heath Fillmyer and the Brewers look too cheap on FanDuel. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

DFSR's Doug Norrie and James Davis are back at it on the baseball podcast discussing a full slate of Tuesday action for FanDuel and DraftKings. They start off with the discussion about the ace-level arms of Justin Verlander and Chris Sale taking the mound. It's a tough choice between the two (assuming you can't play them together on DraftKings). Verlander has a slightly better matchup and moneyline, but Sale is clearly the better of the two arms.  They also look at guys like Domingo German, Vincent Velasquez and Jameson Taillon coming in the middle tier of starting pitchers on DraftKings.  On the offensive side of things, there's a game in Coors with a run line creeping towards 12. Nolan Arenado against a weak lefty is always a great spot and today could be a time to jam him into lineups. Plus they look at a bunch of other teams facing gas can arms.  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the podcast discussing a Tuesday slate of baseball action for FanDuel and DraftKings. They start off looking at some of the pitching options with Kenta Maeda leading the way against a weaker Marlins team. He comes in as a big money line favorite and did get over a 100 pitches in his last start. They also discuss Robbie Ray, Vincent Velasquez, Luke Weaver and Charlie Morton. On the offensive side of things, there’s a game in Coors which will likely dictate a great deal the ownership for Tuesday. The prices aren’t totally crazy and it’s easy to fit a lot of the bats in this game. But the guys also look at some other GPP pivots. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

This week, Steve Corino and Ian Riccaboni jump head first into the first fifteen games of the season after travels took both across the country and the world! First, Steve and Ian talk about the promise of the starting rotation, including Vincent Velasquez's masterful 16 K, 3 H, 0 BB performance last Thursday and how Ian kept up with the game while on line in Disneyland! They talk about the judicious use of the curveball, which through Tuesday, was on pace to break the modern record set by the 2012 Pirates. The common thread? Charlie Morton, the all-time leader in PitchFX stat Spin Rate measuring the rotations per minute on curveball. Next, the bullpen is discussed. David Hernandez is on pace (93) to break Kent Tekulve's 1987 single-season Phillies record for appearances in a season (90) but will he even last through April? Hector Neris has been discussed as a positive surprise and the shuffling of closers through Dailier Hinojosa to Jeanmar Gomez is discussed. Can Gomez be a long term option? Will he mature into a trade chip? From the good to the bad to the ugly: the Phillies MLB-worst offense is discussed. Steve plays guess the batting average and Steve and Ian discuss if there is any help in sight in the form of Cameron Perkins. The acquisition of outfielder Alfredo Marte is touched on before moving to the hot-hitting Andrew Knapp. With Phillies fans giving Ryan Howard and Carlos Ruiz "the legend pop", do you want to see Knapp put pressure on either with his hot hitting? Steve and Ian play the weekly game of "How long will Freddy Galvis last as the Phillies starting shortstop?" before moving into a hypothetical: with how bad the Braves are, the known unpredictability of the Marlins, and poor Mets hitting, does it pain you at all to think that this Phillies team could have started the rebuild earlier and potentially ran up wins on bad teams? Finally, we ask listeners to give Ian a wrestling nickname after his Wikipedia page was vandalized and was given the nicknames "The Riccabonesaw" and the "The Riccapocolypse". Best name gets a prize as Ian catches up with previous prizes awarded for past winners! Thanks for listening!
