Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives. Here are the promises we covered this week. 2 Samuel 22:34 – God Will Secure My Steps. Isaiah 1:18 – My Sins Are White as Snow. Matthew 28:20 – The Lord is Always With You. Ephesians 1:18-19 – Jesus Opens My Spiritual Eyes. Ephesians 6:10 – I Am Strong in His Mighty Power.
Today's Promise: Isaiah 1:18 We all sin. It's both a part of our nature and our actions. Sin is a reality. Usually, when we sin, the last person we want to talk with is God. However, God invites us to come to Him when we sin. When we come to Him, He provides forgiveness and cleansing for our sins. The dark stains of our hearts can be cleansed and made as white as snow through the forgiveness God provides. Instead of running from God when you sin, come to Him with your sin. He will forgive your sin and cleanse your heart.
Some people have “miracle” testimonies and it can make the rest of us feel like we don't have a testimony. Paul corrects this by theologically telling us what happens when anyone believes in Jesus Christ.

Our great problem is our sin. Yet we are invited to come. How can God be just and justify sinners-- Only because He has found a Substitute. There is one condition before we can be pardoned. It is faith which is the same as coming to God.

Let's dive into chapter one of Isaiah this week! As we look at verses 1-20, we will get a glimpse into a vision that Isaiah received directly from God for the people of Judah. God has grown tired of their religious rituals that are not backed by true repentance or authentic worship, but are instead tainted by the presence of sin. And yet, there is hope for the cleaning of sin in the shedding of blood. Tune in with your Bible open and learn along with us today!

I greet you in Jesus' precious name. It is Tuesday morning, the 31st of October 2023, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in Isaiah 1:18: "Come now, and let us reason together,"Says the Lord,"Though your sins are like scarlet,They shall be as white as snow;Though they are red like crimson,They shall be as wool."And then we go to the last book in the Bible, Revelation 7:13: "Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, "Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?"And I said to him, "Sir, you know."So he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."What powerful scriptures! Is it possible that Jesus could give a sinner like you and me a second chance in life? The answer is yes, most definitely! Not only that, but He is more than willing to do it. You know, we are dirty, and we look like we have been rolling around in the mud sometimes, don't we? You know, when you get a little dog, a little puppy, and he comes to the farm, especially the farm, where there is all kind of mud and cow patties around and all kinds of things lying around - What does he do? He goes straight into that mud. Even that cow manure, and he rolls around in it, then he comes running into the house and mother just about tears her hair out. Nobody wants anything to do with that little puppy, right? Well, sometimes you and I mess up so badly no one wants anything to do with us, either. Many years ago, I used to show stud sheep at the show. I had Ile de France stud sheep. We used to take those beautiful rams and put them on a table, wash them down with soap and then we would even use shampoo. It would take a long time, but when we had finished, they looked magnificent, like they were coated with cotton wool. Lovely, soft, snow-white and not a mark on them, that is how we got the champion. I want to tell you today, "Don't roll around in the mud, in the cow patties of this world. Come to Jesus and let Him wash you so clean because He loves you so much. He is waiting for you in Heaven. Have a wonderful day,Jesus bless you, and goodbye.

Today's Promise: Psalm 51:7 We all suffer from the guilt and shame of our sin. Satan uses our guilt to keep us from going after all God has for us. This verse promises that God brings forgiveness and cleansing of our sin when we repent. When you repent of your sin, God cleanses you from the inside out. He forgives your sin and proclaims you clean before Him. His blood purifies your heart and life. He washes your heart so clean that it is whiter than the whitest snow.
