Is Discipling Children a Biblical Priority? Matthew 18:2-5; Mark 10:13-16 In Response to what the Bible Says... The Barna Research Group reports that all facets of moral and spiritual developments start as early as age 2. By age 9, most children have their spiritual moorings in place. By the age of 13, their spiritual identity is largely set in place. International Bible Society indicates that 83% of all Christians make their commitment to Jesus between the ages of 4-14. What does the Bible say about Community? What does the Bible say about God's Word? "Scientists have recently determined that it takes approximately 400 repetitions to create a new synapse in the brain-unless it is done with play, in which case, it takes 10 to 20 repetitions!" As we get back into the swing of things after a new addition to the Timeout with Leaders family, Tyler White and Kevyn Rustici sit down with Daniel Bajus, Owner of Limitless Physical Therapy in Rochester, NY. "I find it ironic that in healthcare our number #1 problem today is burnout." said Dan, continuing to say "We take care of people but we can't take care of people at the same time." From the opening whistle, Dan took us to school on what lessons he learned coming from a family of seven, growing up on a farm, and embracing his faith to supercharge his leadership intention as well as company culture. He realized very early on that there is more to the person than just their professional contributions, that they must be holistically healthy in order for them to thrive individually, yielding better patient experiences, and outcomes. We can only do this if we ourselves are willing to block out the time for self-reflection and gratitude journaling. Because when our bucket is not full how can we expect to fill anyone else's?

In 2016 we talked with a group of 25 young people about the idea of “American Dream,” and what it meant to them. A lot has changed in the last five years, and the young people we spoke to have changed a lot too. They've since graduated from high school and college and some have entered the workforce. We wanted to check back in with a few of them to ask them what they think of the idea of the “American Dream” now. Our guests are Juma Sei, an American Studies major at Yale University; Grace Wong, a graduate of Wellesley College now working in finance; and Tyler White, a senior at Swarthmore College.

Tyler White and Kevyn Rustici take a TIMEOUT with Peter Wallin owner of Wallin Insurance who learned to skip the suit and tie early in his career, and just be himself was the best way to lead others. Peter discusses our fight for legitimacy early in life and how we start to turn our attention to our legacy over time. He also shares a story about a "cupcake shop" that many business owners can relate to and learn from. Eager to find some "thought partners" who are there as a sounding board to share ideas and resolve challenges. If we never think of failing, failure is never an option. Peter reminds us all it's ok to be "humble and hungry!"

The After Disaster is a fantastic Podcast about anything and everything that has been running strong since 2010. Tyler tells us about how his long running Podcast started with Anderson (Beauty) Cowan and Michael (Keith) Carano, how TyTy went from pool guy to KROCK to winning an EMMY, and going from high school through adulthood and into parenthood with the same Partner in Crime, Lauren (Lorenzo).Tyler, unintentionally, has plenty of great EX Drinking Buddy stories, including; Machete Night (a crazy drunken recording night early in their podcast), how Tyler, Lauren, and their friends would party supervised, Tylers “tracking alcohol”/ drunk driving tactics, almost getting arrested with water balloons, blacking out and embarrassing himself at Laurens work, fights, and MORE!!
